 HRT For Men Venice, FL

What Causes Menopause?

The most common reason for menopause is the natural decline in a female's reproductive hormones. However, menopause can also result from the following situations:

Oophorectomy: This surgery, which removes a woman's ovaries, causes immediate menopause. Symptoms and signs of menopause in this situation can be severe, as the hormonal changes happen abruptly.

Chemotherapy: Cancer treatments like chemotherapy can induce menopause quickly, causing symptoms to appear shortly after or even during treatment.

Ovarian Insufficiency: Also called premature ovarian failure, this condition is essentially premature menopause. It happens when a woman's ovaries quit functioning before the age of 40 and can stem from genetic factors and disease. Only 1% of women suffer from premature menopause, but HRT can help protect the heart, brain, and bones.

If you're a woman going through menopause and find that you have become increasingly depressed, you're not alone. It's estimated that 15% of women experience depression to some degree while going through menopause. What many women don't know is that depression can start during perimenopause, or the years leading up to menopause.

Depression can be hard to diagnose, especially during perimenopause and menopause. However, if you notice the following signs, it might be time to speak with a physician:

  • Mood Swings
  • Inappropriate Guilt
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Too Much or Too Little Sleep
  • Lack of Interest in Life
  • Overwhelming Feelings

Remember, if you're experiencing depression, you're not weak or broken - you're going through a very regular emotional experience. The good news is that with proper treatment from your doctor, depression isn't a death sentence. And with HRT and anti-aging treatment for women, depression could be the catalyst you need to enjoy a new lease on life.

Hot Flashes

Hot flashes - they're one of the most well-known symptoms of menopause. Hot flashes are intense, sudden feelings of heat across a woman's upper body. Some last second, while others last minutes, making them incredibly inconvenient and uncomfortable for most women.

Symptoms of hot flashes include:

  • Sudden, Overwhelming Feeling of Heat
  • Anxiety
  • High Heart Rate
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness

Typically, hot flashes are caused by a lack of estrogen. Low estrogen levels negatively affect a woman's hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls body temperature and appetite. Low estrogen levels cause the hypothalamus to incorrectly assume the body is too hot, dilating blood vessels to increase blood flow. Luckily, most women don't have to settle for the uncomfortable feelings that hot flashes cause. HRT treatments for women often stabilize hormones, lessening the effects of hot flashes and menopause in general.

Mood Swings

Mood swings are common occurrences for most people - quick shifts from happy to angry and back again, triggered by a specific event. And while many people experience mood swings, they are particularly common for women going through menopause. That's because, during menopause, the female's hormones are often imbalanced. Hormone imbalances and mood swings go hand-in-hand, resulting in frequent mood changes and even symptoms like insomnia.

The rate of production of estrogen, a hormone that fluctuates during menopause, largely determines the rate of production the hormone serotonin, which regulates mood, causing mood swings.

Luckily, HRT and anti-aging treatments in Venice, FL for women work wonders for mood swings by regulating hormone levels like estrogen. With normal hormone levels, women around the world are now learning that they don't have to settle for mood swings during menopause.

Weight Gain

Staying fit and healthy is hard for anyone living in modern America. However, for women with hormone imbalances during perimenopause or menopause, weight gain is even more serious. Luckily, HRT treatments for women coupled with a physician-led diet can help keep weight in check. But which hormones need to be regulated?

  • Estrogen: During menopause, estrogen levels are depleted. As such, the body must search for other sources of estrogen. Because estrogen is stored in fat, your body believes it should increase fat production during menopause. Estrogen also plays a big part in insulin resistance, which can make it even harder to lose weight and keep it off.
  • Progesterone: Progesterone levels are also depleted during menopause. Progesterone depletion causes bloating and water retention, while loss of testosterone limits the body's ability to burn calories.
  • Ongoing Stress: Stress makes our bodies think that food is hard to come by, putting our bodies in "survival mode". When this happens, cortisol production is altered. When cortisol timing changes, the energy in the bloodstream is diverted toward making fat. With chronic stress, this process repeatedly happens, causing extensive weight gain during menopause.

Low Libido

Lowered sexual desire - three words most men and women hate to hear. Unfortunately, for many women in perimenopausal and menopausal states, it's just a reality of life. Thankfully, today, HRT and anti-aging treatments Venice, FL can help women maintain a normal, healthy sex drive. But what causes low libido in women, especially as they get older?

The hormones responsible for low libido in women are progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone.

Progesterone production decreases during perimenopause, causing low sex drive in women. Lower progesterone production can also cause chronic fatigue, weight gain, and other symptoms. On the other hand, lower estrogen levels during menopause lead to vaginal dryness and even vaginal atrophy or loss of muscle tension.

Lastly, testosterone plays a role in lowered libido. And while testosterone is often grouped as a male hormone, it contributes to important health and regulatory functionality in women. A woman's testosterone serves to heighten sexual responses and enhances orgasms. When the ovaries are unable to produce sufficient levels of testosterone, it often results in a lowered sex drive.

 Hormone Replacement Venice, FL

Vaginal Dryness

Often uncomfortable and even painful, vaginal dryness is a serious problem for sexually active women. However, like hair loss in males, vaginal dryness is very common - almost 50% of women suffer from it during menopause.

Getting older is just a part of life, but that doesn't mean you have to settle for the side effects. HRT and anti-aging treatments for women correct vaginal dryness by re-balancing estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. When supplemented with diet and healthy living, your vagina's secretions are normalized, causing discomfort to recede.

Uterine fibroids - they're perhaps the least-known symptom of menopause and hormone imbalances in women. That's because these growths on the uterus are often symptom-free. Unfortunately, these growths can be cancerous, presenting a danger for women as they age.

Many women will have fibroids at some point. Because they're symptomless, they're usually found during routine doctor exams. Some women only get one or two, while others may have large clusters of fibroids. Because fibroids are usually caused by hormone imbalances, hysterectomies have been used as a solution, forcing women into early menopause.

Advances in HRT and anti-aging medicine for women give females a safer, non-surgical option without having to experience menopause early. At Global Life Rejuvenation, our expert physicians will implement a customized HRT program to stabilize your hormones and reduce the risk of cancerous fibroid growth.

Endometriosis symptoms are much like the effects of PMS, and include pelvic pain, fatigue, cramping, and bloating. While doctors aren't entirely sure what causes this painful, uncomfortable condition, most agree that hormones - particularly xenoestrogens - play a factor.

Endometriosis symptoms are much like the effects of PMS and include pelvic pain, fatigue, cramping, and bloating. While doctors aren't entirely sure what causes this painful, uncomfortable condition, most agree that hormones - particularly xenoestrogens - play a factor.

Xenoestrogen is a hormone that is very similar to estrogen. Too much xenoestrogen is thought to stimulate endometrial tissue growth. HRT for women helps balance these hormones and, when used with a custom nutrition program, can provide relief for women across the U.S.

 Sermorelin Venice, FL

What is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is a synthetic hormone peptide, like GHRH, which triggers the release of growth hormones. When used under the care of a qualified physician, Sermorelin can help you lose weight, increase your energy levels, and help you feel much younger.

 HRT Venice, FL

Benefits of Sermorelin

Human growth hormone (HGH) therapy has been used for years to treat hormone deficiencies. Unlike HGH, which directly replaces declining human growth hormone levels, Sermorelin addresses the underlying cause of decreased HGH, stimulating the pituitary gland naturally. This approach keeps the mechanisms of growth hormone production active.

  • Benefits of Sermorelin include:
  • Better Immune Function
  • Improved Physical Performance
  • More Growth Hormone Production
  • Less Body Fat
  • Build More Lean Muscle
  • Better Sleep
 Hormone Replacement Venice, FL

What is Ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin helps to release growth hormones in a person's body by mimicking a peptide called ghrelin. Ghrelin is one of three hormones which work together to regulate the growth hormone levels released by the pituitary gland. Because Ipamorelin stimulates the body to produce growth hormone, your body won't stop its natural growth hormone production, which occurs with synthetic HGH.

Ipamorelin causes growth hormone secretion that resembles natural release patterns rather than being constantly elevated from HGH. Because ipamorelin stimulates the natural production of growth hormone, our patients can use this treatment long-term with fewer health risks.

One of the biggest benefits of Ipamorelin is that it provides significant short and long-term benefits in age management therapies. Ipamorelin can boost a patient's overall health, wellbeing, and outlook on life.

When there is an increased concentration of growth hormone by the pituitary gland, there are positive benefits to the body. Some benefits include:

  • Powerful Anti-Aging Properties
  • More Muscle Mass
  • Less Unsightly Body Fat
  • Deep, Restful Sleep
  • Increased Athletic Performance
  • More Energy
  • Less Recovery Time for Training Sessions and Injuries
  • Enhanced Overall Wellness and Health
  • No Significant Increase in Cortisol

NORTH PORT – Roughly three years after Mattamy Homes created Downtown Wellen Park, the town center – positioned along a constructed 80-acre lake and anchored by a 97-year-old heritage oak tree and Great Lawn – is coming to life. Shops and restaurants that are part of the first phase should open throughout the spring.

“Downtown Wellen Park is open to everyone, it’s not just residents, and that’s the intention, said Rick Severance, president of Mattamy Homes’ Wellen Park Division. “We care as much about the guys that want to live here – it’s aspirational – or they want this to be a part of what they do on a weekend basis and they may not be residents of Wellen Park but maybe they’re residents of Englewood, maybe they’re residents of North Port, Sarasota.”

For now, the best way to get to Downtown Wellen Park is via Sunglow Boulevard.

New businesses:Why did Costco pick North Port?

From U.S. 41, visitors can either turn south on Preto Boulevard then east on Sunglow to the town center or turn south on West Villages Parkway, then west into the shopping center.

A turn south on Wellen Park Boulevard – which will someday connect to U.S. 41 by a roundabout – leads to existing parking lots and angle-in parking near Solis Hall and Villani & Co. Steak Seafood and Raw Bar.

Here are five things to know about Downtown Wellen Park:

Wellen Park's downtown centers around a 97-year-old oak tree

Twenty-six oak trees that dotted the former Thomas Ranch were moved from various locations to line a three-mile path encircling the lake.

The showpiece of the million-dollar relocation effort is a 97-year-old live oak heritage tree that has already been popular with adventurous climbers.

“Not only does it create the right sense of place, it gives us shade where we don’t have a lot of shade and we need it in this area – especially during the summer,” Severance said.

New Wellen Park restaurants, retail

While Downtown Wellen Park will offer retail options not available online, services such as Florida Lakes Vein Center and Florida Lakes Spa, and be home to a boutique hotel, most residents surveyed wanted upscale restaurant options.

Five restaurants and an ice cream shop are among the businesses set to open in the first phase of Downtown Wellen.

Brothers David and Dennis Valentino and partner Mark Costanzo will operate The Banyan House Restaurant, which will include indoor and outdoor seating and sunset views, as well as serve as the exclusive caterer for events at Solis Hall.

The Valentinos will also operate Acqua Pazza Coastal Italian.

Oak & Stone Craft Beer and Artisan Pizza offers a rooftop bar view of the lake at sunset.

Wellen Park has a special purpose license, allowing people who grab a beer at Oak & Stone to carry it outside to other public seating areas.

Tommy Villani, who already operates Irma's Tacos, Craft Beer and Tequila Bar in Wellen Park, plans to open Villani & Co., a steak, seafood and raw bar on Wellen Park Boulevard, across the street from the Great Lawn.

Wellen Park designed for outdoor events

Solis Hall – a combined event venue and performance stage – fronts the Great Lawn, where people can bring chairs to attend a free weekly concert series, set for 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays.

The green hosts yoga from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays and Zumba form 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays.

Also debuting later this year is Saturday movie nights, alternating family-friendly films and more sophisticated offerings.

Cornhole and live music are set for Wellen Wednesdays at The Yard, anchored by three retrofitted shipping containers that provide casual food service. Two of the three locations – Pop Dawgs and Claw & Co. – are open for events, while a third vendor featuring Mediterranean food is to open this spring.

Fitness activities for North Port's new downtown

Mattamy Homes founder and CEO Peter Gilgan is promoting a healthy lifestyle. More than 20 miles of trails connect all of Wellen Park, including the trail around the lake. It’s not surprising that Kind Vibes Outfitters – which rents bicycles, electric bicycles and kayaks – is among the first stores to open.

Downtown Wellen features a public dock, where people can launch canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddleboards, though motorized watercraft are not allowed.

The lake is also stocked with a variety of fish for catch-and-release anglers.

Wellen Park designed for wide age range

Before COVID-19, the typical age of prospective Wellen Park homeowner was 63, Severance said. Since then buyers have skewed significantly younger, with more families moving in.

A splash pad area offers a cool respite to youngsters like 3-year-old Emerson Cate, who stopped by on Feb. 22.

“I think it’s great here,” Jillian Cate said as Emerson darted through the water jets. “There hasn’t been much for young families to do and with this new addition there’s going to be a lot to do here.”

Down the path, a unique Nature Play playground offers all-ages adventures.

The Canopy Green, behind Solis Hall, features artificial turf and offers opportunities for children to unwind, especially when it's used as a showcase for Habitat Cottages that will eventually be auctioned off as part of a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity.

School of Architecture to Participate in Venice Architecture Biennale

Florida Atlantic University’s School of Architecture in the Dorothy F. Florida Atlantic University’s School of Architecture in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters has been invited to showcase two of its research areas at the sixth edition of “Time, Space, Existence,” the extensive architecture biennial on exhibition in Venice, Italy from Saturday, May 20 through Sunday, Nov. 26, in conjunction with La Biennale Architettura. “Time, Space, Existence” brings together more than 200 participants, including architects, universities, developers, engineering companies and others, who together have a crucial role in shaping the way we will live in the future.

The first FAU installation is “Salty Urbanism,” which was conceived and developed as a framework for regional adaptation to sea level rise. As South Florida begins to address the inevitable future of climate change and sea level rise, the project envisions a new framework for urban design and architecture that embeds ecosystem services and adjusts to increasingly salty landscapes. The “Salty Urbanism” framework provides communities with an Adaptation Design and Planning Tool (ADaPT) that embeds ecological processes within urban infrastructure and public space networks to develop urban design solutions that tie together architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, planning and sciences that can be replicated around the world.

“The Venice exhibition will allow the FAU team to showcase the results of the last six years of research on a global platform that will galvanize FAU as a thought leader on adaptation,” said Jeffrey Huber, associate professor in the School of Architecture. “This will build upon the project’s recognition as a model for coastal communities.”

The project was funded by two NOAA Florida Sea Grants awards and a National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grant. “Salty Urbanism” is a collaboration between FAU’s School of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Center for Environmental Studies, and Department of Civil Engineering, as well as Huber’s professional office of Brooks + Scarpa.

In 2018, “Salty Urbanism” won a national American Institute of Architects (AIA) Regional and Urban Design Institute Honor Award, which is the highest award the profession of architecture can bestow upon a project and was the first ever won by the FAU School of Architecture and the first for any School of Architecture in the state of Florida. In addition to the national award, Salty Urbanism has also won several state and local design awards.

FAU’s School of Architecture has set up a funding page to support travel and shipping for the “Salty Urbanism” exhibition in Venice. For more information, visit FAU Funder | FAU’s Salty Urbanism Goes to Venice. For more information about the program, email [email protected].

The second FAU installation, “Freeze and Clay,” is a demonstration of natural material innovations with ceramics and glass. In particular, the piece celebrates those who make, not only those who design. The installation is a collaboration between FAU School of Architecture, including Joseph Choma, Ph.D., director, and undergraduate students Daniel Lasso and Jerry Velasquez, and MuDD Architects (based in Barcelona and Paris). The design team has partnered with two international leaders in manufacturing and craftsmanship to produce modules for the sculpture. Laufen, the Swiss sanitary technology company, is producing a dozen hallow ceramic modules and TiPii Atelier, the French glass blowing company, is making 10 handmade glass modules.

“Together these exquisitely crafted modules aggregate to give the visual illusion of polyhedral geometries floating in space,” said Choma. “The overall figure and scale of the sculpture abstractly suggests the bodily posture of a person viewing art on display.”

FAU’s School of Architecture offers a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree, the shortest professionally accredited degree by the National Architectural Accrediting Board for students with no previous college degree, and allows students a clear path to licensure with the completion of this undergraduate degree. For more information about the school, visit the School of Architecture website.

Sitting right along the white sands of the Gulf Coast, Venice boasts 14 miles of pristine Florida beaches. This is the perfect sort of setting for hopping on your bike and enjoying the salty breeze as you take advantage of a picturesque day, but you want your ride to end just as nicely as it started. When Venice motorcyclists decide to seize the day with a ride, they expect to be able to return home safely and happily to ride another day.

Motorcycle Accidents In Florida

Most of the time, a motorcycle accident in Venice is a serious accident. Unlike auto accidents when one may be likely to walk away with bumps, bruises, and a few dents in the car, even low-speed accidents can prove particularly dangerous for motorcyclists. Motorcycle fatalities in Florida have doubled in the last two decades, with an average of 550 fatalities per year between the years 2016-2021.

As of 2022, Florida ranked 4th in the United States in fatal motorcycle accidents. In areas like Venice, where the location is perfect for a freeing Florida afternoon ride, motorcyclists need to be particularly careful to make sure they don’t become part of this statistic.

Common Motorcycle Accident Situations And How To Avoid Them

While motorcycle accidents don’t have a “blueprint” to follow, there are some patterns to be seen among common motorcycle accident situations. Knowing how to avoid or safely get out of these situations can be the difference between staying safe on Venice roadways or finding yourself in a dangerous situation. Some common motorcycle accident situations and how to avoid them are:

• Lane switching accidents – Lane-switching accidents are common, and they’re potentially deadly when a motorcycle is involved. Your motorcycle may be traveling in the blind spot of a vehicle, the vehicle may fail to signal, and suddenly you see the vehicle beginning to merge into your lane while you’re traveling alongside.

To avoid an accident, the first thing a motorcyclist should do is either slow down or speed up to get out of the way of the merging vehicle. In many of these instances, the vehicle may not see the motorcyclist in their blind spot, and the sound or sudden appearance of the motorcycle can be enough for the driver to stop the merge. Practicing defensive driving can help motorcyclists to stay away from potentially distracted drivers, including keeping an eye on vehicles that may swerve or drive erratically on multi-lane roadways. Distracted drivers are more likely to merge without signaling or thoroughly checking the area around their vehicle.

• Head-on collisions – Head-on collisions contribute to a number of fatal motorcycle accidents in Florida and the United States. Avoiding a head-on collision means following the 4 R’s – Read the road, keep to the right, reduce speed, and ride off the roadway. Reading the road can help motorcyclists to see potentially hazardous drivers up ahead. Keeping to the right makes it easier to get out of the way of an oncoming vehicle. Reducing speed provides more reaction time to avoid collision. As a last resort, riding off the road can help to avoid a collision without colliding with other drivers.

• Avoiding intoxicated driving accidents – Intoxicated drivers are some of the most dangerous drivers on Florida roadways. If motorcyclists on Venice roadways see drivers driving erratically, swerving, or switching speeds, they should pull over and allow the motorist to move far away from their route of travel. When spotting a suspected intoxicated driver, it’s always recommended to notify law enforcement in Venice.

Motorcyclists in Venice should be able to enjoy their rides without worrying about making it home safe. If you’ve been in a motorcycle accident in the Venice area, see how we can help at today.

FGCU-FIU box score | 2023 FGCU baseball stats | 2023 FGCU schedule

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The 19th-ranked FGCU baseball team continued its torrid offensive spree Wednesday night, hitting three home runs en route to a 12-5 victory over FIU at FIU Baseball Stadium.

FGCU improves to 18-4 this season heading into a three-game weekend series at North Alabama. Wednesday's three homers give the Eagles 43 for the season, the most in the ASUN and tied for 11th in the country. FIU falls to 12-10. Wednesday marked the 13th multi-homer game for FGCU this season, and the Eagles lead the ASUN in homers.

Sophomore outfielder Harrison Povey (Indian Rocks Beach, Fla./Largo HS), senior infielder Alejandro Figueredo (Sucre, Venezuela/West Oaks HS/Seminole State) and by junior infielder/pitcher Jacob Lojewski (West Palm Beach, Fla./Delray American Heritage HS) all went deep for FGCU – which improved to 6-3 against in-state schools.

Junior William Haberstock (Roswell, Ga./Centennial HS/North Alabama) earned the win in relief of sophomore starter Jackson Woodward (Titusville, Fla. Titusville HS Eastern Florida State College), scattering four hits over four innings and recording four strikeouts.

"We had 10 hits and they had nine, but ours were just a little bit louder," said FGCU head baseball coach Dave Tollett. "Mid-week games are tough, and those two guys really stepped up. (Redshirt freshman) Dylan Wolff did a decent job, too, in the end. These are huge wins for us, these mid-weeks against state schools."

FGCU wasted little time smacking baseballs all over FIU Baseball Stadium, as senior infielder Alejandro Figueredo (Sucre, Venezuela/West Oaks HS/Seminole State) ripped a two-run double down the left-field line, and junior infielder Edrick Felix (Orlando, Fla./Victory Charter HS/College of Central Florida) lifted a sacrifice fly for a 3-0 lead in the first inning.

FIU responded in the bottom of the first with two runs to trim the margin, but that seemed to just kick FGCU into another gear – as Lojewski and Povey each launched solo homers in the top of the second to make it 5-2.

The Panthers trimmed it to 5-3 in the fifth, but FGCU roared back again in the seventh. Senior designated hitter Joe Kinker (North Port, Fla./Venice HS) roped an RBI double to left and Rodriguez added an RBI single for a 7-3 advantage.

The eighth saw more FGCU fireworks, as redshirt senior outfielder Brian Ellis (Oviedo, Fla./Hagerty HS) doubled in another run and Figueredo cranked a three-run homer – his eighth of the season – to left for a 12-4 lead. FIU was only able to muster a run in the bottom of the ninth before Wolff shut the Panthers down for good.

Ellis went 1-for-3 and was hit by pitches twice, reaching base in his 91st consecutive game, which is 10 games shy of matching an unofficial NCAA record held by Mark Payton of Texas over the course of the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

The Eagles continue their road trip with a three-game set beginning Friday at ASUN foe North Alabama. FGCU returns home March 31-April 2 to face Jacksonville at Swanson Stadium.

COACH TOLLETT FGCU coach Dave Tollett currently owns a 689-412-3 overall record (.625) and a 230-118 (.659) record in the ASUN. He is the only head coach in the program's history and led the program to its first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2017. He is a five-time ASUN Coach of the Year and has guided the Green and Blue to five ASUN Regular Season Championships and one ASUN Tournament Championship.
