Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.

Semaglutide Treatment in Branchville, NJ

Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.

Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Branchville, NJ, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.

However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.

If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.

What is Semaglutide Treatment in Branchville, NJ?

If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.

You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide Therapy in Branchville, NJ?

There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.

A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?

If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.

Healthy Eating Tips While Taking Semaglutide

As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Branchville, NJ are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.

One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.

Eat Whole Foods

Eat Whole Foods

To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.

Be Mindful When You Eat

Be Mindful When You Eat

Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Keep Your Body Hydrated

To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.

Meal-Prepping

Use Meal Prepping to Your Advantage

Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.

Other Peptide Therapies and Medicines for Medical Weight Loss in Branchville, NJ

Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Branchville, NJ

AOD 9604 for Weight Loss

Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.

What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.

Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.

Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Damaged Cartilage
  • Arthritis

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for Weight Loss

This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.

This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.

That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.

Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Reduction in Body Fat
  • Boosted Metabolism
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Immune System
  • More

MIC Injections for Weight Loss

A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.

When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.

Phentermine for Weight Loss

Like other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.

As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.

7-Keto DHEA for Weight Loss

In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.

Much like Semaglutide treatment in Branchville, NJ, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improvement to Lean Muscle Mass
  • Boosted Thyroid Activity
  • Enhanced Memory
  • Anti-Aging Treatment
  • Better Memory

BRANCHVILLE - What do three witches gossiping over a boiling cauldron have to do with scarecrows?

Evolution, as in, decorating the front yard for what began as a "Halloween scarecrow" contest has changed into ghosts in a tree or spirits in the graveyard or a visitor from outer space, or a cap-wearing skeleton lounging in a rocking chair.

The eighth-annual Branchville Scarecrow contest is on and while it's called a scarecrow contest, originator Jeanne Heinke said judges are somewhat lenient.

"The only real rule is that at least one character must have a pumpkin for a head," she said.

She and her husband, Brad, came up with the idea, but they were a little late the year they thought of it.

So for the following year, they set down some rules; Brad came up with a basement-made frame on which a scarecrow could be built, including a spike on which to impale the "head."

The "head rule" is firm, but there are some tips gained from experience, such as: don't carve a Halloween face, smiley or not (the fruit will rot); and some kinds of dry-erase markers will wash off with the first rain.

The frames are for rent at $10 each for the length of the contest, however classroom teachers and non-profits can get frames for free.

Also there are already 35 "scarecrow" displays in the borough park, which is reserved for not-for-profit groups and businesses which don't have a space to decorate.

The park also contains a bench with a "male" scarecrow and one with a "female" scarecrow seated with their arm out, ready to have their picture taken with anyone who comes along.

Judging each year is Oct. 29, the Sunday before Halloween this year. There is also a People's Choice award with voting through Facebook at "Branchville Scarecrows."

There is also judging for those businesses and non-profits, however, Heinke said their prize is "bragging rights."

The five-member judging panel includes an artist, an art teacher, an oncologist, a county-level judge and the director of a large-scale marketplace for artists.

Entry requirements include a photo which gets posted on the Facebook page. It is that page where people can vote for People's Choice.

The Facebook page also has available a map of the village with updated locations of displays as they are entered into the contest.

Heinke said the contest idea got a great reception from merchants in the borough who contribute gift certificates. Selective Insurance, a major employer in town, participates in both a donation and a corporate "scarecrow" display near its entranceway.

Businesses and other groups in and around the borough also contributed to the prize pool with both cash and gift certificates.

Also on the Sunday before Halloween, Heinke said the volunteer fire department sponsors a community Halloween Parade.

Heinke called her husband the "backbone" of this whole operation for his work on the frames, and keeping an eye on displays.

The couple has been married for 50 years and celebrated their anniversary with their own "scarecrow" display. It was two statues, a man and a woman, dancing.

"It was titled 'Could I have this dance for the rest of my life,'" she said. "And, yes, they both had pumpkin heads."

Jersey Girl Cheese named in honor of Sussex County cows that make cave-to-table delicacies

BRANCHVILLE — Jim Cuneo readily admits his business would be impossible without the loyal residents of the dairy farm he purchased here 24 years ago.

So when he decided to expand his operation, he named it after the 38 four-legged producers of his now-coveted cheese.

"The girls in Jersey Girl Cheese are the cows," Cuneo explained during a visit to his Sussex County farm.

Cuneo teamed up with cheesemaker Sal Pisani five years ago. Now, their growing business includes a store on the 68-acre Hillcrest Orchard and Dairy, where Cuneo has lived and worked since 1999.

He was already selling his milk and cream to Pisani, who was at another Sussex County cheesemaking operation until that business closed down. Pisani, who specializes in cheese varieties from southern Italy, agreed to make a quick transition to Hillcrest.

Jersey Girl Cheese also has a retail store in downtown Rockaway. This time of year, the bulk of its sales come from five farm stands in Morristown, Denville, Sparta, West Windsor and Warwick, New York.

"That's worked really well for us," Cuneo said.

The farm store and cheesemaking facility in Branchville were built around Cuneo's existing apple orchard, which thrives in the fall. Cuneo rents 85 adjacent acres where he grows his apples.

By spring, the apple crushers and juicers are disassembled for maintenance while the focus turns to making high-quality cheeses popular with fans of farm-to-table cuisine. Or, in this case, dairy-farm-to-table.

"Everyone loves coming to the farm and the farm-to-table thing," said Susan Geuther, Jersey Girl's retail manager "We get to tell the customers 'the milk comes from the cows, and here's your cheese.' There's no in-between."

Cuneo, 59, grew up on a Denville dairy farm. He went into construction before returning to his roots, purchasing the run-down Hillcrest property and saving it from a 10-home subdivision.

He now begins his day milking the cows and delivering milk and cream directly to Pisani, who crafts his cheese in a sanitary room full of industrial equipment. Stainless steel containers and machines do everything from pasteurizing the milk and churning butter to stretching, shaping and portioning a variety of cheese products.

Into the cheese cave

The cheese is then taken to the "cave," a climate-controlled, brick-and-stone room Cuneo built into a nearby hillside. The different categories − including scamorza, burrata, ricotta, mozzarella, caciocavallo and provola calabrese − are aged in the cave from a week to more than a year until they are ready for sale.

The grotto was built "as low into the ground as possible" to help maintain a consistent climate, similar to a natural cave.

"It's all about temperature and humidity," said Pisani, 38, a Randolph resident who took up his family's cheesemaking tradition eight years ago. "Two numbers we shoot for are around 50 degrees and 70% to 75% humidity, specific to this style of cheese we are making."

Pisani is Jersey-born, but his father was born in Calabria, Italy. "My inspirations come from the family traditions my father brought over," he explains in a promotional video for the business. "We want to show people what real ricotta and mozzarella taste like."

But before the taste, the cows have to provide the essential ingredient. The herd includes both Jersey and Holstein cows in a combination that produces the ideal ratio of cream for Jersey Girl cheeses.

The business' top-seller − mozzarella − takes about six hours to make "from the morning milk," Pisani said. A 150-pound batch requires about 120 gallons.

Geuther manages the farm store at Hillcrest and handles social media after a career at Macy's, which ended two years ago during the COVID pandemic.

"I've been here ever since," she said. "I love it. It's fun in the summer and it's even crazier in the fall when apple season rolls around. You can pick apples and there are hay rides. The customers love it."

The stores sell other complementary food products, including in-house, freshly butchered meats and fresh eggs, breads and butter. Other offerings include sauces and condiments made by First Field in Princeton, jams by Holly Jolly from the Jersey Shore and delicacies imported from Italy.

Jersey Girl also sells cheese to select restaurants, including the top-rated Razza Pizza Artigianale in Jersey City, where the menu proudly mentions the source of the fresh mozzarella it spreads on its famous Jersey Margherita pizza.

[email protected]

BRANCHVILLE — Borough officials are urging residents to boil their water until further notice after a sample from the Branchville Water Department’s well resulted in a positive E. coli test Thursday.

According to a statement posted on the Branchville borough website on Friday, the water sample detected E. coli and total coliform. The latter is generally not harmful to humans, while E. coli can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, cramps, nausea and headaches.

The statement noted that the advisory is not related to COVID-19, citing a report on the virus from the World Health Organization that “based on current evidence the risk to water supplies is low.”

Branchville Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Lewis said most residents of the borough, along with some Frankford homes near the Branchville border, use water from the contaminated well.

Until further notice, residents should bring water to a boil for one minute and let it cool before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes or preparing food. Residents can also use bottled water instead of boiling water from the system.

The presence of E. coli bacteria indicates the water may contain human or animal wastes. Pathogens in wastes may pose an increased risk for infants and young children, the elderly and people with compromised immune systems.

Lewis said the borough followed all protocols put in place by the state Department of Environmental Protection in responding to the positive test. Officials notified all well users within 24 hours of the sample through a letter and the Reverse 911 system, and also announced the test on the Branchville website.

Health officials were set to conduct additional water testing Friday, Lewis said, though he was unsure of when any follow-up tests will take place.

The borough’s statement said officials “anticipate resolving the problem within 120 days.” Lewis, however, called that estimate “the worst-case scenario” and said it would likely take much less time to resolve.

The public is encouraged to check the Branchville website, www.branchville.us, for any updates on the situation. Residents can also contact Borough Clerk Kate Leissler at 973-948-4626, or visit the municipal building at 34 Wantage Avenue in Branchville.

BRANCHVILLE — A Sussex County company got some national recognition Thursday, as Fortune named Selective Insurance one of the top 40 places to work among financial service and insurance businesses for 2021.

The company headquartered in Branchville made the Great Place to Work list for the first time this year, slotting in at 38th place out of all financial service workplaces in the country. Among New Jersey businesses in the category, only the Princeton-based WithumSmith+Brown, at 34th, scored higher in the ranking.

"Today, as our workplace evolves, we and our employees continue to celebrate the diverse talent, individual identity, and different points of view that each brings to the table," said Selective President and CEO John Marchioni. "Selective is honored to be recognized as a Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance by Fortune. This honor confirms our belief that Selective is a great place for our employees to grow and apply their talents and abilities."

The 2021 list was compiled by analyzing feedback from an anonymous survey of nearly 840,000 financial service and insurance employees throughout the United States. The results placed Selective on the same list as companies in large cities like New York, Chicago, Houston and Boston.

The survey showed 91% of Selective employees identified the company as a great place to work, significantly higher than the 59% average for U.S.-based companies. Other positive factors of Selective cited by at least 93% of survey respondents include ethical and competent management, a welcoming atmosphere and a strong overall working environment.

"The culture brings a strong sense of community where we can speak what's on our minds and collaborate with all levels," read one employee's statement on the Great Place to Work website. "They really believe in us and provide opportunities to partake in projects that affect the entire company and our community."

Selective executives expressed pride at being named to the list for the first time, particularly following a difficult year for many due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"At Selective, our strong employee culture helps team members create unique insurance solutions for our customers and is as important to employee satisfaction as benefits and other workplace perks," said Cyndi Bennett, the company's chief human resources officer. “Inclusion on this list is an honor, especially after a year that has tested the strength of many organizations, and is a testament to the incredibly resilient employees that make Selective a stand-out workplace in the financial services and insurance sector."

Executives, employees and customers at Branchville-based Selective Insurance Co. of America made the holiday season a little brighter by donating more than $30,000 to charitable causes during the company's inaugural Week of Giving.

The insurer kicked off the initiative, which ran from Dec. 14-18, by providing 400 laptops to the Kids in Need Foundation. The donation to benefit under-resourced students is especially helpful in the COVID-19 age where many children are learning virtually, Selective said in a statement last week.

“The digital divide is a systemic issue in education that has been magnified as a result of the global pandemic. With varying learning environments, access to the equipment and connectivity is a necessity for students to continue their education,” said Corey Gordon, the CEO of Kids In Need, a nonprofit that provides school supplies to underserved students.

“We are grateful for Selective Insurance’s donation as 400 students will now be better prepared for remote learning as we look ahead to the second semester.”

Selective also donated $5,000 to four other organizations, for a total of $20,000 during the Week of Giving: the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, Meals on Wheels America, the American Red Cross and the Petfinder Foundation.

The insurance company also provided links to each organization for employees and agents to contribute and matched individual donations up to $500. Additionally, it pledged $5 for every post on its social media pages shared by users on the respective days.

Heroes:Meet the unsung heroes of North Jersey, quietly making our communities better for years

"Selective’s Week of Giving is designed to inspire our employees, agency partners, and customers to engage with causes and charities making a meaningful difference in our communities," said President and CEO John Marchioni. "Through our insurance coverages, we make the world a safer place – but through our charity, we can make the world a better place."

According to Katelyn Leondi, Selective's director of public relations, the community involvement added $10,000 on top of the original $20,000 in company donations, though the final amount is still being tallied.

With a decline in traditional volunteer efforts due to COVID, the Week of Giving benefits several groups when they need it most, Leondi said.

"We saw everyone – from our employees, our customers, our followers – rally behind these organizations," Leondi said. "It's a different way to still be supportive of our local communities."
