If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.

Semaglutide Treatment in Desoto Lakes, FL

Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.

Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Desoto Lakes, FL, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.

However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.

If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.

What is Semaglutide Treatment in Desoto Lakes, FL?

If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.

You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide Therapy in Desoto Lakes, FL?

There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.

A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?

If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.

Healthy Eating Tips While Taking Semaglutide

As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Desoto Lakes, FL are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.

One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.

Eat Whole Foods

Eat Whole Foods

To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.

Be Mindful When You Eat

Be Mindful When You Eat

Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Keep Your Body Hydrated

To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.

Meal-Prepping

Use Meal Prepping to Your Advantage

Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.

Other Peptide Therapies and Medicines for Medical Weight Loss in Desoto Lakes, FL

Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Desoto Lakes, FL

AOD 9604 for Weight Loss

Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.

What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.

Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.

Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Damaged Cartilage
  • Arthritis

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for Weight Loss

This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.

This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.

That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.

Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Reduction in Body Fat
  • Boosted Metabolism
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Immune System
  • More

MIC Injections for Weight Loss

A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.

When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.

Phentermine for Weight Loss

Like other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.

As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.

7-Keto DHEA for Weight Loss

In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.

Much like Semaglutide treatment in Desoto Lakes, FL, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improvement to Lean Muscle Mass
  • Boosted Thyroid Activity
  • Enhanced Memory
  • Anti-Aging Treatment
  • Better Memory

Kamarion Franklin of Lake Cormorant, ranked as the state’s number one ranked high school football player and among the top ten defensive linemen in the country, on Saturday, Aug. 19 announced he has committed to play next season at Ole Miss.

The 6-foot-5, 265 pound senior defensive end for the Gators chose the Rebels over Tennessee, Miami of Florida, Auburn, Florida State, and others.

Franklin, who has been wooed by close to 40 different schools over the past three seasons, last year set a school record with 19 sacks, collecting 93 tackles, including 22 tackles for loss. He has 150 career tackles, including 99 solo tackles and 29 sacks.

National Signing Day is Dec. 20, when Franklin can make his commitment official.

“It’s good because it’s big to stay home, put out for my state and put my state on notice that you don’t have to leave the state to be great,” Franklin said Saturday after making his announcement. “It was a very tight decision. It was very stressful.”

Nick Nester, Lake Cormorant football coach and athletic director, credited Franklin for handling all of the pressure and stress in making his decision.

“He has done a great job of taking all of this information in over the past three years, and to be honest, it was very difficult,” Nester said. “But I knew when he walked in the door today, that was the first time he knew for sure where he was going to go.”

In addition to being a Mississippi player playing for a Mississippi school, Franklin said it was important for him and his family to be close to home.

“It means a lot, it’s really important, because it wouldn’t be a hassle for my family to come see me play and if anything would go wrong I can come home,” Franklin said. “It’s an hour away so it’s good that all of my family is here.”

Nester said Franklin wanted the choice to be made ahead of the regular season starting so he can concentrate on his senior season and his graduation in December.

“For us, it’s big because it allows him to focus on what he wants to focus on and that’s helping the team be the best that we can be,” Nester said. “I know he’s happy and excited to take a break from the stress and focus on his last three months of school.”

Franklin said Auburn was his second choice, along with Miami of Florida. That was reflected in his revealing an Auburn shirt first, then taking that shirt off to reveal Ole MIss as his college choice.

Lake Cormorant opened the high school football regular season with a 14-3 victory over Lewisburg Friday night, Aug. 25 at Lake Cormorant.

Jacorby Hopson Jr. accounted for all of the Gators’ points, scoring two touchdowns and adding a two-point run to propel Lake Cormorant to victory.

However, it was Lewisburg that got on the scoreboard first, after Kody Gilmore’s interception of a pass set the Patriots up in Lake Cormorant territory in the first quarter. Gilmore caught a pass tipped in the air to stop the Gators’ first drive of the football game.

The Patriots moved the ball after the interception, but the drive stalled and Robert Becker put points on the board with a short field goal giving Lewisburg a 3-0 lead with 4:28 remaining in the first quarter of play.

Lake Cormorant and Hopson took over after that, with Hopson finishing a drive with a three-yard for a 6-3 lead at the 11:16 mark of the second quarter. The extra point try was blocked, allowing the Patriots to keep themselves within a field goal difference going into halftime.

Hopson and the Gators took control of the game in the second half, as Hopson scored from 17 yards away in the third quarter with 8:56 left for a 12-3 lead. He then went over on the two-point conversion for the 14-3 lead that became the final score.

After a day that saw the hottest temperatures of the summer, the game was played in 95 degree heat at kickoff. Officials added extra water break timeouts during the contest as a precaution.

With the victory, Lake Cormorant now heads to DeSoto Central on Friday, Sept. 1 for its next game. Lewisburg, at the same time, will play at University High in Orlando, Florida.

Here are other scores from the first Friday night for regular season football for DeSoto County public schools and the second week of the season for Northpoint Christian:

Tambre Wells is a parent of an eighth grader at Lake Cormorant Middle School who recently came to the DeSoto County Schools Board of Education concerned about the content in a book her eighth grader was reading in class.

Wells spoke to the board about “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian.” The book is a novel by Sherman Alexie, published in 2007, that relates the story of a budding cartoonist who grew up on an Indian reservation but moved from his tribal school to an all-white farm town high school where he is the only Native American, after the school mascot.

Amazon rates the book for 11-13 year olds, and said Alexie wrote the book based on his own experiences and chronicles the contemporary adolescence of a Native American boy as he attempts to break away from the life he was destined to live.

However, Wells said the book’s content made her girl uncomfortable, because as she told the board, it describes “bullying, teen drinking, shoplifting, racism, and sexual content.”

“As a parent with conservative values, I’m not alone in requesting an audit of the curriculum and library school books that are sexually explicit in nature or otherwise deemed inappropriate,” Wells said. “It’s important to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment for our children.” As an example, Wells read a portion of the book in a chapter she said was titled, “Naked Woman Plus Right Hand Equals Happy Happy Joy Joy.” The chapter talked about masturbation and the character’s enjoyment of the practice.

“If that made you uncomfortable, it made me uncomfortable,” Wells told the board. “I wanted to bring this to light.”

Supt. Cory Uselton and Board Chair Charles Barton were quick to respond, saying the matter was brought to their attention and quickly addressed.

“After it came to our attention, it was addressed within almost minutes or hours at the superintendent/board level,” Uselton said, with Barton adding, “We met within a couple of hours and it was 5-0. We all agree that’s not going to be tolerated, not for one minute.”

Uselton also said the matter is being addressed at all of the district schools.

“As far as library books, I’ve met with all of the directors who are over the primary schools, intermediate schools, middle schools and high schools,” Uselton said. “They’re going to be meeting with the principals individually to discuss this concern. I can’t even describe how disappointed we are that any student read that. That is unacceptable.”

Uselton added that any time a concern about curriculum comes to light by a parent, they need to bring it to their school principal’s attention.

Sarasota County commissioners are putting farm life under needless threat | SEIDMAN SAYS

Colleen Blumenthal says her husband, Mitch, was “a flower child wannabe” from New York when the couple bought a 10-acre former blueberry farm north of Fruitville Road and east of Interstate 75 in 1995.

Since then Blumenberry Farms — which produces 80 different kinds of organic fruits and vegetables for local businesses, restaurants and a community supported agriculture program — has been at best a break-even operation.

“We really view ourselves as a kind of community resource,” says Colleen Blumenthal, who hosts local children year around so they can “see where their food really comes from” and wander amidst the farm’s free-range chickens and ducks.

? 'Why I quit': a Sarasota teacher's story

Blumenthal adds that the farm "is not a money-making venture, but we love the mission. Anything that increases our challenges just makes it more difficult to justify continuing.”

At the moment these challenges include not only the aftereffects of Hurricane Ian which, thanks to the bordering wetlands, flooded acres of newly planted crops, but also the threat of a zoning amendment the Sarasota County Commission will vote on next week (CPA 2022-F) that would permit a light industrial “Business Park” overlay along Lorraine Road north of Fruitville Road and south of Clarke Road.

The Blumenthals fear potential water runoff and air and noise pollution from the overlay, which excludes heavy industrial use but does not rule out the possibility of “limited commercial services,” could jeopardize the farm’s organic certification. The zoning change would require a mere 50-foot greenbelt “buffer” between neighboring properties.

“The county can draw whatever line they like on a map, but Mother Nature is Mother Nature,” says Colleen Blumenthal, who worries that even with the costly additional soil and water testing they can ill afford that would likely be necessary, the farm’s organic recertification could be rejected.

This comes at a time when local and organic food production has already been under pressure from development and the economy. Mitch Blumenthal recently sold the organic distribution company he created to collaborate with other small farms – now only one other organic farm, DeSoto Lakes/Jessica’s Organics, remains in the county.

Colleen Blumenthal says she's puzzled why the county would pursue this proposal "especially now, when our local organic food supply is so fragile. It will reduce supply, increase prices and create a larger carbon footprint.”

Residents in the neighboring Lakewood Ranch developments of Waterside and Shoreview – who also access their homes from Lorraine Road – unanimously object to the overlay, which they believe would increase traffic and fundamentally change the rural nature of their surroundings.

“We moved here to get away from high-density and commercial (areas),” says Stanley Morrow, a Shoreview resident since 2019. “And we came with the expectation the area would remain residential.”

In April, the county commission adopted a “Business Park” zoning designation that could be applied to parcels of 10 acres or more that front on two sections of Lorraine Road – on the north from University Parkway to Fruitville Road and to the south from Clarke Road to State Route 681 – to “provide economic development and employment opportunities.”

After the Planning Board recommended by a 6-1 vote to deny approval and more than 20 residents voiced their opposition during public comment at an Aug. 30 meeting, the county commissioners eliminated the area north of Blue Lake Road to University Parkway but retained the 1.4-mile segment from Blue Lake Road to Fruitville Road.

On a 3-1 vote – with Nancy Detert declining and Mike Moran, this district’s representative, absent – the commission moved the amendment forward for state approval, which it subsequently received.

Commissioner Al Maio argued the overlay will spur jobs and economic activity, and he envisioned enclosed office parks with minimal impact to neighbors. But use is not limited to that tidy vision, and it could include, for example, a distribution center with 24-hour activity.

During the Aug. 30 meeting, only two people spoke in favor of the change: developer Jack Cox – who owns all but two of the parcels eligible for the designation on the northern segment – and Joe Hembree, chair of the Sarasota County Economic Development Corp., who owns a commercial real estate business that has done business with Cox.

Left unconsidered, however, was that fact that in July commissioners approved a Comprehensive Plan Amendment opening up nearly 16 miles of arterial road frontage within the county as potential “business park corridors,” including areas along Fruitville and Bee Ridge roads in the north county, Honore Road mid-county and River Road in south county.

In light of these “ample” alternatives for commercial development, the segment of the overlay that would affect Blumenberry Farms and its neighbors seems superfluous, says resident David Fink.

“Ultimately, the benefit is negligible compared to the impact on the surrounding parcels,” says Fink, who moved just outside what was then the rural boundary of the county’s 2050 plan in 2014, before Lorraine Road even existed.

Fink adds that "there is just no need to include this stretch when, within three or four miles, there are countless other locations that could fulfill the same purpose.”

The commissioners made a wise choice when they previously eliminated the overlay segment north from Blue Lake Road to University Parkway. In doing so, the commissioners recognized the need for balance and transition between commercial and residential interests.

Now the commissioners would do well to eliminate this remaining northern section as well. They would not only serve the interest of retaining a health- and community-conscious business like Blumenberry Farms – they would also promote the serenity and harmony of hundreds of homeowners over the interests of a single individual with opportunities elsewhere.
