Custom Medical Weight Loss Plans

If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.

Semaglutide Treatment in Jacksonville, NC

Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.

Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Jacksonville, NC, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.

However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.

If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.

What is Semaglutide Treatment in Jacksonville, NC?

If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.

You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide Therapy in Jacksonville, NC?

There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.

A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?

If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.

Healthy Eating Tips While Taking Semaglutide

As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Jacksonville, NC are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.

One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.

Eat Whole Foods

Eat Whole Foods

To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.

Be Mindful When You Eat

Be Mindful When You Eat

Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Keep Your Body Hydrated

To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.

Meal-Prepping

Use Meal Prepping to Your Advantage

Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.

Other Peptide Therapies and Medicines for Medical Weight Loss in Jacksonville, NC

Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Jacksonville, NC

AOD 9604 for Weight Loss

Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.

What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.

Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.

Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Damaged Cartilage
  • Arthritis

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for Weight Loss

This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.

This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.

That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.

Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Reduction in Body Fat
  • Boosted Metabolism
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Immune System
  • More

MIC Injections for Weight Loss

A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.

When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.

Phentermine for Weight Loss

Like other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.

As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.

7-Keto DHEA for Weight Loss

In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.

Much like Semaglutide treatment in Jacksonville, NC, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improvement to Lean Muscle Mass
  • Boosted Thyroid Activity
  • Enhanced Memory
  • Anti-Aging Treatment
  • Better Memory

The Grazing Tray to reopen soon in downtown Jacksonville, Dewey's Bar & Bistro to also open in same space

After temporarily closing back in February to change locations, The Grazing Tray Owner Samantha Prevatte is ready to get her doors back open, but that’s not all — she’s also partnered with friend Jennifer Morton to bring even more to downtown Jacksonville.

The Grazing Tray has relocated to 720 Court Street, but it won’t be the only business in the building. While The Grazing Tray will operate during the day, Prevatte and Morton’s new business Dewey’s Bar & Bistro will operate during the evening.

“We relocated because we were given an incredible opportunity to have more of a forever home, rather than renting, which served me really well in the 16 months that I did rent,” Prevatte said. “It was just a really good season to make the transition to have a place that I knew would be forever until The Grazing Tray didn’t exist anymore. It was just time.”

Prevatte wants fans of The Grazing Tray to know, though, that they can expect the same vibe and the same quality of food as before. The main difference? They’ll now be serving coffee.

Because Coffee Haven, which previously shared space with The Grazing Tray at 622 Court Street, made the decision to stick to their one Sneads Ferry location, Prevatte said they’ve decided to add a full coffee menu to The Grazing Tray.

They’ll also now be open on the weekends. Before, The Grazing Tray was open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Now, though, they’ll be open Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With The Grazing Tray operating during the day, the space will then transition into Dewey’s Bar & Bistro in the evening. And if the name “Dewey” sounds familiar, it’s because 720 Court Street once housed Dewey’s Restaurant in the 1940s.

Prevatte and Morton actually bought 720 Court Street from Dewey Edwards, a downtown attorney, whose father had a restaurant in the space many decades ago. Prevatte and Morton wanted to pay homage to the Dewey name, hence “Dewey’s Bar & Bistro.”

“Our goal is just to kind of have a space where you can go on dates, dress nice, but you can also come right after work and have dinner,” Prevatte said. “We’re going to have a menu that’s very boutique-style, so it’s not this large menu, but it’s all handcrafted food and drinks that we’ve been very intentional about. We’ve worked with Chef Brett Goins on building the menu.”

Goins is the executive chef for both The Grazing Tray and Dewey’s Bar & Bistro, and Prevatte said he’s become a pillar in curating menus between both establishments.

Prevatte added the focus of Dewey’s Bar & Bistro is going to be community, and they’ll even offer community seating.

She said people can come in and do a traditional sit-down dinner or visit the courtyard side. There will be TVs and the opportunity to play games, but Prevatte said the point is to allow for people to join one another at the various tables.

She said it’s really an opportunity to build relationships between people who don’t know each other.

Dewey’s Bar & Bistro will be open Sunday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 5 p.m. to around 1 a.m. The concept of two businesses in one space is not one Prevatte and Morton have really seen in Jacksonville.

“Other places do it, it’s not uncommon, it maximizes the space,” Morton said. “You know, you probably don’t want to come to a deli/cafe at 11 p.m. but you sure would like to go to a bar, so it enables us to offer both.”

Prevatte said there will be signage for both businesses, with an understanding that the space will embody The Grazing Tray during the day and Dewey’s Bar & Bistro in the evening.

Although the two women don’t yet have an opening date that they’re ready to release, they said it will be very soon. With Prevatte’s restaurant background and Morton’s building/construction background, it’s a match made in heaven.

Morton actually also owns Horizons East Building Co., and she said they’re actually in the process of remodeling a building on the corner of New Bridge Street and Warlick Street. Horizons East does mostly residential construction, but Morton said she really wants to see other building owners invest money into downtown, as the area has a lot of potential.

“I think the idea is that it would be really nice to keep people in town and not going to our neighboring cities,” Prevatte said. “It was a risk bringing The Grazing Tray down here when there were only a very few select businesses. Because at the moment, we’re a destination location, but the idea in joining forces with Jennifer over here, is that we can be a downtown where you can spend the day. When we started this conversation, it really took off.”

Prevatte and Morton have also purchased the old Roses building at 614 Court Street, and although they are not yet ready to release details, Prevatte said they’re at the drawing board with ideas and have a lot of cool concepts they’re playing around with.

She added it’s a full investment so it’s going to take some time. They were actually in the process of closing on 614 Court Street when 720 became available.

“This is just something we could get in sooner, our concepts could come to life quicker, and we could have this up and running and getting life started, feet on the pavement. Then we could focus on that,” Prevatte said. “There were entrepreneurs before us that laid the foundations of these buildings, and there’s so many people coming in and out of this town with the military, they need somewhere to go that they don’t have to drive an hour to do.

“What’s better than two women who are willing to take a risk?”

Prevatte said it’s also important to note that both herself and Morton are from the area, and to see downtown come alive is something they didn’t get to experience in their early 20s.

She said moving into this space was a huge leap of faith, but she and Morton complement each other well.

As two successful female business owners, both Prevatte and Morton want young women to know they’re capable.

“Women tend to be reserved and unsure about putting themselves out there but you’re capable,” Morton said. “You have to have the wanting and you have to figure it out, but you’ve got to know that you can.”

Morton said she’s super passionate about women in business and empowering women. Prevatte added they’ve got three women-owned businesses to their left and she thinks it’s a big deal that deserves to be celebrated.

“Risk it for the biscuit,” Prevatte said. “That’s me all day long. Especially for indigenous and African American women, odds are already stacked against them, so just going out and pounding the pavement and not stopping when there’s obstacles. Be persistent and find a way around it. Building a community of strong women, too, I think is important.”

Jacksonville residents should keep their eyes and ears open for The Grazing Tray and Dewey’s Bar & Bistro, opening soon in downtown Jacksonville.

The Daily News conducted the interview with Blackbeard's Owner Dale Overbee in December but has updated the story to reflect the restaurant's opening.

A New Bern businessman is bringing his success to Jacksonville with the opening of Blackbeard’s Triple Play Restaurant and Sports Bar.

Dale Overbee, owner of several popular New Bern businesses, told The Daily News in December that he’s been looking to expand to Jacksonville for about four years, though the last two years is when he started looking more seriously.

Overbee announced the coming of Blackbeard’s to Jacksonville on Facebook in mid-December. The restaurant and sports bar set up shop in the old Twin Peaks building, which closed last year.

Overbee said the new bypass between Jacksonville and New Bern makes it easy to travel between the two, and he thinks bringing a concept the people of New Bern have enjoyed to Jacksonville will be successful.

“Blackbeard’s is, I call it, restaurant sports entertainment,” Overbee said. “What I have in New Bern is Blackbeard’s and Pirate’s Cove and also a brewery and distillery. What I’m taking to Jacksonville is Blackbeard’s and Pirate’s Cove combined together. Pirate’s Cove is seafood and Blackbeard’s is wings and steak. Combining those two together — I have everything.”

Overbee said he hopes to bring the same feel of his New Bern locations to Jacksonville. Some of what New Bern’s Blackbeard’s has to offer includes a jazz band on Mondays, trivia on Tuesdays and karaoke on Wednesdays. He also welcomes bands on Friday nights from 7:30-11 p.m.

Because Overbee didn't have to build an entirely new business, they planned to open by the end of March. However, that was pushed back just a bit to the beginning of May. Although he’s not sure what the future holds for business in Jacksonville, he’s excited to expand to the area.

“I think Jacksonville is missing that,” Overbee said. “I know, downtown New Bern, I’ve helped them with me bringing the concept that I have. I think, in Jacksonville, it’s going to be good because a lot of people from Jacksonville come here.”

Prior to his current portfolio, Overbee previously owned the Diamond Club, which was his first nightlife entertainment venue in New Bern. He also owned Bambooz Tiki Bar, located in the Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina and Triple Play Restaurant and Sports Bar, which closed due to new highway construction on U.S. 70.

In May of last year, Overbee opened Bootleggers and Barrels in New Bern, a bar, brewery and distillery. Overbee added he even has his own vodka, which is planned to be on shelves in local Jacksonville liquor stores soon.

According to reporting from The New Bern Sun Journal, in addition to his downtown bars and restaurants, Overbee is also the owner of Triple Play Oasis Restaurant and Sports Bar, located in the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, Dale Overbee Construction and Dale’s Heating and Air Conditioning.

Blackbeard's opened Thursday and will host local band Spare Change on Friday and The BiPolar Express on Saturday.

Tropical Storm Ophelia develops off North Carolina

Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen organized and was designated Tropical Storm Ophelia on Friday, just hours before it was expected to make landfall in North Carolina with strong winds, dangerous storm surge and heavy rains.

Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen organized and was designated Tropical Storm Ophelia on Friday, just hours before it was expected to make landfall in North Carolina with strong winds, dangerous storm surge and heavy rains.

Tropical Storm Warnings covered 3 million along the East Coast on Friday. Already, gusts were nearing 50 mph along North Carolina's Outer Banks as the 15th-named storm of the season bore down on the mid-Atlantic coast. Piney Island, North Carolina, hit a gust of 47 mph at 10 a.m. ET.

WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE ON AUTO-PILOT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR INSURANCE

With weather conditions deteriorating in North Carolina, some coastal ferry routes have been suspended, according to the state ferry system.

Several airlines, including Delta, United and Southwest, have issued travel advisories, warning of potential flight delays along the East Coast. Many weekend events in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia have been canceled due to the threatening weather.

Storm Surge Warning issued for Outer Banks of North Carolina

FOX Weather's Brandy Campbell reports from Hatteras Island, North Carolina, as Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen approaches.

Where is Tropical Storm Ophelia?

The storm is 150 miles southeast of Cape Fear, North Carolina and 185 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.

Ophelia is moving north-northwest at 12 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 60 mph.

(FOX Weather)

Where are watches and warnings issued for Tropical Storm Ophelia?

Tropical Storm Warnings stretch from near Cape Fear, North Carolina, north through all of coastal North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland to southern Delaware, including Albemarle and Pamlico sounds in North Carolina and parts of Chesapeake Bay.

A Tropical Storm Warning is issued when tropical-storm-force winds (39-plus mph) are expected in the warning area within 36 hours. These winds may be accompanied by storm surge and coastal flooding.

(FOX Weather)

Coastal communities from North Carolina to the Delmarva Peninsula are either under a Storm Surge Warning or Watch. The combination of a dangerous storm surge and the tide will cause normally dry areas near the coast to be flooded by rising waters that move inland from the coast.

The highest storm surge levels are expected in eastern North Carolina, with a storm surge of 3-5 feet expected.

"We also have Storm Surge Watches because the Storm Surge Watch means that the water could be more than 3 feet above high tide," said FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross.
