If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Pine Brook, FL

Semaglutide Treatment in Pine Brook, FL

Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.

Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Pine Brook, FL, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.

However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.

If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.

What is Semaglutide Treatment in Pine Brook, FL?

If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.

You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide Therapy in Pine Brook, FL?

There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.

A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?

If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.

Healthy Eating Tips While Taking Semaglutide

As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Pine Brook, FL are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.

One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.

Eat Whole Foods

Eat Whole Foods

To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.

Be Mindful When You Eat

Be Mindful When You Eat

Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Keep Your Body Hydrated

To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.

Meal-Prepping

Use Meal Prepping to Your Advantage

Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.

Other Peptide Therapies and Medicines for Medical Weight Loss in Pine Brook, FL

Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Pine Brook, FL

AOD 9604 for Weight Loss

Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.

What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.

Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.

Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Damaged Cartilage
  • Arthritis

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for Weight Loss

This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.

This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.

That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.

Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Reduction in Body Fat
  • Boosted Metabolism
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Immune System
  • More

MIC Injections for Weight Loss

A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.

When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.

Phentermine for Weight Loss

7-Keto DHEA for Weight Loss

In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.

Much like Semaglutide treatment in Pine Brook, FL, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improvement to Lean Muscle Mass
  • Boosted Thyroid Activity
  • Enhanced Memory
  • Anti-Aging Treatment
  • Better Memory

Lipo Scuplt Cream

To the Southwest Florida community, the emotions surrounding the quickly approaching one-year anniversary of Hurricane Ian and the destruction left on our community are apparent.

Heroes have risen in this time of devastation, and they deserve recognition for their continued impact since the storm.

The Charity Pros understands the need to support our local heroes, and we want to honor the unsung heroes of our community as just that–a community. We will be hosting an incredible event at Hammond Stadium at 6 p.m. on Oct. 7. The Hurricane Heroes All-Star Concert will honor the local heroes that have helped carry Lee County through the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

The event will be headlined by Matchbox Twenty, a rock band that just came off of a 54-stop tour that sold out at major amphitheaters and arenas nationwide. Opening for Matchbox Twenty is Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles. Red Hannah will be the opening band and perform an all-star set, as well as country music star Jay Allen. Matty Jollie and Sheena Brook, a survivor of Hurricane Ian on Fort Myers Beach, will make special appearances throughout their performances in the concert. Several of these artists have a personal tie to Fort Myers Beach, which makes this event even more special.

The Charity Pros will honor several unsung heroes of Lee County at the concert.

The first honoree is Sheriff Carmine Marceno and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Marceno and the LCSO maintained law and order throughout Lee County, coordinated with outside agencies, saved lives through search and rescue missions, and led the county through the immense challenges that Hurricane Ian proposed.

Fort Myers Beach Mayor Dan Allers will also be honored for his efforts in immediately aiding the Fort Myers Beach community. He was elected just two short months after Ian hit, and he has taken on a challenge like no other in leading the redevelopment and recovery of Fort Myers Beach. After the storm destroyed his golf cart business, Mayor Allers donated the building at 820 Buttonwood Drive to house the most crucial distribution spot of essential survival supplies.

The location has become home to Fort Myers Beach Strong, a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

I first heard about the 820 Buttonwood location from Ed and Kim Ryan of Beach Talk Radio, the voice of Fort Myers Beach. These heroes made it their mission to update listeners about the dire need of beach residents continuously. Their viewership rose from 8,000 listeners to 80,000 during the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, and Beach Talk Radio broadcasted live seven nights a week in the aftermath of the storm. Ed and Kim raised more than $300,000 for residents and businesses of Lee County and hosted several significant events on the beach to benefit the struggling community.

The following heroes who will be honored are Pastors Shawn and Mallie Critser from Beach Baptist Church. From the very next day after the storm hit to now, Beach Baptist has utilized its campus as a resource for hurricane relief. From being a Central Resource Center (CRC) and a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) for FEMA to transforming into a standalone resource center, Beach Baptist has been at the forefront of the recovery process.

Beach Baptist continues to serve the community with groceries, supplies, bus passes, gift cards, and pastoral counseling. They were also a critical part of the execution of toy drives, including The Charity Pros. Please note that community church services are offered each Sunday in the resource tent. Beach Baptist is alive and well.

Last but certainly not least are Doug Miller and Amy Eldridge of FK Your Diet. Their business was founded to help local foster kids, with 5% of their revenue going toward local agencies supporting them. When Hurricane Ian struck, though, they switched their focus to helping not only foster children and families, but also anybody affected by the storm.

In the last 10 months, the couple has provided more than 500,000 meals, countless amounts of furniture, building supplies, clothing, and much more to those affected. To this day, Amy and Doug still provide meals for people who turn up at the restaurant, regardless of whether they can pay. They also deliver thousands of pounds of groceries and supplies to some of the hardest-hit areas each week. FK Your Diet distributed truckloads of hurricane supplies that The Charity Pros were transporting down from Pensacola. They also assisted in the delivery of toys to children that lost everything during The Charity Pros for Kiddos Toy Drive.

The proceeds from the Hurricane Heroes All-Star Concert will go towards Music aLIVE SWFL, the Lewis P. Tabarrini Children’s Music Outreach Foundation, scholarships for the School of Rock, and The Charity Pros “Megan’s Wish” program. The event also welcomes sponsorship packages; if you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact [email protected]. Tickets are going fast, so be sure to purchase yours at www.TheCharityPros.org

— Megan Maloney is the co-founder and president of The Charity Pros, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates and supports children’s programs focused on health, child protection, poverty, education and equality. The Charity Pros partners with community events and produces fundraisers including concerts, festivals and expos to support community causes. For more information, visit www.TheCharityPros.org.

MONTVILLE, NJ – Social media reaction was off the charts positive as the buildings at 16 Route 46 West were recently demolished. The old restaurant building and the dry cleaners located there were long abandoned and in a state of disrepair, with caved-in roofs and a general aura of decay. Now there are merely piles of debris as Caravella Demolition takes care of the job.

But why did it take so long to demolish the unsightly building? According to Township Administrator June Hercek, there were “environmental considerations and the property owner finally got their approval and began their close out process to construct on the site.” A Wawa was approved by the planning board for the site, but Hercek said no construction date is known.

Down the street from the demolition, Hercek said that administration’s understanding is that the Pine Brook Motel will also be demolished.

When World Woods opened in 1994, it marked the apex of the public golf boom of the 1980s and 90s. The 36-hole complex in west-central Florida represented a golf ideal, with two diverse, evocative and affordable golf courses completely devoid of surrounding development built by the game’s top designer on land perfectly suited to the game.

The two Tom Fazio-designed courses near Brooksville, 50 minutes north of Tampa, were gorgeous, critically acclaimed and highly accessible. Pine Barrens, densely wooded with swaths of deep bunkers gashed into the site’s native sandy base, spent several years on the Golf Digest America’s 100 Greatest Courses ranking. The more pastoral Rolling Oaks, with broader holes that trundle from high to low and back through groves of moss-draped live oaks, became a mainstay on our Best in State list. Pine Barrens even hosted a televised Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf episode with Phil Mickelson and David Toms. The only thing World Woods seemed to be missing was a suitable maintenance budget that could match the course conditions to the quality of the design. In the past 20 years in particular the turf at both courses has perennially suffered.

The future, however, looks bright again with the official announcement today that the Canada-based Cabot group has acquired the property.

The new name of the development will be Cabot Citrus Farms, and it becomes the latest addition to the company’s expanding golf and real estate portfolio that also includes Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia (home of Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links, courses ranked one and six, respectively, on Golf Digest’s Best in Canada survey) and two under-construction projects, Cabot Saint Lucia and Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia. Cabot Citrus Farms plans to begin a major, property-wide transformation this summer with the addition of a new clubhouse, cottages and villas, nature paths and a housing component. Also projected is a re-imagined practice area and a family-friendly short course in the mold of others such as The Nest at Cabot Cape Breton, The Sandbox at Sand Valley and The Cradle at Pinehurst.

More significantly, both Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks will undergo renovations, though how comprehensive they’ll be is yet to be determined.

RELATED: An inside look at the Best New and Best Renovated Courses of 2021

Ben Cowan-Dewar, Cabot founder and CEO, says he first saw World Woods about two decades ago, and over the past 10 years has been thinking seriously about the courses and ways to revive the golf.

“That land is just like an enchanted forest,” he says. “What we want to do first and foremost is to get the golf back to where it was when the place first opened.” Cabot purchased more than 1,200 acres for development, but the initial phase of the plan will be to focus attention on the roughly 500 acres that currently comprises the golf courses.

Evan Schiller

Cowan-Dewar is still mulling over who to hire to oversee the work at each course—he intends to have that decision made by the end of March. He won’t reveal who he’s considering, only that there are “a slate of people we love working with and a slate of people we’d love to work with,” and numerous architects have visited the site over the past several months and submitted their ideas.

What is clear is that there will be separate designers for each course, and that the facility will remain open for play until June before it closes for approximately 18 months while the reconstruction and additions take place. The target re-opening is December 2023.

Watch Golf Digest’s latest “Every Hole At” course videos below:

World Woods has always possessed a unique “feel” due to its rural, sleepy location atop the ancient dune ridges that give this section of the state its surprising elevation changes and deep sandy soils. Even though Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks sit side by side, their topographies and ecosystems are quite different. Pine Barrens is tightly routed and shrouded in pines with smaller-scale rolls and undulations. The Rolling Oaks parcel, much more open, tilts from a high point next to Pine Barrens 50 feet down to lower pastureland.

One scenario is to merely renovate and upgrade both courses as they are. Each are strong designs—Pine Barrens in particular possessing rhythmic energy and an intense motif of sand and isolation that was particularly captivating when it was built in the early 90s. Certain holes are slightly claustrophobic, particularly the weak 17th and 18th, and the par-3 third across a reflection pond is sorely out of place, but the land movements, the rugged caverns and standout moments like the par-4 eighth with a fishhook green perched over a swath of sand and the drivable par-4 15th with alternate fairways make the case for it to be flexed out and cleaned up rather than torn apart.

Evan Schiller

On the other hand, is there an even better course to be made from the Pine Barrens material? Such invigorating golf terrain and natural tree cover is a rare thing, and World Woods is perhaps too good a site not to turn over to the current generation of designers who have proven their ability to create masterpieces in sand. Rolling Oaks, at the least, seems primed for a major remodel, though the routing of the course might be too difficult to change much.

“As you can imagine, when you ask three different people what they would do they tell you three different things, and they’re all variations that range from modest to major proposals,” Cowan-Dewar says of the design input he’s heard. “That’s what we’re working through, to come up with a vision that really lets the land sing. Where we’ve had success in the past is when we let the land be the star, and here we have a special piece of property. Whatever we do will be about highlighting that.”

The rest of the undeveloped land, some 700 acres, is just as intriguing. Portions of it will be devoted to real estate, but there’s enough room for at least one future course as well. The palette will be similarly rich, with pine forests, live oak, sandy soils and 60-foot elevation changes. As good as World Woods has always been, there has always been the sense that there’s more potential to be tapped. There will be much to keep an eye on in the coming months at Cabot Citrus Farms.

Daily Commercial

The UF/IFAS Extension Lake County Master Gardeners have been receiving a lot of phone calls about pine trees dying in the area. I contacted both a University of Florida forestry specialist and our county forester to see why trees might be dying.

First, it is hard to tell what is damaging a tree unless an expert can inspect it or view good, diagnostic photos. Hurricane damage, pitch canker and diplodia are all common culprits behind pine tree death in Central Florida, but they are not the only known causes.

Our plant clinic recently experienced multiple calls in a 24-hour period reporting pine tree death. Knowing that disease and insect problems typically occur over time and in splotchy patterns, it led us to believe that environmental conditions are at play. Hurricane damage from Irma is just now showing on some species and may continue to show over the next year. It is common for pines to die out in late summer when a hurricane occurred the previous summer.

Pines trees are vulnerable to hurricanes because they are tall and their branches are close to the crown. The leaf canopy can act as a sail, causing the trunk to bend and twist and damaging the vascular system of the plant.

Damage to the root system occurs when hurricane-force winds push against the top of the tree. Roots smaller than a pencil in diameter can snap as the tree moves back and forth in the soil. At times, only a small percentage of a tree’s root system will be left to transport water and nutrients to the leaf canopy. They can survive throughout the next winter, spring and even summer but will be stressed. Trees may use up reserves during these seasons and can’t tolerate the daily repeated heat in late summer due to the root loss. This alone could cause impacted trees to die.

When other environmental stressors come into play, the already weak pine tree will be even more susceptible to diseases, like diplodia twig blight, and insect pests such as the ips beetle. Our current wet summer created a perfect hot and humid environment for many fungal pathogens. Root rot occurs in flooded fields or other areas of excessively wet soil. This is critical as most pines need a well-drained soil to survive.

While there may be no saving the declining pines dotting our area, future plantings can be set up for success. The best way to start a newly planted pine is from a sapling. Containerized pines, often left in the pot too long, develop deformed roots. These deformed roots never form their proper deep root structures and they, too, fall victim to disease and pests. If you must plant a containerized pine, go for the smallest one possible because smaller trees will quickly catch up to larger containerized trees. Furthermore, pines need a well-drained site in full sun. There are very few species that can tolerate flooding and wet conditions.

It is important to note that pines do not typically need fertilization. Avoid fertilizing these native trees, even with fertilizer applied to surrounding turf. Excessive nitrogen can exacerbate fungal diseases like diplodia tip blight. If a pine is nutrient-deficient in an urban setting, it is probably due to a soil pH problem and another tree species would be a better fit.

For help selecting native trees, attend Step-By-Step to a Florida Native Yard from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 22 at the Lake County Extension Center, 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares. The Florida Native Plant Society, Lake Beautyberry Chapter, is offering a class on changing your traditional landscape to a native yard. Garden author, Ginny Stibolt, will teach the workshop and host a book signing, including her new Climate-wise Gardening book.

A native plant sale will follow, featuring plants from Green Isle Gardens from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Admission for FNPS members is $10, non-members $20. Register on Eventbrite. Search Ginny Stibolt Workshop Step-By-Step.
