Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. From an aesthetic standpoint, being overweight is a struggle - clothes don't fit right, people make uncomfortable comments about how you look, and everyday activities are less appealing.
From a health and wellness standpoint, however, being obese is much worse. Your life is literally on the line. The people who love you and depend on you to be in their lives could lose you sooner than you expect. With time, you have a higher chance of suffering from significant, life-changing issues such as:
While obesity is a serious problem, a new medication on the market is giving hope to millions of men and women across the U.S. This game-changing treatment is called Semaglutide in Pinehurst, NC. This anti-obesity medication is unique because it treats obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, rather than a problem that can be solved through sheer willpower. The best part? Semaglutide and other medical weight-loss peptides are now available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
At Global Life Rejuvenation, we understand that losing weight is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our medical weight loss clinic offers custom medical weight loss plans tailored to your body, rather than plans based solely on your age or weight. In fact, our team of doctors and practitioners provides personalized guidance to help you achieve real results and live a healthier life.
Because the truth is maintaining good health and fitness are crucial in the modern world. Research has shown that viruses and diseases are more likely to affect those who are overweight and unhealthy. At Global Life Rejuvenation, we take a comprehensive, custom approach to medical weight loss that includes peptide therapy and more. We then work with you to make positive lifestyle changes, so you can lose weight, get healthy, and boost your wellbeing permanently - not for a few weeks or months.
If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.
Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.
Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Pinehurst, NC, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.
However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.
If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.
If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.
You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."
Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.
When combined with healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, Semaglutide can help provide:
There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.
A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.
It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?
If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.
As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Pinehurst, NC are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.
One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.
To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.
Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.
To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.
Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.
Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.
What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.
Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.
Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:
This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.
This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.
That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.
Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:
A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.
When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.
Request AppointmentLike other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.
As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.
Request AppointmentIn the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.
Much like Semaglutide treatment in Pinehurst, NC, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:
Have you tried everything under the sun to try and eliminate the cellulite on your legs, arms, and other areas of your body? If you're like most people, getting rid of cellulite isn't just difficult - it's nearly impossible. Fortunately, those days are over. Lipo Sculpt Cream from Global Life Rejuvenation can help reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite while also refining your figure and firming up your skin.
The active ingredients in this product have the ability to reduce and prevent the growth of fatty tissue while also improving microcirculation. They work together to treat both adipose and aqueous cellulite, and aid in the elimination of fatty deposits and excess water stored in the tissues. This results in a reduction of dimples and an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin.
If you have experienced success with a medical weight loss plan and reached your target weight but still suffer from cellulite, Lipo Sculpt Cream is a fantastic choice to consider. A few of the most common benefits include:

PINEHURST, N.C. (WNCN) — A handful of members at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst have a rich history of Scottish ancestry.
That connection led a few of them to strike up a friendship with members of the Royal Dornoch Golf Club and through that friendship, a yearly golf event was born.
“We’ve gotten to know each other over a long period of time it’s like seeing old friends and it’s so much fun,” said CCNC Captain Ralph Ronalter.
The three-day event is similar to a Ryder Cup match only much more friendly. The teams play singles, foursomes, and four-balls with the home squad usually standing tall at the end of the competition.
“I don’t think we’ve ever managed to win it away from home,” said Royal Dornoch member Struan Robertson. “We’ve managed to retain it in Dornoch on a few occasions. If memory serves me there was one occasion when CCNC actually won it in Dornoch to their credit. But the style of golf we get here is completely different from links golf that we play back in Scotland.”
So what is the American’s excuse for not doing well when the event is held in Scotland?
“I think it has to do with the whisky,” said Ronalter.
That can certainly be a problem.
“The most competitive bit is who’s still standing in the bar after the games,” said Hamish Macrae. “Apart from that, it is very competitive.”
And everyone, it seems, wants to join in on the fun. And while some of the original members of the event are getting up there in age, don’t think for a minute the competition is about to come to an end.
“Yes, we set an age limit on it to get guys like me out at some point.” Said Ronalter. “The young guys all want to come in and play and they (Royal Dornoch) have young guys coming onto their team so yeah, we’ll keep it going as long as we can.”
But for now, those who were instrumental in getting the competition going in the first place, don’t seem to want to give it up just yet. There’s still more stories left to be told.
“Yes the whole thing is social golf and making friendships and maintaining them with our friends from across the pond,” said Macrae.

Pinehurst voters made a strong statement for neighborhood protection from short-term rentals and excessive growth with resounding victories Tuesday night for Pat Pizzella as the new village mayor and John Taylor and Barb Ficklin for the Village Council.
Pizzella captured 2,477 votes for mayor compared to fellow Council member Jeff Morgan’s 1,892 and 765 votes for former Council member Kevin Drum.
Pizzella is no stranger to government policy. Initially working for the Reagan administration, Pizzella has held positions at the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. General Services Administration, the Federal Labor Relations Authority and currently sits on the Pinehurst Village Council where he serves as mayor pro tem.
Pizzella began traveling to Pinehurst in the 1990s for regular golf trips before becoming a homeowner in 2012. At the Pinehurst candidate forum, Pizzella said, “I believe Pinehurst has a bright future to even exceed its storied past, and I believe I have the knowledge, skills and ability to guide the government for the next four years.”
With 18,000 residents, Pizzella sees the mayoral position as more of a full-time role and not merely a part-time job. Pizzella said his leadership style is to “lead, follow or get out of the way…There will be situations that require leadership, situations that require following, and there’ll be times that I need to get out of the way.”
While on the village council, Pizzella was pivotal in establishing the short-term rental ordinance, allowing existing rentals to continue operating, and establishing a non-conforming use certificate for rental owners who wish to secure one.
After hearing that he would be the next mayor of Pinehurst, Pizzella said, “I’m humbled, I’m happy and I’m exhausted.”
Pizzella said that he needed a “good night’s sleep” before getting into the business of representing Pinehurst.
In the Village Council election, political newcomers John Taylor and Barb Ficklin emerged as the top two vote-getters. Taylor received 2,727 votes to Ficklin’s 2,412. In comparison, prior village council member Claire Berggren received 2,161 votes, incumbent Lydia Boesch 2,124 votes, and Cara Mathis, who officially resigned her candidacy last month but was too late to have her name pulled from the ballot, received 336 votes.
Taylor may be preparing to serve in his first elected position in Pinehurst, but he is undoubtedly a veteran of managing high-stakes organizations. A graduate of Brown University, Taylor has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Taylor has been a Pinehurst property owner since 1993 and a full-time resident for 11 years. Most recently, Taylor has spent the last six years on the Historic Preservation Commission.
Taylor looks forward to serving on the council and said in a previous interview, “I think financial expertise will be helpful, and obviously, that bleeds over into budgeting and tax policy, and not just thinking about the next year, but what do we need in the next five years.”
Taylor draws his perspective on future village growth from the 2019 Comprehensive Plan. “We have to be careful if we are to stay true to this stated principle…people who come here to live, not just to play golf…it’s because it’s unique, it’s because of the feel of this place. If they wanted to live in Charlotte or Kiawah Island or Palm Beach, they would.”
On election night, Taylor said, “Having put in the time and effort, it is very gratifying to come in first, and I look forward to representing Pinehurst.”
Taylor attributed his ideas on the future of Pinehurst as the lynchpin of his election. “I was approached late in the process; I had no staff at all…The people have spoken, and obviously, the things I have said have resonated, and now it is time to follow up on those things.”
Ficklin and her husband retired from the corporate world to the Clarendon Gardens neighborhood in 2004, and while they were initially drawn to the golf and tennis retirement route, they quickly decided to refocus their efforts on service.
Before Covid, Ficklin spent 12 years running the Bethesda Presbyterian Church food pantry, serving 125 families weekly.
Short-term rentals put a run for village council on Ficklin’s radar. Ficklin wants to see ordinances enforced. “It would be fine with me if we could just enforce what we’ve got, and that’s not really happening.”
First and foremost, on Ficklin’s docket is maintaining the spirit of Pinehurst.
“It means protecting the neighborhoods by ensuring that the current zoning laws are enforced and making sure that we don’t have additional commercial enterprises seeping into our single-family residential neighborhoods.”
Ficklin said of the results, “I think that number one I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to represent the residents of Pinehurst…They have made their preferences known.
Ficklin said she plans to promote the enforcement of village ordinances, particularly the short-term rental ordinance.
All election results will not be official for 10 days.

Pinehurst No. 2 has once again secured the top spot as the best golf course in the state as determined by the North Carolina Golf Panel.
The results are published in the April issue of Business North Carolina magazine, which is owned by The Pilot.
The Dogwood Course at The Country Club of North Carolina and Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club flipped the third and fourth positions. Southern Pines Golf Club moved up 13 spots to the 75th ranked course in the state as the recently renovated design by Kyle Franz continues to garner votes from panelists. Sixteen courses from the Sandhills area are listed in the Top 100 rankings with the lowest being Talamore Golf Club at No. 77.
The North Carolina Golf Panel was founded in 1995 and is recognized as the most authoritative statewide source of golf course rankings in a state that arguably boasts some of the nation’s best courses.
The 185-member panel is composed of golf media, club professionals and general managers from many outstanding courses, accomplished amateur players and college golf coaches, and others who play an active role in promoting golf in North Carolina.
“North Carolina has some of the best golf courses in the country and the epicenter is right here in the Pinehurst area,” said Phil Werz, president and CEO for the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Golf is a major driver of our economy in Moore County and the demand for our product is higher than ever. This once again validates that we are the Home of American golf.”
Among the 2023 rankings of the Top 100 Courses in North Carolina, a total of 16 are located in the Pinehurst Area. Those rankings include:
The panel also ranked the Top 50 Courses You Can Play and the Pinehurst area once again dominated the list with 14 locations, or nearly 30 percent of the clubs, including the top seven and eight of the top 11.
The top seven include Pinehurst No. 2, Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, Pinehurst No. 4, Pinehurst No. 8, Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club, Pinehurst No. 9 and Mid South Club. Pinehurst No. 7 is eleventh.
Other golf clubs among the Top 50 include Southern Pines Golf Club (#20); Talamore Golf Club (#21); Pinehurst No. 6 (#32); Tobacco Road Golf Club (#38); Legacy Golf Links (#40) and Longleaf Golf and Family Club (#41).
“The specialness of the Sandhills as the premier golf destination in perhaps the world, is reflected every year in our rankings. What sometimes get lost is how many outstanding course designers, following in the footsteps of Donald Ross, have worked in the region,” said Kevin Brafford, executive director of the N.C. Golf Panel. “Tom Fazio, Rees Jones, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus all have original designs. Then came the work of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw on Pinehurst No. 2, followed by Gil Hanse with No. 4. Tom Doak will be the next to leave his mark when the tenth course opens next year.”
Pinehurst area golf courses are no strangers to the national and global stage as well when it comes to major championships. The U.S. Open will be back at Pinehurst No. 2 in 2024, marking the fourth such major championship to be played at the iconic club over the course of 25 years (1999, 2005, 2014 and 2024), the most to be played over the course of a quarter century than any other location in the country.
Pinehurst No. 2 will host additional U.S. Open championships in 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047. In 2029, Pinehurst No. 2 will once again host back-to-back men’s and women’s U.S. Open championships, a repeat of the only course in America to host that tandem of historic events in 2014.

(VILLAGE OF PINEHURST, N.C.) – Pinehurst Resort will break ground on its first new golf course in nearly three decades this month, and it will be designed by Tom Doak, one of the most respected and decorated golf course architects of the modern era.
Located four miles south of the main resort clubhouse, Doak’s 18-hole routing is expected to open late spring of 2024, coinciding with the return of the U.S. Open to Pinehurst No. 2. The new course – the resort’s 10th – will incorporate rugged dunes mined at the turn of the 20th century accented by native sand and wiregrass. With natural ridgelines, intriguing landforms, towering longleaf pines, streams and ponds, Doak envisions a course that complements the resort’s other courses through its contrasts.
“The site is topographically distinct and drastically different from anywhere in Pinehurst,” Doak says. “It’s bigger, bolder and more dramatic. There’s about 75 feet of elevation change, and we’ll work our way up to it around the mid-point of the layout. You’ll have expansive views from this apex over the rest of the course. It will be an unforgettable experience for golfers.”
Doak recalls first visiting Pinehurst more than 40 years ago and playing and touring No. 2. He rated the storied Donald Ross design a perfect “10” in his famed book “The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses,” and was one of the most vocal supporters of its restoration by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 2010 prior to the 2014 U.S. Open.
“Tom Doak builds incredible golf courses on sand, and we’re excited to see what he’ll create in the North Carolina Sandhills,” says Pinehurst Resort President Tom Pashley. “We’ve worked with some amazing golf architects who’ve embraced our natural aesthetic and believe Tom will do something fantastic on this site.”
Landscape architect Angela Moser will serve as Doak’s lead design associate for this project. Moser’s impressive credentials include work at the Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course, Streamsong Black in Bowling Green, Fla., St. Patrick’s Links in County Donegal, Ireland, Te Arai Links in Tomarata, New Zealand and Ohoopee Match Club in Cobbtown, Ga.
“The number one thing that excited us about the project is working with the beautiful sand that’s native to this region,” Doak says. “The sand, the wiregrass, the bluestem grass, and other native grasses that grow around the Sandhills create a fabulous texture for golf. It’s something most places just don’t have.”
In addition to Doak’s routing, Pinehurst envisions the potential for more growth in the area, which encompasses 900 total acres in Aberdeen. A variety of development opportunities will be evaluated with town officials, including additional golf, short course, clubhouse, guest cottages and other lodging.
“This exceptional property is a place where many of our dreams of the future can be contemplated,” says Pinehurst Resort CEO Bob Dedman Jr. “How those dreams play out will be determined over time, the same way the path forward revealed itself through recent additions like The Cradle, Thistle Dhu and the redesign of Pinehurst No. 4. Adding a Tom Doak design to our collection is another historic chapter in the story of Pinehurst. We can’t wait to read it.”

Moore County is attracting yet another big-box retailer as the Sandhills rides a wave of development.
A Pinehurst-based LLC, West End Development Group, is seeking to rezone roughly 6 acres at the intersection of N.C. highways 211 and 73 to clear the way for a new Tractor Supply Co. (Nasdaq: TSCO) store, according to documents submitted to the Moore County Board of Commissioners.
The land, located in the unincorporated area of West End about 10 minutes west of Pinehurst, consists of four parcels, with one zoned for commercial use and the other three zoned for residential agricultural. West End Development Group is seeking for all parcels to be zoned for commercial use.
Tractor Supply spokeswoman Tricia Glenn told Triangle Business Journal the new store will have 15 employees, with at least half of them being full-time. Glenn declined to provide estimates for when construction will begin and when the company hopes to open the store.
West End Development Group's managers include a David A. Long of Arizona and Thomas Gavin Melia, according to filings with the North Carolina Secretary of State's office.
According to the documents submitted to the Board of Commissioners, the proposed store will be newly constructed and stand at 22,321 square feet.
"This new location is part of Tractor Supply's larger growth strategy," Glenn said. The Tennessee-based company plans to open 3,000 stores nationwide as it continues to grow in popularity with consumers — net sales in the second quarter rose 7.2 percent year-over-year to $4.2 billion, per the company's most recent quarterly earnings report.
The company currently has 2,200 stores, including roughly 100 in North Carolina and one in Moore County located at 5601 U.S. Highway 1 north of Southern Pines. That location is located roughly 15 miles east of the new proposed location.
Tractor Supply isn't the only big-box retailer looking to capitalize on Moore County's steady population growth. The county's population increased from 88,247 in 2010 to 105,531 in 2022, according to US Census Bureau estimates.
Target (NYSE: TGT) is planning to build a 148,000-square-foot store at the Morganton Park South development at the intersection of Partner Circle and U.S. Highway 15-501 in Southern Pines. It will be the first Target store in Moore County. And BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ) is also potentially eyeing a 101,840-square-foot space in the development.
