Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. From an aesthetic standpoint, being overweight is a struggle - clothes don't fit right, people make uncomfortable comments about how you look, and everyday activities are less appealing.

If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.

Semaglutide Treatment in Royal Palm Beach, FL

Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.

Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Royal Palm Beach, FL, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.

However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.

If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.

What is Semaglutide Treatment in Royal Palm Beach, FL?

If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.

You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."

Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.

Who Should Consider Semaglutide Therapy in Royal Palm Beach, FL?

There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.

A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.

It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?

If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.

Healthy Eating Tips While Taking Semaglutide

As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Royal Palm Beach, FL are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.

One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.

Eat Whole Foods

Eat Whole Foods

To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.

Be Mindful When You Eat

Be Mindful When You Eat

Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Keep Your Body Hydrated

To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.

Meal-Prepping

Use Meal Prepping to Your Advantage

Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.

Other Peptide Therapies and Medicines for Medical Weight Loss in Royal Palm Beach, FL

Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.

Semiglutide Weight Loss Royal Palm Beach, FL

AOD 9604 for Weight Loss

Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.

What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.

Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.

Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Damaged Cartilage
  • Arthritis

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for Weight Loss

This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.

This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.

That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.

Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Reduction in Body Fat
  • Boosted Metabolism
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Immune System
  • More

MIC Injections for Weight Loss

A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.

When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.

Phentermine for Weight Loss

Like other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.

As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.

7-Keto DHEA for Weight Loss

In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.

Much like Semaglutide treatment in Royal Palm Beach, FL, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improvement to Lean Muscle Mass
  • Boosted Thyroid Activity
  • Enhanced Memory
  • Anti-Aging Treatment
  • Better Memory

This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with David, 58, who is moving to Savannah, Georgia, next year after almost 40 years living in West Palm Beach, Florida. He asked to be identified by his first name for privacy reasons, but Insider has verified his identity. The conversation was edited for length and clarity.

I am from a small Midwestern town outside of Chicago, and as a child, I dreamed of moving to Florida. My grandparents were snowbirds. We would drive down to see them, and West Palm Beach's mystique drew me in.

When I graduated college, I was like, "Why not start my adult life there?" I loaded up the car, and I arrived in West Palm Beach on Halloween of 1987. At the time, maybe 80,000 people lived in West Palm, and many knew each other.

But since the pandemic, there has been a cultural and financial shift in Florida.

I am 58 now. I started thinking, "As I get older, do I really want to be here?" I didn't see the bright side of staying, so my husband and I sold our house at a massive profit and bought one in Savannah, Georgia.

I spent nearly 40 years in West Palm Beach

When I first came to West Palm Beach, I moved into a great little area I fell in love with. I lived in a condo for two years, and then I bought a property for $150,000 back in 1989 or 1990.

It was great property on a huge lot. During the Great Recession, I took a risk and planned to add onto it.

My brother-in-law, who is a contractor, told me, "You're going to get great prices for everything because we're in the middle of a housing crisis. Everything from concrete to your roof to appliances — we're going to be able to get it at a reasonable price and quickly." We got a $700,000 construction loan, and it worked out well.

In this neighborhood, everyone knew each other. We were tight-knit and neighborly. Many of us would walk dogs, stop on the sidewalk, and chitchat. We used to do a Secret Santa gifting where at 3 a.m. on Christmas morning, we'd leave wine on 30 of our neighbors' front porches.

Newcomers with Rolls-Royces and Maseratis flooded in

During the pandemic, the neighborhood changed dramatically.

The number of people who were moving down and spending crazy amounts of money was insane. Their attitudes were so different from what everybody was used to; they were demanding people not familiar with the kind of calm lifestyle we were living. The population doubled with people different from others in our neighborhood.

Many of the people who moved in were in finance, and many already had family money. T??hey were just throwing money out there like it wasno big deal. Like, "Oh, I sold my apartment in New York for $4 million and I bought this for $2 million."

Rolls-Royces, Range Rovers, and Maseratis took over the area without regard for the rules of the road.

We used to walk with our neighbors, their kids, and our dogs. Then suddenly, these cars were speeding through the neighborhood. It would be a short block and the speed limit would clearly be 25 mph, and they would get up to about 60 mph. They're whipping around these curbs and we're like, "What the hell is going on?"

Some people would put an orange cone in the middle of the road to stop this behavior. People became more hesitant to hang out on walks. There was a lot of disrespect for the community in that way — I hear from our friends in the neighborhood that it still goes on and that it's gotten worse.

New residents have added privacy hedges and fences to stay in their bubbles — they started creating cocoons. They started building walls and didn't engage with anybody in the neighborhood. I'm not saying it's good or bad, but it's just so different from what it was.

Home-insurance premiums and property taxes skyrocketed

Homeowners' insurance really started climbing when the Surfside condo building partially collapsed in 2021.

In 2019, I paid about $7,000 per year in homeowners' insurance. The woman who bought my house paid about $22,000 this year. Insurance goes up by between about 30% and 40% per year, and there's nothing you can do about it.

The person who bought my house also pays about $40,000 in property taxes per year. Because of Florida's homestead exemption, which caps the amount an existing homeowner's property taxes can increase per year by 5%, I only paid about $15,000 — still a huge sum of money.

I started thinking about retirement. How was I going to pay these skyrocketing prices on a fixed income? You'll talk to many retirees who are like, "I have to leave because I'm on a fixed income, and I can't afford these property taxes."

I sold my Florida house for much more than I paid — and bought a cheaper one in Georgia

Ultimately, we sold the house in 2022 for $2.6 million, and walked away with about $1.8 million in profit.

Since then, we've been living in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where we rent a condo for $6,000 a month.

My husband and I bought a house in Savannah, Georgia, for about $683,000. We just closed on it last week, and we plan to move there in March.

Savannah felt right. The islands of Savannah reminded us of the old Florida. The home we purchased on Wilmington Island would be triple the cost in our former neighborhood, yet it feels like Florida without the crowds and still retains the smell of the ocean.

The Cipriani family is bringing another real estate development to South Florida.

Following the success of the sold-out Mr. C Residences in Coconut Grove, brothers Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani have unveiled what will be West Palm Beach’s first-ever hotel-branded residences. The two have joined forces with Terra and Arquitectonica to build the 25-story Mr. C-branded condominium at 320 Lakeview Ave., which will include a 110-room hotel and 146 private residences priced at $2 million and up. The brothers enlisted Landscape Design Workshop to do up the grounds and Meyer Davis to curate the interiors and amenity spaces.

“Mr. C represents a modern interpretation of old-world sensibilities, and my brother and I are very proud to add this exciting new location to our expanding brand,” said Ignazio in a press statement. “We are happy to align our vision once again with Terra, whose partnership and professionalism we value very much, and add a new relationship with Sympatico, whose reputation is well known in the South Florida market.”

Residences at the swanky new tower will include one- to four-bedroom units ranging from 830 to 2,200 square feet. And depending on the floor, part-time residents and investors looking to defray expenses will have the opportunity to enter their home in the hotel’s rental program.

The property will also feature tons of amenities like a fitness center and spa, a yoga studio, a co-working lounge, a dog run, and a bocce court. There will also be a resort-style pool deck with cabanas, a children’s playground, and a barbecue area. Elsewhere, hotel guests will get to enjoy a Bellini café and restaurant, a library, plus a rooftop pool and jacuzzi.

“Downtown West Palm Beach is emerging as one of South Florida’s most exciting, fastest-growing neighborhoods,” added David Martin, CEO of Terra. “We’ve had strong sales at our Mr. C Residences project in Coconut Grove, and we’re excited to be partnering once again with Ignazio and Maggio for our firm’s first development in West Palm Beach.”

The Ciprianis currently operate a Mr. C hotel in Miami, Beverly Hills, and New York City and have recently expanded their residential portfolio to include Dubai. Construction on the West Palm Beach project is expected to get underway early next year and is slated for completion in 2026. Douglas Elliman will lead the sales, which are anticipated to launch in November.

Palm Beach Post

Plans to create a University of Florida grad school campus in the heart of West Palm Beach have fallen apart. That's a deep disappointment for those who looked to bolster the city's growing corporate presence and enhance downtown life. But the fact that such a complex proposal could come so close to reality should awaken the community to its own potential and encourage all to pursue other innovative projects to shape the city's future.

From the start, planning for the Global Technology and Innovation Campus, on a 12-acre site between Tamarind and Sapodilla avenues, was like building a machine with many moving parts. It required coordination and cooperation of the county, city and other property owners, not to mention of the UF bureaucracy and the Florida Legislature. Unfortunately, the adage about the more moving parts a machine has, the more likely something will break down, proved all too true.

More:Much-touted UF campus plan for downtown West Palm Beach dies, leaving huge disappointment

Did plans break down over land donor Jeff Greene's insistence on campus naming rights he'd been promised, or on requiring performance criteria of UF? Or was that dispute a sign of backroom rivalry among philanthropists who wanted their names above the door, too? Did UF just use all that as a convenient excuse to back out, as cover for its internal lack of resolve to get a deal done? Or, was it just sensible management by a brand-new university president to reevaluate such a sizeable undertaking's long-term prospects before moving forward? If it's the latter, we hope he'll reconsider.

Whatever the reason, it's lamentable that the decision to back out came after so much effort by this community on UF's behalf. Countless hours went into it, for approvals, discussions, negotiations, including a year-and-a-half of meetings in which enthusiastic local business leaders helped the university mold its future curriculum, hoping the highly ranked Gainesville-based school's presence in Palm Beach County would help build an infrastructure of intellect here from which all could draw.

More:Scripps, University of Florida seal the deal on purchase of Jupiter campus. Here's its new name.

Such lamentations don't help, though. The most productive strategy for city and county leaders now is to focus on what we want West Palm Beach to be and to fine-tune the internal mechanisms to bring that about. The effort won't have gone to waste if local leaders can learn from it and prepare to move faster and more effectively toward the next great thing.

One thing that should be clear is the combined sites' wonderful suitability for an innovative combination of high-level academic, corporate and residential uses. It's within walking distance from the planned transit hub, courts and government offices, the Brightline Station and The Square and Clematis Street entertainment areas, not to mention the city's waterfront, and a skip across the bridge to the billionaires' bastion of Palm Beach proper. And it sits atop a coastal ridge that would afford a project commanding views for miles around.

But the real estate won't sell itself if the conditions aren't right. That means the community must be ready to move quickly when external conditions are strong, as the economy is now, and when office and other commercial real estate users nationwide are looking for innovative ways to adapt to the impact of remote work trends. Internally, sometimes-lumbering government agencies will need to expedite decision-making, and landowners and developers will have to learn to be team players.

We're not saying that West Palm Beach and county officials didn't work hard to bring the UF deal to fruition, or that Jeff Greene wasn't right to seek guarantees his donated land would be used for its intended purpose. But whatever was done to overcome the university's reservations and sustain its early enthusiasm, it clearly wasn't enough.

Palm Beach County and its capital city have been on the upswing, though, as years of efforts by the Business Development Board, municipal leaders and real estate developers to attract financial and other companies downtown have been paying off. The BDB's longtime president and CEO, Kelly Smallridge, is on target in encouraging this mid-sized city to think world class, to seek out the best companies and brightest minds. "We have a rare opportunity," she says, and she's right.

We have a lot to offer. We just need to work together.

Videos posted on the Ring Doorbell Neighbors app show what appears to be someone dumping their dog in a parking lot and driving off.

The post said Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control came and picked the dog up, CBS12's Katie Bente reports. (WPEC)

It happened in the Royal Palm Beach area near Calypso Bay Waterpark.

Video shows the dog running after the car, with the caption reading in part, “Clearly they knew they were doing something wrong because they backed into a spot once they saw me recording.”

But a second video shows the car eventually driving off and the animal’s reaction is heartbreaking.

The original post now has nearly 2,000 views. But the videos are quickly making their way around the community, with multiple neighbors now reposting the upsetting content on other platforms like the Nextdoor app.

Many shared their reactions in the comment section, calling the incident disgusting, horrible, and heartbreaking.

The post said Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control came and picked the dog up. While no one there was able to comment on the investigation, the shelter’s assistant director David Walesky said there are countless options locally for those who do need to surrender a pet.

“Yeah, most of the dogs that we have right now actually go to rescue groups. We’re very thankful that we have a very active rescue community. They’re able to take a lot of animals from us, and then they're a lot of times better suited to match someone with that animal. You know, they have time to learn that animal special needs special things that it desires and then match it up. With somebody that's the right fit for that animal,” Walesky said.

Not all animals coming into the shelter end up getting adopted. There is a chance they could be euthanized.

But that doesn’t mean dumping a pet is the better choice. In Florida, it’s considered animal cruelty to abandon a pet, and is punishable by up to a year in prison, a maximum of a $5,000 fine, or both.

If you feel like you have no other choice but to surrender your pet, Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control takes them by appointment only.
