Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. From an aesthetic standpoint, being overweight is a struggle - clothes don't fit right, people make uncomfortable comments about how you look, and everyday activities are less appealing.
From a health and wellness standpoint, however, being obese is much worse. Your life is literally on the line. The people who love you and depend on you to be in their lives could lose you sooner than you expect. With time, you have a higher chance of suffering from significant, life-changing issues such as:
While obesity is a serious problem, a new medication on the market is giving hope to millions of men and women across the U.S. This game-changing treatment is called Semaglutide in Soho, NY. This anti-obesity medication is unique because it treats obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, rather than a problem that can be solved through sheer willpower. The best part? Semaglutide and other medical weight-loss peptides are now available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
At Global Life Rejuvenation, we understand that losing weight is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our medical weight loss clinic offers custom medical weight loss plans tailored to your body, rather than plans based solely on your age or weight. In fact, our team of doctors and practitioners provides personalized guidance to help you achieve real results and live a healthier life.
Because the truth is maintaining good health and fitness are crucial in the modern world. Research has shown that viruses and diseases are more likely to affect those who are overweight and unhealthy. At Global Life Rejuvenation, we take a comprehensive, custom approach to medical weight loss that includes peptide therapy and more. We then work with you to make positive lifestyle changes, so you can lose weight, get healthy, and boost your wellbeing permanently - not for a few weeks or months.
If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.
Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.
Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Soho, NY, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.
However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.
If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.
If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.
You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."
Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.
When combined with healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, Semaglutide can help provide:
There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.
A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.
It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?
If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.
As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Soho, NY are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.
One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.
To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.
Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.
To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.
Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.
Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.
What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.
Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.
Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:
This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.
This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.
That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.
Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:
A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.
When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.Request Appointment
Like other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.
As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.Request Appointment
In the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.
Much like Semaglutide treatment in Soho, NY, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:
Have you tried everything under the sun to try and eliminate the cellulite on your legs, arms, and other areas of your body? If you're like most people, getting rid of cellulite isn't just difficult - it's nearly impossible. Fortunately, those days are over. Lipo Sculpt Cream from Global Life Rejuvenation can help reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite while also refining your figure and firming up your skin.
The active ingredients in this product have the ability to reduce and prevent the growth of fatty tissue while also improving microcirculation. They work together to treat both adipose and aqueous cellulite, and aid in the elimination of fatty deposits and excess water stored in the tissues. This results in a reduction of dimples and an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin.
If you have experienced success with a medical weight loss plan and reached your target weight but still suffer from cellulite, Lipo Sculpt Cream is a fantastic choice to consider. A few of the most common benefits include:

New York City sneakerheads, rejoice! A new shopping destination is coming to town, courtesy of APL (Athletic Propulsion Labs)—the cult sneaker brand who counts stars like the Kardashians as fans. On November 9th, the footwear label will open its first New York store in the trendy SoHo district, marking its second flagship location worldwide (the first being at The Grove in L.A., where the brand is headquartered).
Launched in 2009, APL founders Ryan and Adam Goldston revolutionized the sneaker market with their assortment of “luxury performance” footwear. They first burst onto the scene with their basketball sneaker, which featured a Load ’N Launch technology that makes wearers jump higher—a construction that got them noticed and even banned by the NBA. Since then, the brand has expanded into other categories such as lifestyle and running shoes, all of which are celebrity favorites (Sofia Richie is a fan, too).

With their first New York store, the duo will offer their signature assortment of stylish athletic shoes—as well as bring an elevated retail experience to the Manhattan sneaker scene. “We really focused on creating something that you couldn’t find anywhere else,” says Adam. To do so, they created a curated flagship location that displays their product in an artful and interactive way. “People refer to New York as the city that never sleeps, so we want to create this dream state [in the store],” says Ryan. “We wanted the space to feel surreal.”
The almost 4,000-square-foot retail space, for one, is shaped like an amphitheater, with curved walls and basketball stadium-style seating (a nice nod to the brand’s athletic roots). “We started with basketball and performance, so that was a really important touch to us when we were designing the space,” says Ryan. In the back of the store, meanwhile, are five special “vanity rooms” that are lined with different stones such as onyx; They’re perfect for outfit selfies and Instagram photo ops. “Each [room] represents the five boroughs of New York,” says Ryan, while Adam adds, “When you’re [trying on] shoes, you want to see how it all comes together—we wanted to have a full immersive moment.”
In the store, shoppers can peruse APL’s full collection of men’s, women’s, and kids shoes. “There will be a beautiful balance between our core products, and then seasonal collections that inject color, fun, and patterns into [the mix],” says Ryan. The store will also carry exclusive silhouettes or colorways. For the duo, having these exclusive in-store elements was important. “For us, there’s no substitution for the tangibility of what you can do in person,” says Adam, while Ryan adds, “It creates a connection that's special and deep with the consumer.”
Opening a New York flagship is no small feat for any brand, but for the twin brothers, opening the doors of their SoHo storefront this week is a particularly surreal milestone achievement. “When Ryan and I started APL, our dream was to see one person that we didn’t know wearing APLs,” says Adam. “Now, we see people every day across the world wearing them. It’s the best feeling.” They have even more stores on the horizon, too—hinting at a possible international flagship next. “We definitely want to open up more stores,” says Adam. “But we’ve never been about volume. We've always been about quality—not quantity.”
The insider’s guide to what to shop and how to wear it.

Rock legend John Mellencamp shows in his exhibit of new portraits at DTR Modern in Soho that he “ain’t even done with the night.”
The exhibit, which opened on Nov. 7 at the gallery located at 428 West Broadway, showcases a collection of 13 pieces by Mellencamp, who began painting portraits seriously in the 1980s. His work is influenced by German expressionist painters Otto Dix and Max Beckmann.
Avalon Ashley Bellos, gallery director at DTR Modern, said the gallery was excited and honored to host Mellencamp’s “artistic adventure.” Bellos shared that gallery owner Ted Vassilev was instrumental in bringing Mellencamp’s art to DTR Moderne, and the exhibit was highly anticipated.
“We’ve already sold one or two of the work prior to the show, just showing how beautiful his works are, and we’re excited to show that,” Bellos said. “Some of these works are archived from his early days of creating, and then some of them are quite recent.”
Vassilev said Mellencamp’s portraits were nothing short of “incredible.”
“When I first went to see him in his studio in Indiana, we started talking about how we can make things happen,” Vassilev said. “And it took us 12 years, but I’m very happy with the final outcome.”
The selections of portraits on display are strongly influenced by German expressionism. Vassilev said he admires Mellencamp’s art because of the roughness one typically finds in street art.
“In a way, it’s very postmodern in the sense that you can read into the portrait, and you can see that this is almost like a novel,” Vassilev said. “You look in the portrait, and you can see who the person is, and you start reading into the person’s life. What happened before, where the person is right now, and where they’re going to. It’s almost like you are reading a novel. And that’s is a narrative.”
Art critic and curator Eleanor Heartney was impressed with Mellencamp’s portraits, describing his art as expressive and deeply felt.
“I tend to see these things through the lens of art history,” Heartney said. “I see sort of German expressionism. I see Max Beckmann, but also with all the text, I see Basquiat. I see a lot of interesting art historical connotations here. I also see a little bit of Alice Neil. [Mellencamp’s] work comes out of this very kind of emotional side of art history, I would say. It’s not conceptual. It’s deeply felt.”
Heartney said seeing a musician venture into a different art genre didn’t surprise her.
“Obviously, there was still something there from their childhood, from their early training, that they felt they needed to express in this other medium,” Heartney said. “And it’s very different, you know, visual and music are very, very different. But I think maybe the emotional core is the same.”

The Big Apple knows a thing or two about diner culture, and Revelie Luncheonette in NYC’s fashion-forward Soho neighborhood is adding to the list of must-visit diners in the city.
In an unassuming Prince Street storefront, this retro eatery and bar reimagines classic diners with French-American cuisine. Helmed by the team behind downtown Manhattan’s 47-year-old Raoul’s, it exudes the same energy in a casual yet elevated setting.
Inside the 1920s-inspired luncheonette, Art Deco-influenced design constructs the intimate space: retro vinyl banquettes, original mosaic-tile floors, and textured tin accents set the scene. A classic bar front swathed in dark wood and a shiny pearl-white countertop is reminiscent of teenagers slipping into the diner for a late-night soda pop or cherry-on-top milkshake.
To match the laidback ambiance, acclaimed Raoul’s Chef David Honeysett whips up casual American dishes infused with French techniques: think boiling French Onion Soup with croutons and Comte and Chicken Cordon Bleu with ham and gruyere. We highly recommend ordering the Green Chile Cheeseburger Spring Rolls as an appetizer. The Iceberg Wedge with Roquefort and bacon or the Baby Kale Caesar with pecorino cheese pair nicely with their soup of the day, too.
For heartier plates, there’s a selection of burgers and sandwiches, such as a Classic Burger served with shredded lettuce, tomato, red onion, American cheese, and mayonnaise, and a Patty Melt comprised of rye sourdough and caramelized onions. The Lobster Roll served with house-made potato chips caught our utmost attention. And if you’re in the mood to have breakfast for dinner, an Omelette All Day comprises French ham, Comté cheese, and a green side salad. We didn’t forget their lineup of homemade crinkle-cut fries and haystack zucchini, either.
Since the restaurant is a modern rendition of America’s nostalgic soda fountains, there’s an assemblage of specialty sodas, including Cherry Cola, Vanilla Coke, and Root Beer, all of which can seamlessly turn into mouthwatering ice cream floats. Its traditional diner roots shine through with its slurp-worthy cherry-topped milkshakes and ice cream sundaes made with chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and pistachio scoops. True sweet-tooth diners will indulge in the warm, homemade Apple Strudel.
Karim Raoul and Jillian Fracassi, a husband-and-wife team who are the second-generation owners of both Revelie Luncheonette and Raoul’s, named Revelie after their daughters, Reve and Amelie, embodying the essence of family-driven, heartfelt New York City diner culture serving exceptional classic cuisine.
Location: Soho, New York City
Address: 179 Prince Street, New York, N.Y. 10012
Price Point: $$
Takes Reservations: Walk-ins only
The vibe: A modern take on the traditional American diner in NYC’s buzzy Soho neighborhood.
Our favorite thing on the menu: We loved the French Onion Soup, but the Green Chile Cheeseburger Spring Rolls blew everything out of the water.
The attire: Casual
Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner: Open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Embracing sustainability, style, and comfort has become the mantra of today's discerning shoppers. Vivaia, a direct-to-consumer brand at the forefront of this movement, has garnered acclaim for embodying these values in its footwear. Today, Friday, October 6th, the brand is launching its first US physical retail pop-up in New York City's iconic SoHo at 89 Crosby St and will be open until Sunday, October 22nd.
"Our decision to open an experiential pop-up store was driven by our desire for a more intimate connection with our customers. After three years of digital engagement and valuable insights from our Japan pop-up, we're eager to meet our customers face-to-face and let them experience our shoes firsthand," shared Jeff Chan, cofounder of Vivaia.
The brand's sales are exclusively online – no wholesale or other retail locations. However, the company anticipates a threefold growth year-over-year this year. It's growing significantly, some of which can be attributed to the mass celebrity support, with women like Katie Holmes and Selena Gomez wearing its shoes.
The NYC store space is about 2,000 square feet and features over 100 styles showcased on floor-to-ceiling custom-made displays. Shoppers are greeted by a V-shaped window display of Vivaia shoes as they enter the store. NYC-exclusive styles are available to shoppers, canvas storage bags for those who purchase more than two pairs of shoes, and photo ops with a one-of-a-kind NYC and Vivaia skyline photo wall. The store was designed with Vivaia by Qwarch Studio and is just the beginning of the brand's entrance into the US retail market.

"We collaborated with VIVAIA to craft the interior design to convey a sense of subtle warmth and tactile pleasure, aligning with the unique sensation of wearing our shoes, stated Quin Wu, founder of Qwarch Studio, adding that "notably, we've incorporated recycled fabric and wood from previous projects into our display system, echoing Vivaia's ethos of repurposing materials into something both functional and beautiful. Despite the ephemeral nature of a pop-up store, our aim is to offer a lasting brand experience, leaving a memorable impression on anyone who steps inside."
The design intentionally aligns with brand values while creating a memorable and unique shopper experience.
Vivaia is one of many international brands that have opened stores in the US market over the last year. For instance, Astrid & Miyu launched its first store in NYC last year and recently opened its second location in the city on Bleecker St. in the West Village. Another example is Sunspel, a luxury British heritage brand, which opened its second US store earlier this year in Manhattan's Upper East Side.
New York City does appear to be the first stop for many of these international brands, likely driven by its large population, diverse culture, and tourist draw. Similarly, Los Angeles tends to be the next stop. Vivaia has plans for a pop-up in LA and other wholesale collaborations in various cities across the US.
For a company just starting to build its name in the US market, physical retail is an excellent opportunity to reach shoppers transactionally and for brand awareness. A 2019 survey by ICSC found that opening a new store in a market leads to a 37% average increase in web traffic. More specifically, 80% of the store openings studied resulted in some gain to the retailer's web traffic. Therefore, a store can bring in new revenue and boost brand awareness in a new market.
Looking ahead, Vivaia envisions an expansive journey in the US retail landscape. "Stores, both pop-up and permanent ones, play a crucial role in our long-term growth strategy. They provide an invaluable platform for face-to-face communication with our customers, which is not just about selling shoes but learning directly from our customers about their needs, preferences, and feedback," said Chan. The stores can increase brand awareness and act as a valued platform for customer interaction.
With this ethos, Vivaia is ready to open more pop-up stores across the US and potentially establish permanent retail spaces over the next few years. As Chan aptly puts it, "The goal is to be where our customers are, to better serve them, and to continue to learn from them."
Correction, October 6th, 2023: A previous version of this article stated Vivaia was based in the UK. They have an office in the country, but their HQ is in China.
