Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. From an aesthetic standpoint, being overweight is a struggle - clothes don't fit right, people make uncomfortable comments about how you look, and everyday activities are less appealing.
From a health and wellness standpoint, however, being obese is much worse. Your life is literally on the line. The people who love you and depend on you to be in their lives could lose you sooner than you expect. With time, you have a higher chance of suffering from significant, life-changing issues such as:
While obesity is a serious problem, a new medication on the market is giving hope to millions of men and women across the U.S. This game-changing treatment is called Semaglutide in Washington, NJ. This anti-obesity medication is unique because it treats obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, rather than a problem that can be solved through sheer willpower. The best part? Semaglutide and other medical weight-loss peptides are now available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
At Global Life Rejuvenation, we understand that losing weight is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our medical weight loss clinic offers custom medical weight loss plans tailored to your body, rather than plans based solely on your age or weight. In fact, our team of doctors and practitioners provides personalized guidance to help you achieve real results and live a healthier life.
Because the truth is maintaining good health and fitness are crucial in the modern world. Research has shown that viruses and diseases are more likely to affect those who are overweight and unhealthy. At Global Life Rejuvenation, we take a comprehensive, custom approach to medical weight loss that includes peptide therapy and more. We then work with you to make positive lifestyle changes, so you can lose weight, get healthy, and boost your wellbeing permanently - not for a few weeks or months.
If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.
Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.
Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Washington, NJ, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.
However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.
If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.
If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.
You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."
Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.
When combined with healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, Semaglutide can help provide:
There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.
A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.
It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?
If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.
As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Washington, NJ are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.
One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.
To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.
Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.
To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.
Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.
Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.
What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.
Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.
Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:
This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.
This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.
That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.
Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:
A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.
When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.
Request AppointmentLike other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.
As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.
Request AppointmentIn the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.
Much like Semaglutide treatment in Washington, NJ, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:
Have you tried everything under the sun to try and eliminate the cellulite on your legs, arms, and other areas of your body? If you're like most people, getting rid of cellulite isn't just difficult - it's nearly impossible. Fortunately, those days are over. Lipo Sculpt Cream from Global Life Rejuvenation can help reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite while also refining your figure and firming up your skin.
The active ingredients in this product have the ability to reduce and prevent the growth of fatty tissue while also improving microcirculation. They work together to treat both adipose and aqueous cellulite, and aid in the elimination of fatty deposits and excess water stored in the tissues. This results in a reduction of dimples and an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin.
If you have experienced success with a medical weight loss plan and reached your target weight but still suffer from cellulite, Lipo Sculpt Cream is a fantastic choice to consider. A few of the most common benefits include:

Sprouts Farmers Market is planned for Washington Township (Gloucester County) New Jersey, moving into a “to-be-built” new building on Egg Harbor Road.
Gloucester County is finally getting a premium organic grocery. “Sprouts”!
Washington Township made the news official at noon today, at a formal announcement on site at the Harbor Place Shopping Center.
Sprouts will be developed adjacent to the existing center (where Rita’s, Dollar Tree, TD Bank, Brick Grocery are located)
Sprouts is a large and rapidly growing premium Natural/Organic healthy grocery chain with over 380 locations in the United States.
They would be Gloucester County’s first national healthy food focused grocery, in a category which also includes Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.
Sprouts differentiates itself by also putting an emphasis on “fresh”, by making and preparing many grocery category items in the store, when their competition uses significantly more prepackaged product.
As an example, last year Sprouts and their in-store deli went viral on social media for their fresh, made-to-order $5 packed deli sandwich deal. Multiple customer video clips reached over a million views each! It actually increased customer visits and revenue! (GroceryDive.com)
Sprouts offers…
This is bigger than just Washington Township. This is a win for all of Gloucester County.
Having a grocery in this category in the Gloucester County area has been a top item on the “wish list” for decades!
At the 42Freeway Facebook page, so many readers comment on almost every news item “Why cant we get a Sprout’s/Trader Joe’s/Whole Foods?”, that it’s now become a joke comment for many!
And it was Washington Township and shopping center owner MLG Realty, who landed one first!
In South Jersey, Sprouts has had a location in Marlton since 2019, and another location is currently under development in Westmont, Haddon Township. With the Washington Township store they will have a store in each of the three counties; Burlington, Camden and Gloucester.
Interestingly it seems Washington Township is getting a Sprouts before Cherry Hill… although Cherry Hill may already be too crowded in the organic grocery category, with Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s already in that town.
For the planned Washington Township location, the new building will be developed adjacent to the Harbor Place shopping center which is at the corner of Egg Harbor Rd. and Hurffvile-Grenloch Rd. (Where Rita’s Water Ice and TD Bank are located).
The large plot of undeveloped land next to the existing center was previously approved years ago for a shopping center expansion of smaller stores, and will head to the Planning Board soon for an updated approval.
Since the prior plans for the property were already approved for a commercial retail development, the new direction with Sprouts should be a simple approval ammendment.
The Sprouts building is expected to be in the 28,000-30,000 sq ft size, which is smaller than what was previously approved for the site.
It is believe a “pad” site will be made available in the front parking area for an additional smaller business.
There is an existing traffic signal where Salina Rd meets Egg Harbor Road, and at that point an entrance into the Sprouts parking area will be added.
The two shopping centers will also be connected with an access driveway between them
it is very early in the announcement and planning stages, so they have not provided an expected opening date as of yet.
That being said it seems Sprouts is eager to get started on the project and is expect to submit the formal application and site plan to Washington Township in the next few weeks!
The Sprouts Farmers Market grocery stores are focused on natural/organic products, but they still carry an extensive product line.
Sprouts seems to really take healthy eating and shopping to the highest level.
They state that approximately 90% of the 19,000 products they carry are natural or organic.. as well as a large selection of gluten free products.
You will not find the top selling sodas or candies at a sprouts… only healthy eating options!
Similar to their healthy competitors, the stores are a smaller size than a full traditional supermarket…but Sprouts still brings with it the full grocery store experience!
A typical store is about 30,000 square feet whereas new full supermarkets developed in the area most recently were about twice the size.
But they still offer a large selection of fresh produce, a deli with prepared entrees and side dishes, a fish market and a butcher shop as well as a large selection of vitamins and supplements.
Coincidentally I recently stopped at the Marlton location to see what Sprouts Farmers Market was all about… for an article I wanted to put up for the Westmont location which is under construction.
At the time I had no idea I would be using those Marlton store images for an article on a new location in Washington Township! But I soon got a tip from someone in the industry that Sprouts was coming to Gloucester County… so I waited for the official announcement today.
In my visit to Marlton, I found the store to be bright, colorful and inviting, and it was more open and had less of claustrophobic feeling of a full sized supermarket with their rows and rows of tall shelving aisles.
Well that’s because they’re focused on only healthy and organic options.
Well there absolutely are product aisles, but it felt like the largest part of the store’s main floor are in Marlton was featuring fresh produce, prepared foods and lower height shelving.
For the size and shelving style I guess our best comparison would be an Aldi store, but the “theming” of a Sprouts store goes much further than Aldi with eye pleasing interior graphics and store design.
Sprouts literally “walks the talk” of just being the best of everything. Their concerns go way beyond providing the healthiest organic foods.
The Sprouts website features their concerns and governance in areas such as human rights, sustainable palm oil, supplier code of conduct, supply chain transparency, responsibly sourced seafood, animal welfare and more.
They won’t put a product in the store unless it meets their strict requirements… including how the product is grown or made, and also the supplier’s processes behind the scenes.
So again this is very early in the announcement phase although the Sprouts is telling the Township they are submitting their application and site plan in April!
This is a big deal. Sprouts is the type of business which grabs the attention of other businesses which may have previously skipping much of Gloucester County. Let’s hope this is the start of something even greater!

Westfield native Jim Stempel knows more about New Jersey now than when he lived there.
However, with key locales named Spanktown, Samptown and Quibbletown, Stempel's New Jersey bears little resemblance to today's Garden State.
"It was a totally different New Jersey back then," he said. "It was a completely different map."
Now a resident of Maryland, Stempel recently returned to his home state in spirit to write his new book: "The Enemy Harassed: Washington's New Jersey Campaign of 1777." Set for release on March 21, it is a story of violence, fortitude and survival, he said. It is also one of an agrarian society, ideologically torn and living amid nearly constant strife.
Stempel said he was astounded by the number of military actions in New Jersey in 1777 — and their level of violence.
"It struck me as really quite amazing that I had grown up and not heard any of this stuff," he said. "This was the book I would have wanted to read."
How NJ's plan to get favored son elected led to Abraham Lincoln's 1860 nomination
To pull together his account, Stempel combined historical records, contemporary descriptions, war diaries and official correspondence. Firsthand accounts from Hessian officer Johann Ewald, Loyalist officer for the British Stephen Kemble and others provide varying perspectives.
Focused on the often glossed-over period after the Battle of Trenton and the lead-up to the Battle of Brandywine Creek, the book retells a hidden history set amid the state's hills and meadows.
It starts with the Battle of Princeton on Jan. 3 of 1777. In a struggle narrowly won by the Americans, the action began when the two sides essentially stumbled into one another north of Trenton. It ended when George Washington led a counterattack under the cover of a battery hurling grapeshot and canisters.

After two subsequent and smaller skirmishes, the British collected themselves in New Brunswick. The Continental Army wintered at Morristown, then a town of 250. From his headquarters in Jacob Arnold's tavern on Morristown's public green, Washington was forced to watch most of his army disband, due to expiring enlistments. He held on under the protection of the nearby hills as reinforcements trickled in, Stempel said.
"He was in a very vulnerable position," Stempel said. "His objective, I think, was to survive. And he did."
Bergenfield church, one of Bergen County's first, kicks off 300th anniversary celebration
Washington had his remaining militias disperse in a web formation to frustrate the British efforts to forage outside New Brunswick, Stempel said. Washington generally monitored the situation from the Watchung Mountains and received post-action reports. His junior officers received vital on-the-job training that would come back to haunt the British, Stempel said.
From Morristown, Stempel's book covers events at Spanktown (Rahway), Quibbletown (Piscataway) and beyond.
By the end of July 1777, the British had tired of having their noses bitten off by American forces, Stempel said. They retreated off the coast of Sandy Hook to regroup for a southern approach on their target: Philadelphia.
"They could not cross New Jersey," Stempel said. "It was a hornet's nest."
A 1970 graduate of the Citadel in South Carolina, Stempel has a degree in political science. He has written about the Eastern campaigns of the American Civil War and is working on a novel from his Maryland home. "The Enemy Harassed: Washington's New Jersey Campaign of 1777" will be available through several nationwide retailers.

Washington, D.C. (05/27/2023) – The Washington Spirit will face NJ/NY Gotham FC Sunday evening in both sides’ ninth regular season match of the 2023 season. The match kicks off at 5 p.m. EDT at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. and will broadcast on Paramount+ for fans across the United States. International viewers can stream the match on NWSLSoccer.com as well.
The Spirit
The Spirit comes into Sunday’s match off a 2-1 loss to the Orlando Pride – it was the Spirit’s first loss of the 2023 regular season. The defeat ended the franchise’s longest unbeaten streak at seven games and enabled NJ/NY Gotham FC, Portland Thorns FC and San Diego Wave FC to leapfrog the then-first place Spirit.
In the match, the Spirit conceded twice – a rare occurrence for the Spirit defense, who entered that match with the fewest (5) goals allowed in the league – including Marta’s first goal since October 2021. Defender Sam Staab scored the only Spirit goal, extending her streak of scoring in every regular season of her career. Inès Jaurena assisted on the goal – her first career NWSL assist.
The previous matchup against Gotham FC, the Spirit was handed its first loss of the 2023 season (all competitions), losing 1-0 in the first 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup match of the season. The lone goal came off the foot of Lynn Williams in the 56th minute.
Sunday’s match marks the Spirit’s first game at Audi Field since May 10th. In regular season matches at Audi Field this season, the Spirit remains unbeaten (W2, 1D), conceding a league-low one goal in those games. In four games at Audi Field through all competitions this season, the Spirit have won three games, lost zero games, and recorded a +5 goal differential.
Additionally, the Spirit has won five of the last seven home matches in all competitions dating back to last September. In 23 all-time games (all competitions) played at Audi Field, the Spirit has lost only three times (excluding forfeits). The team has a +18 goal differential in those games.
The Spirit is one of four teams in the league with over a 50% shooting accuracy and 40+ shots on target, respectively. In both statistical categories, three of the top four teams represent three of the top four on the NWSL table.
Both the Spirit and Gotham FC, however, have displayed incredible parity across a number of statistical categories – notably, expected goals and expected goals allowed. The Spirit ranks third with a 12.3 expected goal tally, while Gotham FC ranks fourth with an 11.49 expected goal tally. Both teams have scored 11 goals on the season. The same is true for expected goals: The Spirit ranks fourth with 9.31, Gotham FC ranks fifth with 10.4 and both sides have conceded a league-low seven goals on the season.
Finally, with any playing time in Sunday’s match, midfielder Ashley Sanchez will earn her 50th career regular season appearance.
Following Sunday’s match, the Spirit will continue its four-game homestand at Audi Field, playing Racing Louisville FC on Saturday, June 3rd at 8 p.m. EDT.
The Opposition
NJ/NY Gotham FC is perhaps the hottest team in the NWSL, coming off a decisive 4-1 victory on the road against OL Reign. Gotham FC was up 4-0 before conceding a goal to Jordyn Huitema in the 77th. Half of Gotham FC’s 14 shots were on goal.
The three points launched the heavily rebuilt side into first place on the NWSL table for the first time since July 2013. The team leads the trio of Portland, San Diego and Washington by one point. Last season, Gotham FC finished last on the NWSL table, mustering 13 points and earning defeats in 17 games.
Forward Lynn Williams has been essential to the team’s success this season, tied for the Golden Boot lead (5 goals) and scoring seven goals through all competitions this season. She has game-winning goals in half of Gotham FC’s eight games, accounting for 12 of the team’s 16 total points. Williams has also scored a goal in seven of her last ten appearances in all NWSL competitions, including Gotham FC’s win at OL Reign. Scoring in 59 different matches in her career, Williams is tied with Sam Kerr and Christine Sinclair for most in NWSL history. She also ranks second in the NWSL with 29 shots and 18 shots on goal this season.
In its last 11 meetings with the Spirit, Gotham FC has lost only three times in all competitions since 2020 (W4, D4). Previously, Gotham FC lost eight of the previous ten meetings from late 2016 through 2019.
Gotham FC has won four of its first five regular season road matches this year, the fifth team in NWSL history to win four of its first five on the road and the first since the North Carolina Courage in 2018 (5).

If the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl, South Jersey residents will have two things to root for on Feb. 12.
A Washington Township High School health and physical education teacher, who has a popular BBQ business, appears on the second season of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s “Next Level Chef”, which kicks off on Fox right after the Big Game wraps up.
Teacher Matt Groark, the creator of Groark Boys’ BBQ, has amassed a huge social media platform — 128,000 followers on Instagram, 651,000 followers on YouTube and 3.2 million TikTok followers (@groarkboysbbq) and has amassed more than 50.9 million likes on that platform.
His social media following likely made him hard to overlook for the show, which was filmed in London and will have a regular 8 p.m. Thursday time slot after the first episode.
Groark’s business has grown so much over the last several years that he has an agent, who found the opportunity with Ramsay and encouraged Groark to apply.

“When everyone was home with COVID, I decided to strike while the iron was hot,” Groark said in a statement. “My business had already been established, and I started posting my BBQ videos, then food tutorial videos, and my social media just blew up. I started to get BBQ-related deals. Lowes reached out and wanted to send me a grill to cook on. I filmed a video and used #Lowes and they posted it on their website. Other deals came in.”
Ramsay is joined by two other top names in the food world — Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais. The pair take a separate group of talented chefs under their wings in the competition. Groark competed under Blais.
Groark endured a virtual interview, questions from FOX's production team and even a psychiatric evaluation to see if he would be a good fit for the show.
“Outside of the actual cooking, they asked me about traveling, being away from my family. They wanted to see how I handled stress, whether I had issues with anxiety or depression.”
Groark was invited to be among 22 people (18 made the show) in the all-American cast, a combination of professional, culinary-trained chefs, home cooks, and social media chefs, Groark’s category. He had the largest audience among the social media competitors.
According to a news release, the show is produced by Studio Ramsay Global and FOX Alternative Entertainment, “Next Level Chef is the next evolution in cooking competitions, as Ramsay has designed a one-of-a-kind culinary gauntlet."
The three-story building where the show was filmed has a “stunningly different kitchen” on each floor. From the “glistening top floor to the challenging basement, the ingredients match the environment because Ramsay believes the true test of great chefs is not what they can do in the best of circumstances, but what kind of magic they can create in the worst”, the release stated.
Filming began in mid-August so Groark had to take an unpaid leave of absence from WTHS to participate.
“All of the contestants stayed at the same hotel, and we went from the hotel to the studio and/back,” he explained. “We were not allowed to go out in London, but we could congregate on the roof-top terrace for fresh air and to socialize. I met some incredible people and some amazing chefs.
“Getting to be in the kitchen with Gordon Ramsay was pretty wild. He was so different than how he has appeared in 'Master Chef' or 'Hell’s Kitchen.' The basis of this show was mentorship. I saw a very different side of him. He was awesome.”
While he missed his wife Kristin, and his boys Aidric (8) and Nash (6) and his WTHS seniors, the experience is something Groark will never forget.
“It was just an incredible, unforgettable experience,” said Groark, who cannot share the outcome of the competition. “I was so happy to have had that opportunity, and I encourage everyone to tune in and watch my journey.”
Groark was interviewed by the Courier Post previously in 2018 when he and his family were, sadly, mourning his wife’s miscarriage. His 22 juniors in his second-period health class gifted him and his wife tickets to a Philadelphia 76ers game. Groark is an avid fan.
“What they did was just so heartfelt and kind,” said Groark at the time. He had to step outside the classroom to gather his emotions.
Two days later, Groark shared the news that he and his wife wouldn’t be attending the game alone. The students would be coming, too, courtesy of the Sixers.
