Did you know that more than 40% of adults in the United States suffer from obesity? Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this condition. Perhaps worse is that more and more adults and children are gaining weight across the country, choosing the convenience of fast and nutrition-deficient foods over healthy eating, exercise, and positive life choices. From an aesthetic standpoint, being overweight is a struggle - clothes don't fit right, people make uncomfortable comments about how you look, and everyday activities are less appealing.
From a health and wellness standpoint, however, being obese is much worse. Your life is literally on the line. The people who love you and depend on you to be in their lives could lose you sooner than you expect. With time, you have a higher chance of suffering from significant, life-changing issues such as:
While obesity is a serious problem, a new medication on the market is giving hope to millions of men and women across the U.S. This game-changing treatment is called Semaglutide in Westwood, NJ. This anti-obesity medication is unique because it treats obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, rather than a problem that can be solved through sheer willpower. The best part? Semaglutide and other medical weight-loss peptides are now available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
At Global Life Rejuvenation, we understand that losing weight is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our medical weight loss clinic offers custom medical weight loss plans tailored to your body, rather than plans based solely on your age or weight. In fact, our team of doctors and practitioners provides personalized guidance to help you achieve real results and live a healthier life.
Because the truth is maintaining good health and fitness are crucial in the modern world. Research has shown that viruses and diseases are more likely to affect those who are overweight and unhealthy. At Global Life Rejuvenation, we take a comprehensive, custom approach to medical weight loss that includes peptide therapy and more. We then work with you to make positive lifestyle changes, so you can lose weight, get healthy, and boost your wellbeing permanently - not for a few weeks or months.
If you're ready to get back to loving your life with more energy, confidence, and positivity, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may be for you. But to truly understand the benefits of peptides like Semaglutide, it's important you grasp what peptide therapy is and how it benefits your body.
Many individuals turn to peptide therapy to enhance their overall wellbeing by boosting hormones. Different types of peptides can target different areas of health, such as collagen peptides that can help improve skin, hair, and gut health.
Other peptides, such as AOD 9604, CJC 1295, and Semaglutide in Westwood, NJ, are incredibly beneficial for losing weight. Compared to vitamin supplements, peptide therapy works differently as peptides are already part of the proteins in our bodies, making them easier to absorb and benefit from. Conversely, our bodies can sometimes fail to absorb all the nutrients present in multivitamins, leading to their excretion through urine.
However, it's important to note that weight loss is a complex process that involves various factors like age, genetics, lifestyle, exercise, and diet. While peptides like Semaglutide can provide much-needed assistance in achieving your weight loss goals, they are most effective when combined with healthy dietary choices, regular exercise routines, and overall healthier lifestyle choices.
If you've already tried different weight loss plans and diets but haven't had any success, medical weight loss with peptide therapy may provide that extra boost you need to realize your goals.
If you're looking to lose weight and keep it off, diet and exercise are important, but it can be difficult to stick to a routine. For busy adults and parents, Semaglutide can be a helpful tool for weight loss. This injection, approved by the FDA for diabetes and obesity, works by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain to aid in weight loss and improve long-term health.
You may be wondering to yourself, "That sounds great, but how does this type of peptide work?" Semaglutide acts like glucagon in your body, which signals to your brain that you're full and don't need to eat anymore. When you take Semaglutide, and you try to overeat, your body waves a proverbial red flag as if to say, "That's enough."
Semaglutide also slows down digestion, reducing unnecessary snacking throughout the day. By reducing glucose spikes after meals, it reduces inflammation, which is important for overall health. Additionally, Semaglutide helps your pancreas secrete insulin, regulates the glucose levels in your body, and even has anti-aging and longevity properties. If you're struggling to lose weight, peptide therapies for weight loss like Semaglutide can be an invaluable addition to your weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation.
When combined with healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, Semaglutide can help provide:
There are multiple medications available to combat obesity by suppressing appetite and promoting weight loss. However, Semaglutide stands out as an exceptional option.
A recent study of 2,000 obese adults examined the effects of Semaglutide when combined with a diet and exercise program. The results were compared to those who only made lifestyle changes without taking Semaglutide. After 68 weeks, it was found that half of the participants using Semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, with nearly a third losing 20%. In contrast, those who only made lifestyle changes lost an average of 2.4% of their weight.
It's obvious, then, that Semaglutide is a safe and effective supplement for your weight loss journey with Global Life Rejuvenation. But who is the ideal patient who should be taking it?
If you have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or higher and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol, or if your BMI is 30kg/m2 or higher, the FDA recommends Semaglutide for weight loss.
As medical weight loss experts, one thing our doctors and practitioners know at Global Life Rejuvenation is that true weight loss isn't dictated by medicines. It's achieved by sticking to a combo of exercise, healthy life choices, and healthy eating habits. From there, peptides like Semaglutide in Westwood, NJ are great for taking your weight loss efforts to the next level of success.
One area where many patients fail in this process is with their diet. If you're considering Semaglutide treatment, keep these diet tips in mind.
To enhance your dietary habits, a practical approach is to concentrate on consuming whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. These food items are rich in nutrients and can provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction while also promoting your overall wellbeing.
Eating mindfully involves being fully present and engaged during meals. This entails taking the time to enjoy the flavor of your food, being aware of your body's hunger and fullness signals, and avoiding distractions like electronics or television.
To maintain good health and support weight loss, it's crucial to drink plenty of water. It's recommended to drink at least 8-10 cups of water daily. You may also try adding low-calorie drinks like herbal tea or infused water to keep things interesting.
Planning your meals in advance is an effective approach to maintaining a healthy diet. Set aside some time each week to plan your meals and snacks, keeping in mind to incorporate a balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will prevent impulsive food choices and guarantee that you have nutritious options available when hunger strikes.
Unlike many medical weight loss clinics, which only offer cookie-cutter weight loss plans and one or two additional fat-busting solutions, Global Life Rejuvenation provides access to new, innovative supplements and medicines. If you're used to fad diets and "quick" weight loss plans, peptides like AOD 9604 and others may be new to you. To help build your foundation of healthy living knowledge, let's take a look at a few of the most popular weight-loss peptides and medicines available at Global Life Rejuvenation.
Often combined with Semaglutide regimens, AOD 9604 is known to promote fat breakdown, inhibit lipogenesis, and support tendons and cartilage. However, most recently, it has gained popularity due to its ability to boost metabolism and aid in burning fat.
What sets AOD 9604 apart is that it stimulates the pituitary gland without affecting tissue growth or blood sugar levels. Additionally, it can burn fat without causing overeating, making it a viable option for obese men and women who are trying to implement better eating habits.
Interestingly, AOD 9604 activates your body's fat-burning processes without requiring an HGH receptor. It also releases obese fat cells and reduces the accumulation of new fat cells. By helping to regulate blood sugar and manage insulin levels, AOD 9604 is excellent for weight loss but also for other maladies like inflammation.
Some conditions that this powerful peptide can help address include the following:
This medical weight loss supplement Is technically a combo of two peptides. These substances work by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's natural human growth hormone, which is secreted during both waking and sleeping periods.
This results in increased protein synthesis and levels of insulin-like growth factors. As hormone secretagogues, they help release hormones into circulation while mimicking the pituitary gland's production. Extensive research has been conducted on the effects of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin. As a tool for medical weight loss, it has shown very promising results.
That's because when growth hormone levels increase, nutrients are transported through the body faster, more fat is burned, and weight management becomes simpler. Additionally, because CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin increase the amount of growth hormone in your body, it stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes, leading to improved fat metabolism and reduced abdominal fat.
Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin for weight loss include:
A Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection is a mixture of lipotropics that aid in fat breakdown. The key components - methionine, inositol, and choline - work together to metabolize fat cells and eliminate stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Methionine is an important amino acid, inositol contributes to proper cell formation, and choline is a water-soluble nutrient that promotes healthy liver function. When combined, these compounds may help reduce body fat.
When used in conjunction with a medical weight loss plan from Global Life Rejuvenation, MIC injections can be a powerful addition to reclaiming your health and wellbeing.
Request AppointmentLike other weight loss peptides and medicines on this page, Phentermine can help you lose weight when you stick to a medical weight loss plan that includes dieting, exercise, and smart life choices. It does so by reducing your appetite, which limits the number of calories you eat every day.
As is the case with Semaglutide, Phentermine has been approved by the FDA and is supported by clinical studies that show it can support weight loss. With time, patience, and healthy living, this supplement may help you reach your wellness goals sooner than you thought possible.
Request AppointmentIn the body, 7-keto-DHEA is produced from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is a hormone made by glands near your kidneys. However, unlike DHEA, 7-keto-DHEA is not converted into androgen and estrogen in your body. Instead, 7-keto-DHEA is used orally or topically to boost your body's metabolism. It also helps convert more of your energy into heat, instead of storing it in your body as fat, which can accumulate with time and lifestyle choices.
Much like Semaglutide treatment in Westwood, NJ, 7-keto-DHEA has been shown to be very effective for weight loss as well as a host of other issues. Additional benefits of taking 7-keto-DHEA may include the following:
Have you tried everything under the sun to try and eliminate the cellulite on your legs, arms, and other areas of your body? If you're like most people, getting rid of cellulite isn't just difficult - it's nearly impossible. Fortunately, those days are over. Lipo Sculpt Cream from Global Life Rejuvenation can help reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite while also refining your figure and firming up your skin.
The active ingredients in this product have the ability to reduce and prevent the growth of fatty tissue while also improving microcirculation. They work together to treat both adipose and aqueous cellulite, and aid in the elimination of fatty deposits and excess water stored in the tissues. This results in a reduction of dimples and an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin.
If you have experienced success with a medical weight loss plan and reached your target weight but still suffer from cellulite, Lipo Sculpt Cream is a fantastic choice to consider. A few of the most common benefits include:

The Iron Horse Restaurant, the 51-year-old, family-owned stalwart in Westwood that was famous for its cheese-stuffed burgers and complimentary pickles and cole slaw, has reopened — with new owners, new name, new chefs, new staff, new menu and a slightly new look.
After a three-month closure, the restaurant, rebranded as The Tavern at the Iron Horse, had a soft opening last week and as of today is officially opened, serving both lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday.
"I tell everyone, it's the same soul with a new wardrobe," said Sean Tremble, whose parents, Lee and Annie Tremble, had owned the restaurant for more than a half century. Sean Tremble has stayed on as, well, "I don't know," he said. "I guess I'm the general manager. We don't have titles here. We're just a team."
805 Hospitality, a hotel management company, bought the business from the Tremble family at the end of July, allowing Lee and Annie to retire. The new owners do not want their names made public, Sean Tremble said.
No changes were made to the exterior of the space, a building which spans nearly a block and has been an integral part of the Westwood townscape. It's nearly impossible to miss the black signage of an antique locomotive with the words "IRON HORSE" on it.
But the interior has gotten new hardwood flooring (the carpet is gone) and fresh paint. "It's the same bones," Tremble said. "It just needed a facelift."
The new chefs are still tweaking the menu, he said. "It is still a work in progress. I have to say we have two of the most talented chefs I've ever worked with."
The menu today features a slew of new homemade desserts including apple pear tart, cookie skillet with ice cream, and maple pecan bourbon tart that, Tremble said, is "out of this world." Fish and chips were also added to the kids' menu. And the bar has added a cocktail menu. "There's a real focus on cocktails though of course we still have our wines and beers."
As for its cheese-stuffed burgers, cole slaw and pickles? Not to worry. They're still being offered.

The owner of a former New Jersey hot dog eatery is introducing a new concept that serves as much more than a “hot dog joint.”
Daniel DeMiglio, who previously helmed Bergen County’s hot dog staple Callahan’s, is opening 1950 Originals in Westwood.
The new concept will open on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 325 Broadway — in the space that formerly housed Jack’s Cafe.
”I’m so excited to start fresh with a brand new business — it’s like having a blank canvas. This is my chance to start over and dream bigger!” DeMiglio said.
1950 Originals will serve two types of wieners: an original (pork and beef) and a signature (all beef). Guests can order the hot dogs to be grilled or deep fried.
Its menu will feature specialty hot dogs, burgers and fries. The list of unique hot dog creations includes the “Street Cart” (ketchup, mayo and potato sticks), “CPBP” (candied bacon drizzled with peanut butter), “K-Top Dog” (mozzarella sticks, sugar dusted potatoes and honey mustard) and “Hot Honey Pimento Cheese” (pimento cheese, hot honey and bacon bits).
“I wanted to honor my grandfather with the name,” DeMiglio said. “1950 is when he started his business, Callahan’s in Fort Lee. So through my new venture, I’m moving forward in the same direction he did and paying homage to what he did to pursue his dream, as well as what I’m doing to pursue mine.”
The new space dons a 2D-inspired black and white theme.
“When you walk inside our restaurant, it’s as if you are entering our very own sketchbook, with original artwork drawn by our team,” DeMiglio said. “After closing Callahan’s in Norwood due to the pandemic and never-ending road construction, I not only wanted to start over with a new restaurant, but start over visually as well. The white bricks you see all over the interior and exterior of our restaurant actually pays homage to my family, who laid down similar white bricks at their very first Callahan’s location in Fort Lee.”

New Jersey has long been known for its legendary hot dog joints and a new addition is finally here. 1950 Originals opened on Sunday, October 15 at 325 Broadway, Westwood, NJ—the address formerly occupied by Jack’s Cafe, which closed earlier this year.
The Westwood shop is the first brick-and-mortar location for the 1950 concept, which specializes in uniquely-topped proprietary hot dogs. Founder Dan DeMiglio worked directly with Thumann’s—who supplies famous spots such as Rutt’s Hut and Hiram’s with their hot dogs—to develop a one-of-a-kind recipe specifically made for the 1950 Originals concept. The first, a secret-recipe blend of beef and pork that differs from Thumann’s traditional beef and pork link and, of course, an all-beef link alongside it.
“You won’t be able to find these hot dogs anywhere other than our Westwood store,” said DeMiglio. “But eventually, we plan on selling them through other avenues like grocery stores and shipping nationally.”
Guests can choose between the two links offered, and how they want it cooked—grilled or deep fried in beef tallow, another nod to the past. Free toppings include ketchup, spicy brown mustard, green relish, chili sauce, red relish, hot onions, sweet onions, sauerkraut, raw onion and cheese sauce. Beyond classic dogs is a list of playful specialty options.
The specialty wieners will be topped in all kinds of fun ways. One such dog is loaded with candied bacon and peanut butter. Another plays homage to the Korean corn dogs that have gone viral in previous years—topped with sugar-dusted potatoes, honey mustard and a mozzarella stick.
DeMiglio is no stranger to the hot dog game, though; it’s in his blood. DeMiglio’s grandfather, Leonard “Artie” Castrianni, opened Callahan’s in Fort Lee—a hot dog institution and lunch counter that operated from 1950 until 2006. DeMiglio resurrected Callahan’s as a food truck in 2014, which morphed into a brick-and-mortar location before closing during the pandemic.
Today, DeMiglio is ready to hit the ground running with 1950 Originals, which he designed to honor his Grandfather, and innovate into the future. “I’m ready to start over with fresh ideas and a blank canvas,” said DeMiglio. “Our team is so excited to bring our first location and new concept to this truly original town. We plan on bringing real value and affordability to the community. It’s been our most important goal.”
1950 Originals’ interior is designed as such. A blank canvas. When you walk into the restaurant, the white brick walls and 2D-centric aesthetics signifies DeMiglio’s fresh start and re-entry into the hot dog business, something the team describes as “you are entering our very own sketchbook.”
The white bricks entrench the entire building—both inside and out—playing tribute to the photos of white bricks that were laid at the foundation of the original Callahan’s.
Beyond hot dogs, 1950 serves hamburgers and french fries.
1950 Originals also features a food truck, which can be booked for catering and events within a 10-mile radius of the 07675 zip code.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (PIX11) — What can teachers say and not say in the classroom?
The issue was debated Thursday night in the Westwood Regional School District after a previous controversy in which the superintendent banned Pride flags and signs from school property.
Members of the Westwood Regional School Board heard public comments at a meeting that included proposed changes to the district’s policy “P2240 Controversial Issues.”
Teacher Kelly O’Connor questioned how the superintendent would have time to approve conversations and asked the board who determines what controversy is.
Joseph McCallister, a former Westwood board member with two children in the district, told PIX11 he’s concerned about the vague language.
“As soon as we’re trying to micromanage what happens in a classroom, as far as I’m concerned, you’ve crossed the line,” McAllister said.
The grassroots group, New Jersey Public Education Coalition, organized a group to attend the meeting.
Members of the school board and the superintendent did not comment on the proposed changes during the public comment portion of Thursday night’s meeting.
After the meeting, the New Jersey Public Education Coalition released the following statement.
Although we are disappointed that the Westwood-Washington Township Board of Education voted 7 to 2 to move the proposed revision of the ‘Controversial Issues’ policy forward to second reading with absolutely no discussion or comment, it was not unexpected. This Board of Education has already shown their ‘stripes’ when they issued an edict prohibiting Pride flags and Pride signs at their last meeting.
While this board claims to be taking action for ‘the children’ and for ‘parent’s rights,’ in actuality this board, as a result of changes in composition over the last two election cycles, has become pawns of a right-wing political agenda.
Tonight, this board moved forward on placing restrictions on their educator’s the right to express their own opinions in the classroom. Even when the educator discloses the fact to the students that it is their own opinion and the teacher presents other viewpoints.
Instead, this board moved forward on a policy that says that teachers are ‘prohibited’ from expressing their own opinions. It is designed to send a message to these teachers that the board does not trust them.
The board action falls right in line with the right wing radical conspiracy theories claiming that teachers are secretly pushing a ‘woke’ agenda in the classrooms.
And of course, we can expect no less when James O’Keefe, the disgraced founder of Project Veritas and a former resident of Westwood, appeared in this same room last month offering to give parents hidden cameras for their children to take into the classroom and ‘spy’ on teachers.
Notably, one member of the board, Douglas Cusato, even applauded on tape when O’Keefe made this offer.
The quality of public education is no longer the foremost concern of this board. Their actions will prevent the free expression and exercise of ideas in the classroom, a foundational element of our public school system. We want students to be exposed to a multitude of ideas and opinions so they learn how to evaluate information and draw their own conclusion.
This is exactly why politics does not belong in our public schools or on our Boards of Education. Board members take a sworn oath, under God, and are subject to a Code of Ethics that requires them to provide the best education for ‘all’ children and to make the interest of children first.
Clearly, those members of this board who voted in favor of moving the provision to second reading , and probable passage at the next meeting, have violated both their oath and in my opinion, the Code of Ethics. Additionally, this board sent a clear message to their educators that the board does not stand behind the teachers educational decisions in the classroom and that teachers can expect this Board to be ‘looking over their shoulder’ at every turn. Effective public education cannot operate under those circumstances. This is not the job description of a school board. This is the job of a superintendent and the administration who are the education professionals hired by the Board to run the schools. Professionals who are and should be immune from political bias or agendas. And frankly, many board members, although well meaning, just do not have the educational experience or training to understand the difference in job description and duties.

Kmart is leaving the Garden State for good this fall.
The struggling department store chain plans to close its last New Jersey location in Westwood in September or October 2023, according to NorthJersey.com.
The store at 700 Broadway in Bergen County has already begun its liquidation sale.
This final location in Westwood Plaza follows a string of closures across the state as the chain attempts to stay afloat in the age of online consumerism.
New Jersey had 11 stores before Sears Holdings Corporation, which operates Kmart, closed them over the past five years. The most recent Kmart closings were in Avenel in 2022, and Kearny and Belleville in 2021.
Many of the closed New Jersey Kmarts have been converted in the past few years into other popular stores, like ShopRite, Target, Marshalls and HomeGoods, as well as entertainment complexes.
Transformco, which owns Sears Holdings Corporations, set plans to shutter 45 Kmart locations in 2019. Sears, which operates Kmart, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy a year before.
The United States used to have more than 2,000 Kmart stores. Once this New Jersey location closes, there will be only two Kmart locations nationwide: Kmart Miami and Kmart Bridgehampton in Long Island, N.Y.
