Testosterone is a crucial hormone for men and plays an important role throughout the male lifespan. Most of a male's testosterone is produced through the testicles. Also called the male sex hormone, testosterone starts playing its part during puberty.
When a male goes through puberty, testosterone helps males develop:
As boys turn to men and men grow older, testosterone levels deplete naturally. Sometimes, events like injuries and chronic health conditions like diabetes can lower testosterone levels. Unfortunately, when a man loses too much T, it results in hypogonadism. When this happens, the testosterone must be replaced, or the male will suffer from symptoms like muscle loss, low libido, and even depression.
TRT is exactly what it sounds like: a treatment option for men that replaces testosterone so that your body regulates hormones properly and restores balance to your life. Also called androgen replacement therapy, TRT alleviates the symptoms that men experience with low T.
Originally lab-synthesized in 1935, testosterone has grown in popularity since it was produced. Today, TRT and other testosterone treatments are among the most popular prescriptions in the U.S.
Without getting too deep into the science, TRT works by giving your body the essential testosterone it needs to function correctly. As the primary androgen for both males and females, testosterone impacts many of the body's natural processes â especially those needed for overall health. For example, men with low T are more prone to serious problems like cardiovascular disease and even type-2 diabetes.
When your body quits making enough testosterone, it causes your health to suffer until a solution is presented. That's where TRT and anti-aging medicine for men can help. TRT helps balance your hormones and replenish your depleted testosterone. With time, your body will begin to heal, and many symptoms like low libido and irritability begin to diminish.
For men, aging is the biggest contributor to lower testosterone levels, though there are other causes like obesity, drug abuse, testicular injuries, and certain prescribed medications. Sometimes, long-term health conditions like AIDS, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease can lower testosterone levels.
When a man's testosterone levels drop significantly, it alters his body's ratio of estrogen and testosterone. Lower testosterone levels cause more abdominal fat, which in turn results in increased aromatase, which converts even more testosterone into estrogen.
If you're concerned that you might have low T, you're not alone. Millions of men in the U.S. feel the same way. The best way to find out if your testosterone is low is to get your levels tested.
For sustainable testosterone replacement therapy benefits, you must consult with hormone doctors and experts like those you can find at Global Life Rejuvenation. That way, you can find the root cause of your hormone problems, and our team can craft a personalized HRT plan tailored to your needs.
One of the most common reasons that men choose TRT is because they have lost that "spark" with their partner. It's not easy for a man to hear that they're not performing like they used to. Intimacy is a powerful part of any relationship. When a once-healthy sex life dwindles, it can cause serious relationship issues.
The good news is that low libido doesn't have to be a permanent problem. TRT and anti-aging medicines help revert hormone levels back into their normal range. When this happens, many men have a more enjoyable life full of intimacy and sex drive.
Weak erections â it's an uncomfortable subject for many men in the U.S. to talk about. It's even worse to experience first-hand. You're in the midst of an intimate moment, and you can't do your part. Despite being perfectly normal, many men put blame and shame upon themselves when they can't achieve an erection. And while the inability to perform sexually can be caused by poor diet, obesity, and chronic health conditions, low testosterone is often a contributing factor.
Fortunately, weak erections are a treatable condition. The best way to regain your confidence and ability in bed is to speak with your doctor. Once any underlying conditions are discovered, options like TRT may be the best course of treatment.
Do you find it harder and harder to work out and lift weights in the gym? Are you having problems lifting heavy items that you once had no problem lifting?
Recent studies show that when men are inactive, they lose .5% of muscle strength every year, from ages 25 to 60. After 60, muscle loss doubles every decade. While some muscle loss is common as men age, a significant portion can be tied to low testosterone levels. When a man's T levels drop, so does his muscle mass.
Testosterone is a much-needed component used in gaining and retaining muscle mass. That's why many doctors prescribe TRT Boca Raton, FL, for men having problems with strength. One recent study found that men who increased their testosterone levels using TRT gained as much as 2.5 pounds of muscle mass.
Whether your gym performance is lacking, or you can't lift heavy items like you used to, don't blame it all on age. You could be suffering from hypogonadism.
If you're like millions of other men in their late 20s and 30s, dealing with hair loss is a reality you don't want to face. Closely related to testosterone decline and hormone imbalances, hair loss is distressing for many men. This common symptom is often related to a derivative of testosterone called DHT. Excess amounts of DHT cause hair follicles to halt their production, causing follicles to die.
Because hair located at the front and crown is more sensitive to DHT, it grows slower than other follicles and eventually stops growing permanently. Thankfully, TRT and anti-aging treatments for men in Boca Raton, FL, is now available to address hair loss for good.
While it's true that you can't change your genes, you can change the effects of low testosterone on your body. Whether you're suffering from thinning hair or hair loss across your entire head, TRT and other hormone therapies can stop hair loss and even reverse the process.
Also called "man boobs," gynecomastia is essentially the enlargement of male breast tissue. This increase in fatty tissue is often caused by hormonal imbalances and an increase in estrogen. For men, estrogen levels are elevated during andropause. Also called male menopause, andropause usually happens because of a lack of testosterone.
If you're a man between the ages of 40 and 55, and you're embarrassed by having large breasts, don't lose hope. TRT is a safe, effective way to eliminate the underlying cause of gynecomastia without invasive surgery. With a custom HRT and fitness program, you can bring your testosterone and estrogen levels back to normal before you know it.
Decreased energy was once considered a normal part of aging. Today, many doctors know better. Advances in technology and our understanding of testosterone show that low T and lack of energy often go hand-in-hand.
If you're struggling to enjoy activities like playing with your kids or hiking in a park due to lack of energy, it could be a sign of low T. Of course, getting tired is perfectly normal for any man. But if you're suffering from continual fatigue, a lack of enjoyment, or a decrease in energy, it might be time to speak with a doctor.
Whether you're having a tough time getting through your day or can't finish activities you used to love, TRT could help.
A study from 2011 showed that men who lose a week's worth of sleep can experience lowered testosterone levels â as much as 15%, according to experts. Additional research into the topic found almost 15% of workers only get five hours of sleep (or less) per night. These findings suggest that sleep loss negatively impacts T levels and wellbeing.
The bottom line is that men who have trouble sleeping often suffer from lower testosterone levels as a result. If you find yourself exhausted at the end of the day but toss and turn all night long, you might have low T.
TRT and anti-aging medicines can restore your T levels back to normal, which can help you sleep better with proper diet and exercise.
You're feeling down about everything, and there's no solid explanation for why you're in such a crummy mood. Your daily life is great and full of success, but you can't help but feel unexcited and unmotivated. If you're experiencing symptoms like these, you may be depressed â and it may stem from low testosterone.
A research study from Munich found that men with depression also commonly had low testosterone levels. This same study also found that depressed men had cortisol levels that were 67% higher than other men. Because higher cortisol levels lead to lower levels of testosterone, the chances of severe depression increase.
Depression is a very real disorder and should always be diagnosed and treated by your doctor. One treatment option gaining in popularity is TRT for depression. Studies show that when TRT is used to restore hormone levels, men enjoy a lighter, more improved mood. That's great news for men who are depressed and have not had success with other treatments like anti-depression medicines, which alter the brain's chemistry.
Ask anyone over the age of 50 how their memory is, and they'll tell you it wasn't what it used to be. Memory loss and lack of concentration occur naturally as we age â these aren't always signs of dementia or Alzheimer's.
However, what many men consider a symptom of age may be caused by low testosterone. A 2006 study found that males with low T levels performed poorly on cognitive skill tests. These results suggest that low testosterone may play a part in reducing cognitive ability. If you're having trouble staying on task or remembering what your schedule is for the day, it might not be due to your age. It might be because your testosterone levels are too low. If you're having trouble concentrating or remembering daily tasks, it could be time to talk to your doctor.
Why? The aforementioned study found that participating men experienced improved cognitive skills when using TRT.
Even though today's society is more inclusive of large people, few adults enjoy gaining weight as they age. Despite their best efforts, many men just can't shed the extra pounds around their midsections, increasing their risk of heart disease and cancer.
Often, male weight gain is caused by hormone imbalances that slow the metabolism and cause weight to pile on. This phase of life is called andropause and happens when there is a lack of testosterone in the body. Couple that with high cortisol levels, and you've got a recipe for flabby guts and double chins.
Fortunately, TRT treatments and physician-led weight loss programs can correct hormone imbalances and lead to healthy weight loss for men.
Sermorelin is a synthetic hormone peptide, like GHRH, which triggers the release of growth hormones. When used under the care of a qualified physician, Sermorelin can help you lose weight, increase your energy levels, and help you feel much younger.
Human growth hormone (HGH) therapy has been used for years to treat hormone deficiencies. Unlike HGH, which directly replaces declining human growth hormone levels, Sermorelin addresses the underlying cause of decreased HGH, stimulating the pituitary gland naturally. This approach keeps the mechanisms of growth hormone production active.
Benefits of Sermorelin include:
Ipamorelin helps to release growth hormones in a person's body by mimicking a peptide called ghrelin. Ghrelin is one of three hormones which work together to regulate the growth hormone levels released by the pituitary gland. Because Ipamorelin stimulates the body to produce growth hormone, your body won't stop its natural growth hormone production, which occurs with synthetic HGH.
Ipamorelin causes growth hormone secretion that resembles natural release patterns rather than being constantly elevated from HGH. Because ipamorelin stimulates the natural production of growth hormone, our patients can use this treatment long-term with fewer health risks.
One of the biggest benefits of Ipamorelin is that it is suitable for both men and women. It provides significant short and long-term benefits in age management therapies, boosting patients' overall health, wellbeing, and outlook on life. When growth hormone is produced by the pituitary gland using Ipamorelin, clients report amazing benefits.
Some of those benefits include:

It’s an in-state rivalry as Central Florida makes the short trip to match up against Florida Atlantic.
The Knights will utilize their extra day of preparation in this matchup after losing to Louisville, 20-14, last Friday. The Central Florida offense took a 14-7 lead early in the second quarter before being held scoreless over the final 40 minutes. It was the Knights’ first loss in the Bounce House since 2020.
Now they match up against a sneaky Florida Atlantic team that is 2-1 on the season. The defense has shown significant improvement from a group that allowed over 400 yards of offense last season.
But is that improvement just a product of a soft schedule?
The Knights will look to put that to the test, as they attempt to bounce back from their home loss to Louisville.
Over recent years, Central Florida has owned a high tempo, fast-paced offensive scheme that loves to push the ball down the field. Finding explosive plays while mixing in a bruising running game was the staple of the program.
The offense appeared to be revived in Week 1 during a 56-10 thrashing of South Carolina State.
But last week, the offense completely stalled for much of the game against Louisville’s defense. The group was held without points on its final 10 drives after starting with touchdowns on two of its first three possessions.
John Rhys Plumlee looked out of sorts and completed just 16-of-34 passes for 131 yards — averaging only 3.9 yards per attempt.
The rushing game was efficient, putting up 5.5 yards per carry and finding paydirt twice.
Through two games, the UCF offense ranks outside the top 100 in Passing Success Rate and Finishing Drives.
Several players have preached that the offense would rebound in a big way against FAU this week. And I believe it.
The Knights’ defense was mediocre on Friday night against an explosive Louisville offense. They held Malik Cunningham to 6.9 yards per pass attempt, but he was able to expose them with his legs, rushing for 121 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown.
FAU quarterback N’Kosi Perry also possesses dual-threat ability, but he won’t see nearly as many designed runs as Cunningham did.
Florida Atlantic laid an egg down the stretch last season, allowing 35 points per game over its final four games. The defense was expected to be the anchor of this program after returning 53% of its production, according to TARP.
Through three games, the unit has been a mixed bag.
It held a Charlotte offense — which was without its starting quarterback for much of the game — to 13 points. The group dominated Southeastern LA, holding it to less than 250 yards of offense and nine points.
But a mediocre Ohio offense thrashed the Owls’ defense for nearly 350 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Now Florida Atlantic will need to formulate a plan to slow down Plumlee and the UCF high-tempo offense.
The Owls will likely stick with their 3-4 defensive scheme and utilize cornerback Jayden Williams to bring pressure from the outside. Williams leads the team in sacks despite lining up at the cornerback position.
The FAU offense will need to carry the load to keep the Owls competitive in this matchup. Through three games, the Owls have averaged 41 points per game with a well-balanced attack.
Fifth-year senior Perry will need to keep his hot streak alive after tossing nine touchdowns to two interceptions on the season. He’s averaging 9.5 yards per pass attempt this season and has rushed for another two touchdowns.
Toggle the dropdowns below to hide or show how UCF and Florida Atlantic match up statistically:
We’re at an interesting point early in the season where some advanced metrics may be skewed. I can assure you that Florida Atlantic does not own a top-10 offense in the country, and Central Florida’s offense isn’t in the bottom-100.
Much of that is because Florida Atlantic has played nobody.
The Owls are averaging an impressive 41 points per game, but they’ve matched up against the 105th-ranked Ohio defense, the 128th-ranked Charlotte defense and an FCS defense.
Now they face a major step up in class against a fired up Central Florida group who will want to avenge last week’s defeat.
The Knights will come into this game inspired to find their offensive groove again. The high-tempo offense is like a train, once it gets going it becomes almost impossible to slow down.
Plumlee is poised to bounce back from his lackluster effort in a big way. I have Central Florida as a double-digit favorite, and I will be playing it all the way up to that number.

The most asked question about a medical malpractice attorney is: what does he do?
Here are some services that an experienced medical malpractice attorney can provide for you:
1) Helping you understand your legal options: Medical malpractice law is complex and confusing. An experienced medical malpractice lawyer can help you understand your legal options and make informed decisions about how to proceed with your case.
2) Explaining your rights: You have rights under state and federal laws when filing a medical malpractice claim against a doctor or other health care professional who has injured you while treating you. A good lawyer will explain these rights to you so that you know what steps to take next to protect yourself from future harm by doctors who have proven negligent in their care of patients.
3) Negotiating with insurance companies: Insurance companies do not want to pay large sums of money in damages for claims involving alleged malpractice by doctors.
Another question about Boca Raton medical malpractice attorney is:
How do you know if you have a medical malpractice case?
The answer is that you need to find out if your doctor's negligence played a role in causing you harm. Because many patients are unaware of the details of their care, this feature can be challenging. Additionally, because some medical procedures are complicated and challenging to comprehend, patients may not recognize when someone else's negligence has caused them harm.
If you believe your doctor has harmed you, speak with Grossman Attorneys at Law as soon as possible to discuss your situation and see if you have a case.

UPDATED 5 p.m. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2022
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Fiona is now a hurricane. The National Hurricane Center upgraded the storm at 5 p.m. ET Sunday. The system is expected to remain off Florida’s coast, but could cause problems for The Bahamas.
This is the Sunday evening advisory from the National Hurricane Center:
Hurricane Fiona Discussion Number 18 NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL AL072022 500 PM AST Sun Sep 18 2022
The eye of Fiona made landfall over extreme southwestern Puerto Rico around 1920 UTC, and the center of the hurricane is now moving into the Mona Passage between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Earlier observations from Hurricane Hunter aircraft and WSR-88D radar velocity data indicate that the maximum winds were near 75 kt. Since there has been little change in the organization of the system since the aircraft missions earlier today, the intensity is kept at that value for now. A NOAA Saildrone went through the eye of Hurricane Fiona earlier today and the data from that vessel indicated a minimum central pressure of 986 mb. Another Air Force Hurricane Hunter mission into Fiona is scheduled for this evening.
The hurricane will be moving through a fairly moist air mass and over SSTs warmer than 29 deg C for the next few days. It should be noted that the SHIPS output shows 15-20 kt of vertical wind shear over Fiona for the next several days. However that same guidance model shows steady strengthening with the system becoming a major hurricane in about 48 hours. Based on the bulk of the numerical guidance, the official intensity forecast is increased slightly from the previous NHC prediction, and is near or a little below the model consensus.
Center fixes indicate that Fiona’s motion is between west-northwest and northwest, or about 305/8 kt. There has been little change to the track model guidance, which is fairly tightly clustered albeit with some differences in forward speed. The cyclone should move along the western periphery of a subtropical high pressure area for the next 3-4 days. Later in the forecast period, Fiona is expected to accelerate northeastward and north-northeastward as it encounter the faster high-latitude flow. The official track forecast has not been changed significantly, and remains in close agreement with the TVCA dynamical model.

BOCA RATON — A 14-acre stretch of land from the beach to the Intracoastal on Ocean Boulevard has been sitting dormant for 28 years. Soon, it will be known as Ocean Strand Park.
The Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District bought the land at 2300 N. Ocean Blvd. in 1994. City officials envisioned turning it into a public park that would accentuate the area’s natural beauty.
"When you go there, it's like walking back in time almost," said Briann Harms, executive director of the Beach & Park District, reminiscing on the homes once spread across the property when it was developed.
"You forget that you're in South Florida for a minute because you're surrounded by trees, you're surrounded by the sounds of birds and nature and wildlife."
After its purchase, those homes were taken down and the land remained gated as a vacant lot. But in early August, Beach & Park District officials completed the permitting process required to move forward with the park's development, which took two years.
The process lasted longer than District Commissioner Erin Wright had anticipated, but Boca Raton city officials are diligent when it comes to permitting, she said. That, and archaeological remains of pottery dating back to 800 AD were found on the site.
Archaeological digs are not always required by city officials, Harms said, but typically produce the best results in coastal communities, where objects tend to wash up. Harms plans on proposing displaying the pottery at the Boca Raton Historical Society, but if the team there does not accept the pieces, they will be preserved at one of Boca Raton's parks or community centers, she said.
Harms predicts Ocean Strand will be completed by the new year. Though work on the park will start this month, heavy machinery is not permitted on the land because of the archaeological finds. So everything that's being done now, such as the invasive plant removal requested by city officials, must happen manually, extending the process.
When Wright proposed Ocean Strand, the project's budget was $100,000. Today, the number has risen to $300,000, she said.
But that could change with the national recognition the park has garnered so far, even before its completion — and the price that comes with it.
Currently, Ocean Strand Park is fifth in place, out of 10 contestants, for the Niagara "Perk Your Park" Project. If Ocean Strand wins, $75,000 would be awarded toward the park's cost, Wright said. Park officials expect to know the winners on or around Oct. 20
An award such as this one certainly could help taxpayers, such as Dave Petruzzelli, who has lived in Boca Raton his entire life, even supporting the acquisition of the land for the park back in the 1990s.
"It was an excellent piece for preservation and passive use," Petruzzelli said. "It really helps complete the natural area that surrounds Lake Wyman, … and it's really kind of like land that time forgot, just kind of a lot of people don't even realize it's there. It's absolutely gorgeous."
Pettruzzelli, 61, plans to enjoy the park daily, primarily by walking its trail, which is near his home. But he also hopes others in the area will take advantage of the hidden gem.
The park is in Phase 1 right now, meaning the work will focus on natural walking trails through the mangroves, ADA accessibility and educational opportunities. Future phases could bring electricity and running water to the park, as well as picnic tables, a kayak launch and space for parking.

Discount grocer Aldi opened its newest South Florida store on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 4901 Federal Highway in Boca Raton. It will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Germany-based chain has been aggressively expanding in Florida and throughout the United States in recent years. It’s on track to opening 150 new stores and become the third largest U.S. grocery retailer by the end of the year, according to a news release.
With the latest opening, Aldi now has 203 stores in Florida and 2,237 nationwide. Its other Boca Raton store is at 21759 State Road 7.
Aldi is known for its exclusive brands, typically priced far below competing products, and its weekly lineup of limited-time “Aldi finds.”
To keep prices and labor costs low, the chain requires customers to deposit a quarter to use its shopping carts (and return the carts to the front of the store to get their quarters back) and to bag their own groceries.
The first 100 customers to the new Boca Raton store received a gift bag with a sampling of “Aldi Fan Favorite” products. They also received a free gift card worth either $10, $25 or $100.
Sunrise-based wellness chain Pure Green has opened a new location at 324 Plaza Real in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park.
Founded in 2014, the chain has since opened 23 stores around the country, including seven in Florida. It’s known for “immunity boosting” smoothies, cold pressed juices, cleanses, wellness shots, acai and pitaya bowls and more.
Opening of the new store, the company’s second in Boca Raton, follows the expansion of Pure Green’s headquarters in a 4,000 square-foot space. The headquarters includes a Pure Green store where the company trains new franchisees.
Speaking of aggressive expansions, it seems like yesterday that South Florida was eagerly awaiting our first Wawa convenience store and gas station. Now you can barely drive for 10 minutes without passing one.
The Pennsylvania-based company celebrated the grand opening of its latest South Florida location on Sept. 8 at 2 W. Sunrise Blvd., less than three blocks west of the intersection of West Sunrise and Andrews Avenue, in Fort Lauderdale.
By now, Wawa customers know what earned the chain such a devoted following in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states: competitively priced gas, prepared-to-order foods such as hoagies, burgers, and burritos, a big selection of coffee, plus pastries, beers, sodas and private-label packaged snacks.
The newest location is Wawa’s 35th in the Miami metro area, including Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. Three more are planned to open in Pompano Beach, Oakland Park and Hollywood before the end of the year.
Wireless Zone, a retailer for popular cellular provider Verizon, has opened at 7204 W. McNab Road in North Lauderdale.
The new location is owned by a group called JH Cellular, which operates nine other Wireless Zones across the state. There are 26 Wireless Zones now in operation in Florida, including those owned by other franchisees, and 447 located across the U.S., the company’s website shows.
According to a news release, Wireless Zone “offers customers optimal experiences in interactivity while shopping for wireless devices, accessories and home solutions and is designed as a destination for guests to get hands-on experience with the latest wireless devices.”
Consumers in Palm Beach County who are considering installing rooftop solar panels are invited to join Solar United Neighbors’ latest solar co-op.
Co-op participants are not required to purchase systems but can attend solar workshops and take advantage of S.U.N.’s exhaustive database of advice and information about residential solar systems.
For those who plan to invest in a rooftop system, joining the co-op offers an opportunity to take advantage of bulk-rate pricing. Once the number of co-op participants are known, the co-op will solicit bids from well-regarded solar installation companies and leverage the number of purchasers to get a lower price than consumers can get on their own.
This year, enthusiasm for rooftop solar in Florida has been boosted by two key events: One was Gov. Ron DeSantis decision to veto a legislative bill that would have allowed utilities to reduce buy-back rates for excess energy generated by residents’ rooftop solar systems.
The other was the Biden Administration’s increase of the federal tax credit allotted to rooftop solar owners installations from 26% to 30 % of the total installation price over 10 years. Consumers who purchase a system through S.U.N.’s co-op typically save about 20% compared to purchasing a system by themselves, the organization said.
For more information about joining a solar co-op in Florida, go to solarunitedneighbors.org/co-ops/florida and select one of the counties from the list of co-op links.
