TRT - Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Cary, NC

Let's Talk!

 HRT For Men Cary, NC

What is Testosterone?

Testosterone is a crucial hormone for men and plays an important role throughout the male lifespan. Most of a male's testosterone is produced through the testicles. Also called the male sex hormone, testosterone starts playing its part during puberty.

When a male goes through puberty, testosterone helps males develop:

  • Facial Hair
  • Body Hair
  • Deeper Voice
  • Muscle Strength
  • Increased Libido
  • Muscle Density

As boys turn to men and men grow older, testosterone levels deplete naturally. Sometimes, events like injuries and chronic health conditions like diabetes can lower testosterone levels. Unfortunately, when a man loses too much T, it results in hypogonadism. When this happens, the testosterone must be replaced, or the male will suffer from symptoms like muscle loss, low libido, and even depression.

How Does TRT Work?

TRT is exactly what it sounds like: a treatment option for men that replaces testosterone so that your body regulates hormones properly and restores balance to your life. Also called androgen replacement therapy, TRT alleviates the symptoms that men experience with low T.

Originally lab-synthesized in 1935, testosterone has grown in popularity since it was produced. Today, TRT and other testosterone treatments are among the most popular prescriptions in the U.S.

Without getting too deep into the science, TRT works by giving your body the essential testosterone it needs to function correctly. As the primary androgen for both males and females, testosterone impacts many of the body's natural processes – especially those needed for overall health. For example, men with low T are more prone to serious problems like cardiovascular disease and even type-2 diabetes.

When your body quits making enough testosterone, it causes your health to suffer until a solution is presented. That's where TRT and anti-aging medicine for men can help. TRT helps balance your hormones and replenish your depleted testosterone. With time, your body will begin to heal, and many symptoms like low libido and irritability begin to diminish.

What Causes Low T?

For men, aging is the biggest contributor to lower testosterone levels, though there are other causes like obesity, drug abuse, testicular injuries, and certain prescribed medications. Sometimes, long-term health conditions like AIDS, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease can lower testosterone levels.

When a man's testosterone levels drop significantly, it alters his body's ratio of estrogen and testosterone. Lower testosterone levels cause more abdominal fat, which in turn results in increased aromatase, which converts even more testosterone into estrogen.

If you're concerned that you might have low T, you're not alone. Millions of men in the U.S. feel the same way. The best way to find out if your testosterone is low is to get your levels tested.

For sustainable testosterone replacement therapy benefits, you must consult with hormone doctors and experts like those you can find at Global Life Rejuvenation. That way, you can find the root cause of your hormone problems, and our team can craft a personalized HRT plan tailored to your needs.

Low Sex Drive

One of the most common reasons that men choose TRT is because they have lost that "spark" with their partner. It's not easy for a man to hear that they're not performing like they used to. Intimacy is a powerful part of any relationship. When a once-healthy sex life dwindles, it can cause serious relationship issues.

The good news is that low libido doesn't have to be a permanent problem. TRT and anti-aging medicines help revert hormone levels back into their normal range. When this happens, many men have a more enjoyable life full of intimacy and sex drive.

Inability to Achieve and Maintain an Erection

Weak erections – it's an uncomfortable subject for many men in the U.S. to talk about. It's even worse to experience first-hand. You're in the midst of an intimate moment, and you can't do your part. Despite being perfectly normal, many men put blame and shame upon themselves when they can't achieve an erection. And while the inability to perform sexually can be caused by poor diet, obesity, and chronic health conditions, low testosterone is often a contributing factor.

Fortunately, weak erections are a treatable condition. The best way to regain your confidence and ability in bed is to speak with your doctor. Once any underlying conditions are discovered, options like TRT may be the best course of treatment.

Loss of Strength and Muscle Mass

Do you find it harder and harder to work out and lift weights in the gym? Are you having problems lifting heavy items that you once had no problem lifting?

Recent studies show that when men are inactive, they lose .5% of muscle strength every year, from ages 25 to 60. After 60, muscle loss doubles every decade. While some muscle loss is common as men age, a significant portion can be tied to low testosterone levels. When a man's T levels drop, so does his muscle mass.

Testosterone is a much-needed component used in gaining and retaining muscle mass. That's why many doctors prescribe TRT Cary, NC, for men having problems with strength. One recent study found that men who increased their testosterone levels using TRT gained as much as 2.5 pounds of muscle mass.

Whether your gym performance is lacking, or you can't lift heavy items like you used to, don't blame it all on age. You could be suffering from hypogonadism.

Hair Loss

If you're like millions of other men in their late 20s and 30s, dealing with hair loss is a reality you don't want to face. Closely related to testosterone decline and hormone imbalances, hair loss is distressing for many men. This common symptom is often related to a derivative of testosterone called DHT. Excess amounts of DHT cause hair follicles to halt their production, causing follicles to die.

Because hair located at the front and crown is more sensitive to DHT, it grows slower than other follicles and eventually stops growing permanently. Thankfully, TRT and anti-aging treatments for men in Cary, NC, is now available to address hair loss for good.

While it's true that you can't change your genes, you can change the effects of low testosterone on your body. Whether you're suffering from thinning hair or hair loss across your entire head, TRT and other hormone therapies can stop hair loss and even reverse the process.

Also called "man boobs," gynecomastia is essentially the enlargement of male breast tissue. This increase in fatty tissue is often caused by hormonal imbalances and an increase in estrogen. For men, estrogen levels are elevated during andropause. Also called male menopause, andropause usually happens because of a lack of testosterone.

If you're a man between the ages of 40 and 55, and you're embarrassed by having large breasts, don't lose hope. TRT is a safe, effective way to eliminate the underlying cause of gynecomastia without invasive surgery. With a custom HRT and fitness program, you can bring your testosterone and estrogen levels back to normal before you know it.

Decreased Energy

Decreased energy was once considered a normal part of aging. Today, many doctors know better. Advances in technology and our understanding of testosterone show that low T and lack of energy often go hand-in-hand.

If you're struggling to enjoy activities like playing with your kids or hiking in a park due to lack of energy, it could be a sign of low T. Of course, getting tired is perfectly normal for any man. But if you're suffering from continual fatigue, a lack of enjoyment, or a decrease in energy, it might be time to speak with a doctor.

Whether you're having a tough time getting through your day or can't finish activities you used to love, TRT could help.

Lack of Sleep

A study from 2011 showed that men who lose a week's worth of sleep can experience lowered testosterone levels – as much as 15%, according to experts. Additional research into the topic found almost 15% of workers only get five hours of sleep (or less) per night. These findings suggest that sleep loss negatively impacts T levels and wellbeing.

The bottom line is that men who have trouble sleeping often suffer from lower testosterone levels as a result. If you find yourself exhausted at the end of the day but toss and turn all night long, you might have low T.

TRT and anti-aging medicines can restore your T levels back to normal, which can help you sleep better with proper diet and exercise.

You're feeling down about everything, and there's no solid explanation for why you're in such a crummy mood. Your daily life is great and full of success, but you can't help but feel unexcited and unmotivated. If you're experiencing symptoms like these, you may be depressed – and it may stem from low testosterone.

A research study from Munich found that men with depression also commonly had low testosterone levels. This same study also found that depressed men had cortisol levels that were 67% higher than other men. Because higher cortisol levels lead to lower levels of testosterone, the chances of severe depression increase.

Depression is a very real disorder and should always be diagnosed and treated by your doctor. One treatment option gaining in popularity is TRT for depression. Studies show that when TRT is used to restore hormone levels, men enjoy a lighter, more improved mood. That's great news for men who are depressed and have not had success with other treatments like anti-depression medicines, which alter the brain's chemistry.

Inability to Concentrate

Ask anyone over the age of 50 how their memory is, and they'll tell you it wasn't what it used to be. Memory loss and lack of concentration occur naturally as we age – these aren't always signs of dementia or Alzheimer's.

However, what many men consider a symptom of age may be caused by low testosterone. A 2006 study found that males with low T levels performed poorly on cognitive skill tests. These results suggest that low testosterone may play a part in reducing cognitive ability. If you're having trouble staying on task or remembering what your schedule is for the day, it might not be due to your age. It might be because your testosterone levels are too low. If you're having trouble concentrating or remembering daily tasks, it could be time to talk to your doctor.

Why? The aforementioned study found that participating men experienced improved cognitive skills when using TRT.

 TRT Cary, NC

Weight Gain

Even though today's society is more inclusive of large people, few adults enjoy gaining weight as they age. Despite their best efforts, many men just can't shed the extra pounds around their midsections, increasing their risk of heart disease and cancer.

Often, male weight gain is caused by hormone imbalances that slow the metabolism and cause weight to pile on. This phase of life is called andropause and happens when there is a lack of testosterone in the body. Couple that with high cortisol levels, and you've got a recipe for flabby guts and double chins.

Fortunately, TRT treatments and physician-led weight loss programs can correct hormone imbalances and lead to healthy weight loss for men.

What is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is a synthetic hormone peptide, like GHRH, which triggers the release of growth hormones. When used under the care of a qualified physician, Sermorelin can help you lose weight, increase your energy levels, and help you feel much younger.

 HRT For Men Cary, NC

Benefits of Sermorelin

Human growth hormone (HGH) therapy has been used for years to treat hormone deficiencies. Unlike HGH, which directly replaces declining human growth hormone levels, Sermorelin addresses the underlying cause of decreased HGH, stimulating the pituitary gland naturally. This approach keeps the mechanisms of growth hormone production active.

Benefits of Sermorelin include:

  • Better Immune Function
  • Improved Physical Performance
  • More Growth Hormone Production
  • Less Body Fat
  • Build More Lean Muscle
  • Better Sleep
 Human Growth Hormone Cary, NC

What is Ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin helps to release growth hormones in a person's body by mimicking a peptide called ghrelin. Ghrelin is one of three hormones which work together to regulate the growth hormone levels released by the pituitary gland. Because Ipamorelin stimulates the body to produce growth hormone, your body won't stop its natural growth hormone production, which occurs with synthetic HGH.

Ipamorelin causes growth hormone secretion that resembles natural release patterns rather than being constantly elevated from HGH. Because ipamorelin stimulates the natural production of growth hormone, our patients can use this treatment long-term with fewer health risks.

Cary leaders are considering a proposed development in the Green Level community that would turn 30 vacant acres into a residential and commercial district.

The Viridis project proposes up to 1,300 housing units, which could include apartments or townhomes, and a nursing home or a continuing care center on Green Level West Road near N.C. 540.

The project also could contain up to 20,000 square feet of commercial space, 225,000 square feet of office space, and a hotel with up to 125 rooms.

If approved, Viridis would be built across the street from a proposed 500-bed hospital beside the existing Duke Health Green Level complex that now has primary and specialty care offices.

The project is also located next to another proposal, Bel Canto, which could add up to 700 more multi-family homes to the area.

The Cary Town Council got its first look at the project April 13 and referred it to the town’s Planning and Zoning Board, which will make its recommendation at a later date.

Here’s what we know about the project so far.

Viridis would share some characteristics with Fenton, the 92-acre mixed-use district with restaurants, retailers and a movie theater that opened in Cary last year.

The Green Level project is primarily residential, however, unlike Fenton.

The Halle Companies, a Triangle-based real estate firm, submitted the proposal for the Viridis project to add more options for West Cary.

They want to divide the project into six pods, according to Rob Wilson, a planning manager for Cary.

? Pods 1 to 4 and pod 6 would include buildings four to eight stories tall. These buildings could be residential, commercial or office spaces.

? Pod 5 would include open space and a possible one-story park structure like a gazebo or picnic shelter.

The developers also propose adding three connections to the White Oak Greenway along the southern border of the area.

There will also be more additions to Green Level West Road, including widening the road from two lanes to four with a median.

The utility lines along Green level West Road would be placed underground, Wilson said.

The proposal puts buildings close to the street, with benches, sitting walls, bike racks, street lamps, art, outdoor dining, plotted plants and landscaping enhancing the appearance of the area.

Wilson said other design commitments include:

Cary residents living within 800 feet of the properties were notified of the proposed Viridis development by mail, through posts on the property and through the town’s website.

There was a virtual meeting in August 2021, the first, between The Halle Companies and three residents who had concerns about development. In December, The Halle Companies joined the other applicants for Duke Health and Bel Canto to share information with the Town Council and hear concerns.

Some of them included:

At last week’s meeting, Kelly Jackson asked if there would be buffers between the taller housing buildings and the existing homes.

She also had a concern about the traffic along Green Level West Road.

“It’s going to four lanes when I’m already having to cross two lanes to get to my mailbox and back, it’s like playing Frogger every day,” Jackson said.

She asked the council if the mailboxes could be moved once the road is expanded to four lanes.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Town of Cary have launched a self-driving shuttle called CASSI that will operate at Bond Park.

And they’re off! #NCDOT and #Cary officials celebrated the launch of the self-driving CASSI in Bond Park today. People can ride the shuttle for free and see the future of public transit. CASSI’s in Cary until 6/2. Learn more

— NCDOT (@NCDOT) March 14, 2023

CASSI stands for Connected Autonomous Shuttle Supporting Innovation. Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht said by using electric power, the CASSI shuttle will reduce the city’s carbon footprint.

“It will help us mitigate the effects of climate change, and that’s a big goal for Cary," he said.

CASSI is free to ride and will make four stops on a fixed route using remote-sensing laser technology. Those stops include Cary Senior Center and Bond Park Community Center.

A similar shuttle was previously piloted in Raleigh and Kill Devil Hills. While the eight-seat shuttle does not have a driver, a trained attendant will always be present to assist passengers and can take over in case of an emergency.

Jerry Jensen, Cary's director of transportation, said this technology is already present in the U.S. and globally.

“And, we feel like this particular type of technology could be very valuable to support our transit services in Cary and will be a supplement to it," he said.

This CASSI program, a three-month pilot, follows Governor Roy Cooper's executive order for NCDOT to develop a plan for increased access to clean transportation options.

CASSI will run weekdays until June 2.

So far, 2023 has given Triangle diners lots to explore. The newest local restaurants include multiple ramen shops, cozy cocktail bars and some of the year’s most anticipated openings.

Here is The News & Observer’s running list of new restaurants and bars to open in 2023.

? Bombolo — 764 MLK Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill. 919-914-6374 or

The brother and sister team behind the popular barbecue brand Big Belly Que opened this new Euro-centric Chapel Hill restaurant in February. At Garret Fleming and Eleanor Lacy’s Bombolo, the menu and vibe lean Italian, with fresh housemade pastas and grilled seafood. But the restaurant does not characterize itself as Italian and separates itself with a very serious plate of fried chicken and New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp.

? Corner Yaki — 530 Foster St., Suite 1D, Durham. 984-888-0048 or

As the newest vendor at the Durham Food Hall, owner Jen Kremer and chef Ray Williams continue their partnership with their third spot. Tucked in the corner of the food hall, near their pizzeria and bagel shop, Corner Yaki specializes in dumplings, ramen and bao buns.

In creating this menu, Williams said he added the kinds of dishes he craves all the time. On the buns you’ll find pork belly, karaage and fake crab, in the dumplings you’ll likely want to try the mapo tofu or the short ribs with mustard greens or crisp and clean chicken and ginger. Ramen fans will find chicken-based broth with roasted pork, or a miso with mushrooms and crispy tofu.

Corner Yaki is likely the most unexpected spot for french fries, but you might find your new favorite snack here, dusted with dashi powder.

? East End Bistrot — 2020 Progress Court, Suite 110, Raleigh. 984-281-8869 or

The latest restaurant from prolific restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias suggests fine dining is alive and well in this reemerging world. East End Bistrot marks a return to Raleigh for former Fins chef and owner William D’Auvray and serves refined versions of the French classics, with an emphasis on traditional service. You’ll find buttery Dover sole de-boned tableside, a warm and intimate patio and perhaps the reminder of what dining out used to feel like.

? Gen Ramen — 2330 Bale St., Suite 112, Raleigh. 919-720-4058 or

Raleigh’s newest ramen shop, Gen Ramen opened in the former Hightop Burger and Bendito space in McNeill Pointe. Look for highly customizable bowls of noodles and a sushi menu.

? Giorgio Pizza Bar — 141 Park at North Hills St., Suite 112, Raleigh. 919-809-8000 or

This new North Hills pizzeria from well-known restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias is the prolific restaurant owner’s most casual spot in years. Look for charcuterie spreads, familiar pizzas and bowls of pasta.

? Glori — 101 W. Main St., Suite Lo2, Durham.

A cozy and intimate new cocktail bar opened at the end of winter in downtown Durham’s Kress building. The signature cocktail list includes an espresso martini, the hottest drink in the land at the moment.

? Las Ramblas — 141 Park at North Hills St., Suite 100, Raleigh. 919-322-4338 or

The Triangle’s newest Spanish tapas bar, Las Ramblas is Giorgios Bakatsias ode to Barcelona, serving small bites like Bouillabaisse croquette, fresh raw oysters, burrata with figs and churros with chocolate dipping sauce.

? Leroy’s Taco Shop — 900 Park Offices Drive, Durham.

It’s possible the most fun restaurant of 2023 has already opened. The new school smoked meats shop Lawrence Barbecue has launched a new taco concept built on its most popular special of all time: a plate of smoked brisket birria tacos. But Leroy’s is more than birria, it’s carne asada with a bright and chunky chimichuri sauce, a heart-achingly flavorful cornbread tres leches cake and the hottest new michelada bar in the Triangle.

? Mango Indian Grill — 530 Foster St., Suite 1, Durham.

One of the newest vendors at the Durham Food Hall, Mango is the sister concept of Chapel Hill’s Cholanad Restaurant & Bar, specializing in South Indian cuisine. There are curries like tikka masala, saag paneer and coconut marinated Chettinad curry. On the snack side, Mango serves tandoor-baked chicken wings and fried samosas and the incredibly popular chicken 65.

? Midwood Smokehouse — 409 W. Johnson St., Raleigh. 919-267-2666 or

One of North Carolina’s most popular barbecue brands, Midwood Smokehouse was the runner-up in The News & Observer’s Barbecue Bracket in 2022. Built in Charlotte, Midwood Smokehouse serves a consistently solid array of the barbecue hits, from NC pork to Texas Brisket. Early this year, Midwood Smokehouse opened in Raleigh’s Smoky Hollow development as the brand’s first location out of the Charlotte area.

? PBR Cowboy Bar — 301 Fenton Gateway Drive, Cary. 919-363-8888 or

There’s a new mechanical bull in town. Fenton added the pro rodeo-themed Cowboy Bar, which wouldn’t be complete without a mechanical bull for visitors to try their hand.

? Premier Cakes Diner — 5 E. Edenton St., Raleigh, inside the North Carolina Museum of History

The latest addition to Raleigh’s General Assembly dining scene, the Premier Cakes Diner comes from Tracy and Bobby Outlaw who run the popular bakery of the same name. The diner branches out into savory dishes, so look for bags of fried chicken, Reubens, hot dogs and early morning breakfast sandwiches.

? Salty Turtle Beer Co. — 13100 Fall of Neuse Rd., Suite 130, Raleigh. 919-263-8880 or

This popular Surf City brewery opened a new Triangle taproom this year in North Raleigh. Situated in the Wakefield Crossings shopping center, the new beer bar offers 14 taps, including crispy drafts that might make you feel like the beach isn’t so far away.

? Sports & Social — 301 Fenton Gateway Drive, Cary. 919-363-8888 or

This new Fenton bar is without question the Triangle’s largest sports bar. You’ll find multiple bars and movie theater-sized screens showing the biggest national and local games.

? Tap Yard — 1610 Automotive Way, Raleigh.

Depending on how you measure it, Tap Yard might be Raleigh’s largest beer garden. Opened by Raleigh bar veteran Zack Medford, Tap Yard is an acre of beer garden bliss, offering two bars and a huge open backyard for frolicking and eventually live music.

? Urban Noodle — 4104 Surles Ct., Suite 4, Durham. 984-888-0348 or

Suddenly, Research Triangle Park is booming with restaurants. The latest addition is a noodle shop. Urban Noodle serves nine different styles of ramen, plus udon bowls and steamed buns.

? The Waiting Room — 300 Blackwell St., Suite 100, Durham.

A new cocktail bar on the American Tobacco Campus opened at the very beginning of 2023, with a name suggesting it aims to be a spot to try and stop time for a while. From co-owner Nick Singh of The Nomad and beverage director Buddy Maynard, The Waiting Room combines classic and inventive cocktails plus small plates in a narrow bar across the street from DPAC.

? Weldon Mills Distillery — 300 E. Main St., Suite 001, Durham. 919-238-4413 or

A major player in North Carolina’s burgeoning craft spirits scene, Weldon Mills just opened a new downtown Durham cocktail bar and distillery. The basement bar is a handsome spread of concrete beams, leather banquettes and velvet chairs, basically the perfect setting for sipping local whiskey.

? Yonderlust — 109 N. Gregson St., Durham.

This new Durham adventure store is also a six-days-a-week cafe, serving a full espresso bar and fresh squeezed juices.

? Zweli’s Ekhaya — 406 Blackwell St., Suite 100, Durham. 919-381-4128 or

From the owners of Zweli’s Kitchen, this upscale tapas-style restaurant opened at the end of March in Durham’s American Tobacco Campus. Owners Zweli and Leonardo Williams describe the menu as modern Bantu and African street food, with small plates like a smoky Zimbabwean Scotch egg and entrees like whole roasted fish with plantain tortillas.
