Testosterone is a crucial hormone for men and plays an important role throughout the male lifespan. Most of a male's testosterone is produced through the testicles. Also called the male sex hormone, testosterone starts playing its part during puberty.
When a male goes through puberty, testosterone helps males develop:
As boys turn to men and men grow older, testosterone levels deplete naturally. Sometimes, events like injuries and chronic health conditions like diabetes can lower testosterone levels. Unfortunately, when a man loses too much T, it results in hypogonadism. When this happens, the testosterone must be replaced, or the male will suffer from symptoms like muscle loss, low libido, and even depression.
TRT is exactly what it sounds like: a treatment option for men that replaces testosterone so that your body regulates hormones properly and restores balance to your life. Also called androgen replacement therapy, TRT alleviates the symptoms that men experience with low T.
Originally lab-synthesized in 1935, testosterone has grown in popularity since it was produced. Today, TRT and other testosterone treatments are among the most popular prescriptions in the U.S.
Without getting too deep into the science, TRT works by giving your body the essential testosterone it needs to function correctly. As the primary androgen for both males and females, testosterone impacts many of the body's natural processes â especially those needed for overall health. For example, men with low T are more prone to serious problems like cardiovascular disease and even type-2 diabetes.
When your body quits making enough testosterone, it causes your health to suffer until a solution is presented. That's where TRT and anti-aging medicine for men can help. TRT helps balance your hormones and replenish your depleted testosterone. With time, your body will begin to heal, and many symptoms like low libido and irritability begin to diminish.
For men, aging is the biggest contributor to lower testosterone levels, though there are other causes like obesity, drug abuse, testicular injuries, and certain prescribed medications. Sometimes, long-term health conditions like AIDS, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease can lower testosterone levels.
When a man's testosterone levels drop significantly, it alters his body's ratio of estrogen and testosterone. Lower testosterone levels cause more abdominal fat, which in turn results in increased aromatase, which converts even more testosterone into estrogen.
If you're concerned that you might have low T, you're not alone. Millions of men in the U.S. feel the same way. The best way to find out if your testosterone is low is to get your levels tested.
For sustainable testosterone replacement therapy benefits, you must consult with hormone doctors and experts like those you can find at Global Life Rejuvenation. That way, you can find the root cause of your hormone problems, and our team can craft a personalized HRT plan tailored to your needs.
One of the most common reasons that men choose TRT is because they have lost that "spark" with their partner. It's not easy for a man to hear that they're not performing like they used to. Intimacy is a powerful part of any relationship. When a once-healthy sex life dwindles, it can cause serious relationship issues.
The good news is that low libido doesn't have to be a permanent problem. TRT and anti-aging medicines help revert hormone levels back into their normal range. When this happens, many men have a more enjoyable life full of intimacy and sex drive.
Weak erections â it's an uncomfortable subject for many men in the U.S. to talk about. It's even worse to experience first-hand. You're in the midst of an intimate moment, and you can't do your part. Despite being perfectly normal, many men put blame and shame upon themselves when they can't achieve an erection. And while the inability to perform sexually can be caused by poor diet, obesity, and chronic health conditions, low testosterone is often a contributing factor.
Fortunately, weak erections are a treatable condition. The best way to regain your confidence and ability in bed is to speak with your doctor. Once any underlying conditions are discovered, options like TRT may be the best course of treatment.
Do you find it harder and harder to work out and lift weights in the gym? Are you having problems lifting heavy items that you once had no problem lifting?
Recent studies show that when men are inactive, they lose .5% of muscle strength every year, from ages 25 to 60. After 60, muscle loss doubles every decade. While some muscle loss is common as men age, a significant portion can be tied to low testosterone levels. When a man's T levels drop, so does his muscle mass.
Testosterone is a much-needed component used in gaining and retaining muscle mass. That's why many doctors prescribe TRT Doral, FL, for men having problems with strength. One recent study found that men who increased their testosterone levels using TRT gained as much as 2.5 pounds of muscle mass.
Whether your gym performance is lacking, or you can't lift heavy items like you used to, don't blame it all on age. You could be suffering from hypogonadism.
If you're like millions of other men in their late 20s and 30s, dealing with hair loss is a reality you don't want to face. Closely related to testosterone decline and hormone imbalances, hair loss is distressing for many men. This common symptom is often related to a derivative of testosterone called DHT. Excess amounts of DHT cause hair follicles to halt their production, causing follicles to die.
Because hair located at the front and crown is more sensitive to DHT, it grows slower than other follicles and eventually stops growing permanently. Thankfully, TRT and anti-aging treatments for men in Doral, FL, is now available to address hair loss for good.
While it's true that you can't change your genes, you can change the effects of low testosterone on your body. Whether you're suffering from thinning hair or hair loss across your entire head, TRT and other hormone therapies can stop hair loss and even reverse the process.
Also called "man boobs," gynecomastia is essentially the enlargement of male breast tissue. This increase in fatty tissue is often caused by hormonal imbalances and an increase in estrogen. For men, estrogen levels are elevated during andropause. Also called male menopause, andropause usually happens because of a lack of testosterone.
If you're a man between the ages of 40 and 55, and you're embarrassed by having large breasts, don't lose hope. TRT is a safe, effective way to eliminate the underlying cause of gynecomastia without invasive surgery. With a custom HRT and fitness program, you can bring your testosterone and estrogen levels back to normal before you know it.
Decreased energy was once considered a normal part of aging. Today, many doctors know better. Advances in technology and our understanding of testosterone show that low T and lack of energy often go hand-in-hand.
If you're struggling to enjoy activities like playing with your kids or hiking in a park due to lack of energy, it could be a sign of low T. Of course, getting tired is perfectly normal for any man. But if you're suffering from continual fatigue, a lack of enjoyment, or a decrease in energy, it might be time to speak with a doctor.
Whether you're having a tough time getting through your day or can't finish activities you used to love, TRT could help.
A study from 2011 showed that men who lose a week's worth of sleep can experience lowered testosterone levels â as much as 15%, according to experts. Additional research into the topic found almost 15% of workers only get five hours of sleep (or less) per night. These findings suggest that sleep loss negatively impacts T levels and wellbeing.
The bottom line is that men who have trouble sleeping often suffer from lower testosterone levels as a result. If you find yourself exhausted at the end of the day but toss and turn all night long, you might have low T.
TRT and anti-aging medicines can restore your T levels back to normal, which can help you sleep better with proper diet and exercise.
You're feeling down about everything, and there's no solid explanation for why you're in such a crummy mood. Your daily life is great and full of success, but you can't help but feel unexcited and unmotivated. If you're experiencing symptoms like these, you may be depressed â and it may stem from low testosterone.
A research study from Munich found that men with depression also commonly had low testosterone levels. This same study also found that depressed men had cortisol levels that were 67% higher than other men. Because higher cortisol levels lead to lower levels of testosterone, the chances of severe depression increase.
Depression is a very real disorder and should always be diagnosed and treated by your doctor. One treatment option gaining in popularity is TRT for depression. Studies show that when TRT is used to restore hormone levels, men enjoy a lighter, more improved mood. That's great news for men who are depressed and have not had success with other treatments like anti-depression medicines, which alter the brain's chemistry.
Ask anyone over the age of 50 how their memory is, and they'll tell you it wasn't what it used to be. Memory loss and lack of concentration occur naturally as we age â these aren't always signs of dementia or Alzheimer's.
However, what many men consider a symptom of age may be caused by low testosterone. A 2006 study found that males with low T levels performed poorly on cognitive skill tests. These results suggest that low testosterone may play a part in reducing cognitive ability. If you're having trouble staying on task or remembering what your schedule is for the day, it might not be due to your age. It might be because your testosterone levels are too low. If you're having trouble concentrating or remembering daily tasks, it could be time to talk to your doctor.
Why? The aforementioned study found that participating men experienced improved cognitive skills when using TRT.
Even though today's society is more inclusive of large people, few adults enjoy gaining weight as they age. Despite their best efforts, many men just can't shed the extra pounds around their midsections, increasing their risk of heart disease and cancer.
Often, male weight gain is caused by hormone imbalances that slow the metabolism and cause weight to pile on. This phase of life is called andropause and happens when there is a lack of testosterone in the body. Couple that with high cortisol levels, and you've got a recipe for flabby guts and double chins.
Fortunately, TRT treatments and physician-led weight loss programs can correct hormone imbalances and lead to healthy weight loss for men.
Sermorelin is a synthetic hormone peptide, like GHRH, which triggers the release of growth hormones. When used under the care of a qualified physician, Sermorelin can help you lose weight, increase your energy levels, and help you feel much younger.
Human growth hormone (HGH) therapy has been used for years to treat hormone deficiencies. Unlike HGH, which directly replaces declining human growth hormone levels, Sermorelin addresses the underlying cause of decreased HGH, stimulating the pituitary gland naturally. This approach keeps the mechanisms of growth hormone production active.
Benefits of Sermorelin include:
Ipamorelin helps to release growth hormones in a person's body by mimicking a peptide called ghrelin. Ghrelin is one of three hormones which work together to regulate the growth hormone levels released by the pituitary gland. Because Ipamorelin stimulates the body to produce growth hormone, your body won't stop its natural growth hormone production, which occurs with synthetic HGH.
Ipamorelin causes growth hormone secretion that resembles natural release patterns rather than being constantly elevated from HGH. Because ipamorelin stimulates the natural production of growth hormone, our patients can use this treatment long-term with fewer health risks.
One of the biggest benefits of Ipamorelin is that it is suitable for both men and women. It provides significant short and long-term benefits in age management therapies, boosting patients' overall health, wellbeing, and outlook on life. When growth hormone is produced by the pituitary gland using Ipamorelin, clients report amazing benefits.
Some of those benefits include:

If all U.S. states were countries, Florida would be the 18th biggest economy in the entire world, bigger than the Netherlands, Indonesia (the largest Muslim country in the world), Saudi Arabia and Switzerland. Florida is home to several major industries which contributed to a GDP of nearly $1.3 trillion in 2021 including tourism, agriculture, construction, international banking, healthcare, and aerospace and defense. In the U.S., it is the fourth largest state by GDP, behind only California, Texas and New York and contributes more than 5% of the U.S.'s total GDP. It is also among the biggest exporter of goods in the U.S. and also among the biggest importers of trade goods. Of all the metropolitan areas in the state, the Miami Metropolitan Area is by far the biggest, more than double that of the next biggest metropolitan area.
Even though Florida was particularly hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, mainly due to governmental policies which tried to avoid lockdowns as far, it does seem that the policy worked to an extent as Florida is among the states with the lowest unemployment rates in 2022, showing a successful reemergence from the Covid-19 pandemic. In November 2022, Florida's unemployment rate was just 2.6%, having gained 428,200 jobs or 4.7% compared to the previous year. This may change as widespread layoffs are expected in the state in 2023 from various industries because of an economic slowdown.
Tourism is an extremely important part of Florida's GDP with around 40 million visitors each year and in 2019, the tourism industry contributed $96 billion to the state's GDP. When the pandemic struck, tourism was one of the worst impacted industries and the state saw the number of tourists fall by 70% from the previous year, which had a major impact on Florida's GDP in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, as the world has mostly returned to pre-pandemic policies, tourism has improved significantly as well and registered an increase of 39.4% from the previous year, which bodes well for Florida's future. However, this has to be balanced with major economic headwinds as a result of high inflation and interest rates, while a recession is imminent.

While most courses are flat and surrounded by homes in private country clubs, this expansive area that covers 16,000 acres features natural dunes created from phosphate mines in this mostly rural area about an hour east of Tampa. Mosaic, the company that manages that industry, is selling the land to Kemper. Only around 2,500 of those acres have been developed.
In short, this is not Bay Hill, Doral, Innisbrook, TPC Sawgrass, or any other Florida course you’ve played or heard of.
The resort is home to three 18-hole courses that are all on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses.

In addition to the three courses, a short course is being developed. It is also home to multiple practice areas, a 228-room hotel, outdoor pool, tennis courts, bass fishing spots, a shooting range, and spa, along with several restaurants and bars, making it a resort that you don’t have to leave for the entirety of your trip.
The resort has also gained popularity in recent years. When a sale was first explored in 2016, Mosaic was seeking around $90 million. The Kemper sale is reportedly for $160 million.

Ian Poulter, who played for the Ryder Cup Europe team in 2021, appeared to be upset with the lack of birthday shoutouts from the team’s Twitter account.
Poulter turned 47 on Tuesday, and his teammate Sergio Garcia turned 43 on Monday. Both golfers left the PGA Tour and opted to play in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series, which ruffled feathers in 2022.
Poulter responded to the Ryder Cup Europe Twitter account after a tweet of a video showing Francesco Molinari getting onto the green from the rough. The tweet read "incredible touch."
"What’s really an ‘incredible touch’ is the Players that helped build the @RyderCupEurope Brand with other players as well," Poulter wrote. "You can’t just bring yourself to say a simple Happy Birthday. @TheSergioBarcia B’day Yesterday. Unfortunately this says so much."
Poulter was razzed a bit on Twitter, even from teammate Lee Westwood, but took it in stride.
Padraig Harrington picked Poulter to be on the Ryder Cup Europe team in 2021 along with Garcia and Shane Lowry. Poulter was 1-2 in three matches and picked up one point. The U.S. won the Ryder Cup.
LIV Golfers are not exactly prohibited from Ryder Cup qualification. Luke Donald could invite European players who joined LIV as his captain picks unless eligibility strictly changes leading up to the tournament.
Poulter said in October he still hoped to play in the Ryder Cup again.
"We can still qualify for the team as far as I’m aware," Poulter said, via the Guardian. "Unless we’ve been told we can’t qualify, then I’m still ready to play as much as I possibly can and try and make that team."
Earlier this month, Jon Rahm called on golf organizations to make a uniform decision on the matter.
"There's some people that are going to have to make some tough choices, right? A little bit of that is out of my reach. My guess is I hope the PGA of America and European Tour make a decision together. I don't think it would be smart to have one team allowing LIV players and one not to," he said, via CBS Sports.
"And besides that, even if they decide not to on that side, I think it's going to give an opportunity for a lot of great young players to show up and have the chance in Europe, right? It's just going to be an opportunity for all of them. We saw a younger U.S. team last Ryder Cup and they did what they did. So I'm hoping these younger guys who have grown up watching the Ryder Cup and seeing their idols do what they do, let's say, it energizes the team a little bit in any manner and we show up there to win."

An assisted living facility could sell land next to its campus near North Miami to an apartment developer.
Miami-based Abreu Development filed an administrative site plan with Miami-Dade County for the Delmas North Apartments. They would be located on the 1.71-acre site on the west side of the Pinecrest Rehabilitation Center at 13650 N.E. Third Court. Pinecrest Ltd., managed by Andrew S. Weisman, owns the assisted living center and the vacant land. It’s agreed to sell the latter property to Abreu Development.
Daniel Abreu, a principal of the developer, said the land was approved decades ago for the expansion of the assisted living facility, but that didn’t take place. Eventually, it was put up for sale.
“Land like this should have been built on years ago,” Abreu said. “More people want to live east of Interstate 95, close to the beaches, workplaces and the highway.”
The developer previously received County Commission approval for a land use change on the site, but this is the first time the site plan with a specific number of units has been revealed.
The six-story Delmas North Apartments would total 77,971 square feet, with 80 units and 141 parking spaces. There would be no major amenities in order to keep development costs and rents down, Abreu said.
It would include eight workforce housing units for people making 120% to 140% of area median income.
The median household income in Miami-Dade County is $57,815.
Units would range from 577 to 1,051 square feet. There would be 30 one-bedroom units, 30 two-bedroom units and 20 three-bedroom units.
Doral-based Cabrera Ramos Architects designed the project, and the developer is represented by Miami-based attorney Jerry B. Proctor. Access to the building will be from Northeast Second Court.
Abreu said he hopes to break ground in early summer and he believes construction costs are coming down.
“Construction costs have come down a bit because of the slowdown,” he said. “They're nothing like pre-pandemic levels, but the cost of wood and steel is down 20% to 30%. And there’s a better availability of supply.”

Florida High School Athletic Association Executive Director Craig Damon brought up the idea of an Open Division during the association’s Football Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday.
The basic concept is the top eight programs in the state on the final rankings would immediately be placed in the Open Division and compete for a state championship.
There could either be one Open Division that would involve all teams or two Open Divisions — one for schools with an enrollment over 1,500 students and one for schools with an enrollment under 1,500.
Some of the details certainly could change before it goes to a vote or is implemented, but that’s the basic concept.
While the measure still has a long way to go before it becomes reality, it is worth looking at how the 2022 season would have been different if there were two Open Divisions.
Bottom line, two potential Open Divisions would have resulted in new state champions in five of the nice classes.
(Seeds are based on the final football rankings)
2. St. Thomas Aquinas
3. Bartram Trail
5. Plantation-American Heritage
7. Pine Forest
1. Miami Central
2. Trinity Christian
4. University Christian
5. Clearwater Central Catholic
6. Cardinal Gibbons
7. Florida High
8. Miami-Booker T. Washington
Columbus, which beat Apopka in an overtime thriller in the state championship game, would be in the Open Division and certain change things. Apopka, Ocoee and Palm Beach Central still would advance to the Final Four, but Region 4 would be shaken up. Western, which lost to region runner-up Doral Academy, would be the No. 1 seed.
If Doral won the region, the state semifinal games would have been No. 1 Palm Beach Central hosting No. 4 Doral and No. 2 Apopka hosting No. 3 Ocoee.
This class is shaken up significantly without state champion Aquinas, Region 1 champion Jones and Region 1 runner-up Edgewater all in the Open Division.
Oviedo becomes the top seed in Region 1 with 2021 Class 7A state-runner up Tampa Bay Tech at No. 3. Dillard jumps to the No. 1 seed in Region 3 with Blanche Ely — which beat Dillard in the regional semifinal — at No. 2.
In the Final Four, Ely would have been the top overall seed and host Region 2 champion Jesuit with Region 4 champion Homestead playing the Region 1 champion.
Another class that loses some its top teams: Miami Central (Class 2M champion), Plantation-American Heritage (Class 2M runner-up), Cardinal Gibbons (Region 3 runner-up) and Booker T. Washington (Region 4 semifinalist).
Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian would be the No. 1 seed in Region 3 and Boynton Beach at No. 2. Both teams went 8-2 in the regular season. Miami Norland, the Region 4 runner-up, becomes the top seed in Region 4 with Miami Northwestern at No. 2.
This could go several different ways. Norland or Northwestern would be the top overall seed in the Final Four and host either Lakewood or Boynton Beach (if it won Region 3). No. 2 Bolles would host the No. 3 seed, either Calvary Christian (if it won Region 3) or Lakewood.
The top four seeds in the class — Trinity Christian (Region 1 finalist), Chaminade-Madonna (state champion), University Christian (state semifinalist) and Clearwater Central Catholic (state runner-up) — all are in the Open Division. That’s three of the four regional champions.
Cardinal Newman becomes the No. 1 seed and beat Benjamin twice in 2022, so it’s a pretty safe projection in Region 3. First Academy beat Orlando Christian Prep in the regular season and Carrollwood Day beat Northside Christian in the playoffs, so those are strong projections for Region 1 and Region 2, respectively.
Final four matchups in this scenario would be Cardinal Newman hosting True North (Region 4 champion) and Carrollwood Day hosting First Academy.
State champion Lakeland and Region 1 finalist Bartram Trail both are lost to the Open Division. The only big change to the playoff picture would be in Region 2, where regional finalist Lake Minneola moves up to the top seed.
If Lake Minneola won the regional championship, the state semifinal matchups would have been Venice hosting Lake Minneola and Buchholz hosting Kissimmee-Osceola.
Pine Forest, which went undefeated during the regular season but was upset in the regional semifinals, was the lone team from the classification to qualify for the Open Division. Had there been an open division, the bracket remains largely unchanged.
State runner-up Florida High moves into the Open Division with state champion Cocoa remaining.
Regional finalist Suwannee was the No. 2 seed in Region 1, so it would move up to the top seed in the region with West Florida moving to No. 2. Suwanee beat West Florida in the regional semifinal.
A Suwanee regional champion would have set up a Final Four with Bradford hosting Bishop Verot and Suwannee hosting Cocoa.
No teams from this classification qualified for the Open Division.
State champion Hawthorne missed the Open Division by one spot, so this class cation also remains unchanged.
