Endometriosis Treatments with HRT
Endometriosis is a hormonal and immune condition in which the endometrium, which typically grows inside of the uterus, grows outside of it. These endometrial growths often occur on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina, bladder, and the pelvic sidewall. During the menstrual cycle, endometrial tissue growing in other parts of the body behaves the same way as the endometrium growing inside the body – often causing bleeding inside the body and scarring.
Endometriosis can be very uncomfortable and sometimes painful. When hormones are balanced, pain and discomfort from endometriosis can often be dramatically reduced*. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) treatment is available to help correct hormonal imbalances. HRT for women is a safe and effective way to help treat symptoms of endometriosis*.
If a hormonal imbalance is the cause of your endometriosis, hormone replacement therapy may be the solution for you. Global Life Rejuvenation physicians have successfully used HRT to help women alleviate symptoms of endometriosis*. Contact us to meet a physician and get started today.
What Causes Endometriosis?
There is no medical consensus about the exact cause of endometriosis. There are a number of theories, several of which include the involvement of xenoestrogen hormones.
Xenoestrogens are hormones that are extremely similar to estrogen in both their molecular structure and their effects on the body. Too much estrogen, specifically too much xenoestrogen, is thought to stimulate the growth of endometrial tissue. This theory has provided the foundation for effective hormone therapy treatments for endometriosis.
Symptoms of Endometriosis
The symptoms of endometriosis are similar to premenstrual symptoms (PMS) and may include bloating, cramping, and fatigue. Other common symptoms are pelvic pain and pain during sexual intercourse.
It is important to note that not all women with endometriosis will experience every one of these symptoms, and some women may not report any. Additionally, there are women who do not suffer from endometriosis who experience these symptoms.
Treatments for Endometriosis Using HRT
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has been successful in regulating and normalizing estrogen levels. The most effective endometriosis treatment options also include a nutrition program designed to avoid possible food contributors, such as foods sprayed with xenoestrogen-containing pesticides.
Hormone replacement therapy provides a solid foundation for the treatment of endometriosis by normalizing hormone levels. Our natural HRT programs also include a customized nutrition, supplement and fitness plan personalized to meet your specific needs.
Is HRT Safe?
It’s important to remember that even though it’s called hormone replacement therapy, the goal of this treatment is not to replace someone’s hormone level to once had. Our process is to give a very small amount of hormones to supplement or to help your body naturally produce hormones that it no longer makes as a result of aging*. By doing this, it’s possible to alleviate symptoms associated with hormone imbalance.
HRT for women is completely safe when taken under the guidance of an expert practitioner. Among women, HRT has prevented heart disease and osteoporosis, as well as, lowering the risk of developing diabetes*. We don’t want women to suffer from endometriosis when HRT when they may not have to.
