The owners of H2Ocean Restaurant & Raw Bar have officially confirmed the official closure of the restaurant.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — H2Ocean Restaurant & Raw Bar in Morris County will officially close its doors after nearly a decade of operation after being purchased by a developer.
The upscale Cedar Knolls restaurant, located at 41 Ridgedale Avenue, serves locally sourced seafood with classic dishes like a Maine lobster roll, Maine clam chowder, and wild seafood linguine, among dozens of other popular options.
The restaurant was sold to a developer, according to owners Sylvia and Michael Frodella. The developer who bought the land on which H2Ocean sits is committed to working with the town of Cedar Knolls and has been given permission to build an assisted living facility.
"One concern many of you had was, 'Were you strong-armed?' the answer is 'no!' We were never bullied or intimidated through the entire process. It was a decision that we did not take lightly, however, it is the best decision for our family," Frodella wrote in her announcement of the closure.
H2Ocean, which opened in 2014, will close its doors on April 1, 2023. Frodella expressed gratitude to the restaurant's loyal customers, the Cedar Knolls community, and the entire Hanover Township for their support.

"As you all know, H2Ocean managed to find ways to weather the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic. From re-inventing the restaurant by moving away from traditional dining, leveraging technology to offer online ordering, curbside takeout, and delivery services. However, it was because of our incredible staff, that H2Ocean managed to stay afloat during those difficult times," Frodella said.
While Frodella did not reveal the company's future plans, she did state that they will keep the H2Ocean name, logo, liquor license and all of its contents.
"H2Ocean Restaurant was proud to call New Jersey her home. New Jersey, is home to many wonderful restaurants. No need to travel to NYC! Let’s continue to show support to all the fine eateries, bars, and small businesses that continue to struggle operating with food cost, labor shortages, rent, mortgage, insurance costs and supply shortages," Frodella said.

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ—Recent openings by AutoZone, QuickChek and MedExpress Urgent Care, the first tenants at Hanover Crossroads in Cedar Knolls, NJ, mark a significant milestone for the new shopping center. Additional leases this spring by T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Five Below and ULTA Beauty have further enhanced the property’s mix of high-profile national retailers.
Currently under development by Teaneck, NJ-based Key Properties, the 107,000-square-foot shopping center is revitalizing a key Morris County commercial corridor. The project is nearly 80-percent leased, with several additional tenant announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Severe weather season continues in force across Texas today with a new round of dangerous thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.A cold front dropping southward will separate a very warm and humid air mass from a cooler, drier air mass. Severe weather season continues in force across Texas today with a new round of dangerous thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
A cold front dropping southward will separate a very warm and humid air mass from a cooler, drier air mass. Aided by some upper-air energy and daytime heating, explosive thunderstorm development is expected this afternoon across portions of western Texas.
The government's Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk, or a 2 out 5 on the severe weather probability scale, across much of central and western Texas into southeastern New Mexico, with an embedded Enhanced Risk, or a 3 out of 5 on the severe weather probability scale, over western Texas.
Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts greater than 60 mph, hail larger than golf balls, and a few tornadoes, including the risk for a strong tornado.
Cities in Texas at risk today include Midland, Odessa, Austin, and Lubbock.
Farther north, a few stronger thunderstorms will also be possible today and tonight from northeastern Texas and Oklahoma through Illinois as the cold front sinks slowly south and eastward. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 50 mph and small hail.
In addition, locally heavy rainfall will remain possible today across northern Texas, Oklahoma, and northwestern Arkansas where one to locally 3 inches of rainfall have prompted Flood Watches to be issued for today. Flood Watches and Warnings are also posted across southeastern Texas through Sunday.
Severe weather chances will diminish on Sunday, though a few robust thunderstorms will be possible across the Lower Mississippi into central Texas along the slowly advancing cold front. Isolated gusty thunderstorms will also be possible across the Ohio Valley into western Pennsylvania along and ahead of the same cold front.
Make sure to frequently check WeatherBug for updates, as a watch can quickly turn into a warning upon imminent danger. It is important to stay prepared for active weather. Make sure you know the difference between a watch and a warning should they become issued. A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe weather to take place, whereas a warning means severe weather is imminent and you need to act fast to prevent damage to property or even loss of life.
