Owen Caprio led off the fifth with a walk, causing the Boilermakers to change pitchers, as Jason Suero was replaced by Glenn Falone . Falone walked Sal Catanzaro, and gave up a two-run double to Michael Marchitelli, making the score 7-6. Jake Wall walked on four pitches, and after a wild pitch that scored Marchitelli, Eric Barton singled, giving the Blue Devils an 8-7 lead as Wall scored.

The Fair Lawn winner will receive $1,000 a week for life. The winning Cash4Life numbers for Thursday were: 38, 46, 49, 50, 59 with the Cash Ball: 02.
